About the Hotel

Alexandra Resort is named after the coastal paradise it's part of – the 6,500-acre Princess Alexandra National Marine Park. This protected area is a sanctuary for the creatures living in the north barrier reef of Providenciales, and it keeps Grace Bay’s 12 miles of quiet, sugar-sand beaches pristine. Relax seaside under yellow umbrellas, with a drink in hand by a lagoon-style pool, or on a private terrace outfitted in teakwood furniture.

Reviews for Alexandra Resort

Hidden Gem

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 22 hours ago

Initially I was a bit cautious as the resort didn't feel like the stars it was given but after a day or so I realized I enjoyed the boutique feeling a few more days I realized I enjoyed being taken care of by the same wonderful staff. I'd rather have a smaller buffet with good food than tons of options with mediocre food. Everything was perfect and the beach was breathtaking to say the least. Also being able to dine at and use the beach at their sister resort Blue Haven was a +. Special thanks to the following for making our stay enjoyable. Marjorie, Claudie, Thermina, Taliya, Millianne , Bobo, Mr. Charles, Nicola ( Blue Haven ), Kamar BH, Alonso BH, Alexandra BH, Darline, Paula, Skyers, Mariline , Mary, Gloria, Loudridge, Rebecca, Ronell, Andre. Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Great Girls Trip

Stayed the last week of April 2024 in an upgraded Deluxe Ocean Front 2 bedroom. We lucked out and got the top floor which had awesome views of Grace Bay. The master and living room had sliders out to the generous balcony with a table for 6 and two comfy chairs with ottomons. The second bedroom had it's own private balcony and ensuite. The beds were comfortable, the shower lacked water pressure but felt great - I liked the rain feature but the hand held was lacking. The staff at the resort were all very friendly. The servers seemed to remember our preferences and we especially liked Judy Ann from Jamaica. She made us feel very special. The restaurants were good - Black Rock and The Fish Deck for dinner did not disappoint. The buffet was good - on par with a cruise ship with an option for eggs made your way (omelet station). I caught the entertainment the first few evenings - as we turned in early after playing the sun all day. The fire dancer/breather was a bit disturbing as he just kept pouring huge amounts of flammable liquid in his mouth and blowing it out - he asked for volunteers from the audience and one girl looked terrified. By the end of the show the smell of kerosene was overwhelming. The location on Grace Bay was perfect - the water is absolutely stunning. It was windy the first few days which made floating in the ocean a bit of a challenge but once the wind died down, it was super relaxing - absolutely glorious. The drink service at the beach and pool area was a bit lacking - they didn't come by very often and it was easier to just go to the bar yourself The "lady" serves up Jerk Chicken and rice during certain hours - it was well worth it. Another tip - order the chicken quesadilla and ask to add Chicken. The food truck area was great - the BBQ skewers were a huge hit with our group. You need to make reservations for dining at Fish Deck and Black Rock. The reservation system is flawed in that you can only make same day reservations - and they expect them for Breakfast at Fish Deck. They can improve in this area. We took the shuttle to Blue Haven for dinner at Salt. The shuttle was very crowded on the return trip and some folks were left behind to wait "for the next shuttle" but there is only a single van making the 10 minute drive between resorts so it's at least a 20 minute wait between shuttles.

even with the drama....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Great pool, food was good. We never waited for any meals ever at any restaurant. Rasheed is a rock star waiter. Totally on point. Blue Haven is breathtaking. Definitely make the short bus ride to see it. Second day our A/C failed, so they sent a crew to move us down the hall. The new room had no hot water, but they fixed it quickly. Then the door lock battery died, so we were locked out. The night table lamp had shattered at some point and was glued together. Even with all this drama, I'd go back again. The staff took care of everything as quickly as humanly possible and every one was cheery and polite. Nice relaxed atmosphere. I liked it a lot.

Mediocre

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I read reviews for many months and have been to many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. This resort is just mediocre. Little value for the money we spent. This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos and the weather was not good. We stayed late April 2024. T Positives We stayed in a standard garden room. It was not updated but very comfortable and clean. Resort was easy to navigate because it has a small footprint. The best food option is the Jerk Chicken from the lady cooking near the beach. The lady cooking does a great job and is very personable. Negatives Food for the most part was below average in quality. You need to follow the calendar that you are given at check in. It shows the days that the restaurants are open and closed. The buffet felt more like a cafeteria. I was unlucky our first night and got very sick after eating dinner at the buffet. At breakfast there was one cooking station. There were no made to order waffles or hot pancakes just an omelet station. If you had the waffles or pancakes from the self-serve, they were warm not hot. To get a reservation for the Black Rock, Fish Deck and Fire and Ice you must stay up until midnight or get up very early morning that day to reserve dinner at a decent time. We visited both Black Rock and the Fish Deck twice. Each time they were both a hit and a miss. Food quality and service was not consistent. I suggest you cut into your food before eating to make sure the food is cooked properly. We were also able to eat at Fire and Ice at the Blue Haven. Unfortunately, the dinner lasted more than 2.5 hrs. We happened to be seated near a party of sixteen. It was clear that the staff could not handle both regular tables and the small party. Almost every food place missed something that was ordered. Either the whole meal, part of the meal or a drink. There were a lot of crying babies and small children at both the beach, restaurants, and pool. Many more kids than we expected. There was nonexistent drink service at the beach. Chair cushions on the beach were in dire need of replacement. Very uncomfortable. The padding was shot, and the straps were no longer there to hold the pad. Off the beach there is one bathroom with two stalls for everyone. This bathroom also serves the buffet and the Black Rock restaurant. There is a second bathroom near the pool. If you have any type of mobility issues keep in mind that you must take steps to get to the beach. Very limited entertainment in the evenings. Taxi cost is expensive. We went from the resort to town and the cost was $7 per person plus tip for a five-minute ride. So, four of us spent $28 plus tip for a five-minute cab ride. I would rate the resort as a solid 3. Has potential with updates and training. We had an ok time. I am not sure how it gets so many glowing reviews. Would I return to this resort – No. Would I recommend this resort – No.
