Reviews for Hotel Providence

Love it here!

Lovely hotel. Fabulous staff that make sure you feel welcome. Had a question about the TV and they sent someone in 2 minutes. And they have coffee, tea, and snacks available all the time. Bed was so comfortable and pillows were great (not the big, high kind that hurt your neck), Will come back for sure!

Avoid if you value your vehicle

AVOID. I was ready to give this hotel a 4 star review until I looked at my car the next day. We paid $40 for the overnight valet parking and I even tipped the valet an extra $20 upon my arrival. When we left the next morning it was raining so we rushed into the car without giving it a good look over. The next day we noticed these scratches all over our hood (more not pictured). I'd like to believe it wasn't the hotel staff, but either way that means they aren't parking cars in a safe location. This was on top of paying approximately $350 for a one night stay...

Lovely old hotel

Beautiful old hotel, I loved the original artwork on the walls. We had some delay checking in due to computer issues, however the front desk staff couldn’t have been nicer. They offered us a free drink pass at the bar, which we couldn’t use as we were going out. The suite we had was roomy and immaculate. The only flaw is the windows looked at a very close brick wall, that did make sleeping in easier as very little sunlight. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fantastic. Again, the staff couldn’t have been nicer, The area is much like any city, there were people sleeping on the sidewalk. They didn’t bother anyone and we’re not a concern. I would stay again while visiting Providence for a night out . One suggestion for the hotel, when checking out we asked the clerk why the suites were named after local authors and she didn’t know. In fact she didn’t know who they were. It left us wondering if they had been guests at the hotel . Maybe some printed information should be left at the desk. The clerk said that a lot of people ask but she didn’t know.

Disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Our experience was disappointing. The staff are very nice, but the hotel decor is tired and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. Also although the bar is meant to be open until 23:00 when we returned on a Friday evening at 22:30 we found it closed. Our experience was not augmented by the fact that it is located in a run down area of town with many unfortunate homeless in evidence.

Very clean comfortable suites

The staff is welcoming, valet is waiting to take your car. The room was very nicely decorated. Room clean and beds comfortable. Waters, snacks and coffee available all the time. Which was fantastic for my work trip. Highly recommend. I would definitely stay here again.
