Disappointing Beach

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in the family section during the week of July 4th. Though the resort was full, one would never have known it. Staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling. The resort itself is lovely, quiet and peaceful. We requested to be in a suite away from noise and were given the last building in the family section. The unit was clean and comfortable with an incredible view of the beach. We appreciated Jerry each day setting up our beach chairs and umbrellas. He works so hard and always with a smile. Hugaye and Reginald were awesome beach attendants. They kept us fed and hydrated each day. They knew what we liked and anticipated our needs even before we needed to ask. Kevin in water sports was very helpful in teaching my husband how to use the Hobie cat. He was patient, kind and reassuring. He has a great sense of humor, and we really enjoyed our time with him. Overall, we loved the resort. Our problem was with the beach. Grace Bay is beautiful, calm and clear water. Why they allow motorboats to traverse up and down the water in front of Grace Bay Club is a mystery to me. Every day (and frequently) very large boats came to shore in random places where people swim. They played loud music and certainly did not fit the scene in front of Grace Bay Club. They regularly picked up people going on excursions. Worse that that were the smaller speed boats that zipped up and down the beach towing rafts. They often came into shore near where we sat and would try to get business from people in the water. There is nothing less relaxing for me that floating in this beautiful bay and then having to breathe in the fumes from the motoring boats while the guy is haggling prices for a trip out with vacationers. Once my friend was out in the water and we saw a boat coming in very close to her. My husband had to run down to the water waving his hands to make sure they saw her in the water. This continual barrage of boats in and out was not relaxing at all and certainly not what we expected of Grace Bay.

SHANILE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

we arrive tomorrow because our flights were cancelled today. After hours of calling GBResort I finally got SHANILE on the phone and she quickly cancelled our stay for today and extended it to Friday as requested. getting though to the hotel had been impossible because it was "either not active" or when answered people told me I had to call some other number which was of no help. SO WE ARE VERY DELIGHTED TO HAVE CONNECTED WITH SHANILE WHO DID A GREAT AND AMIABLE JOB SWITCHING OUR DATES. WE HAVE BEEN TO THE RESORT BEFORE AND THIS IS A SPECIAL 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WITH ANOTHER COUPLE. NOW WE ARE ALL SET AND THRILLED. YOU NEED HELP DIAL THE 800 NUMBER AND ASK FOR SHANILE! Caribbean escape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Grace Bay Club exceeded my expectations. The service was warm and attentive, the beach is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever visited, and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. Every part of my stay felt relaxing and effortless—it was exactly the kind of place I needed to recharge before returning home. One of the highlights of my stay was taking a private tennis lesson with Matus. He is patient, encouraging, and an excellent instructor who tailors the lesson to your skill level. I came away with practical tips that immediately improved my game. If you’re staying at Grace Bay Club, I highly recommend booking a lesson with him.

Awesome Place with Awesome People

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My family had an awesome time at Grace Bay Club. Staff/employees are very attentive and responsive. The person assigned to you is very good with helping book trips around the island or restaurant reservations, really whatever you want. Food was awesome, especially lunch and dinner. As well as that, I took 2 tennis lessons with Matus. Matus was an outstanding tennis pro. He helped me regain confidence in my serve while making every lesson encouraging and genuinely fun while getting work done. He also recommended that my family spend a day exploring North Caicos, and it ended up being one of our favorite experiences. Matus is a fantastic coach and an even better person, and he truly made our vacation that much more enjoyable.

An Extraordinary Stay at Grace Bay Club

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Our nine-day family vacation at Grace Bay Club was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. The property, the crystal-clear water, the beautiful accommodations, and the exceptional dining were all beyond our expectations—but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the extraordinary level of service and genuine kindness we received. A very special thank-you to Jay Etienne from the Pre-Arrival Concierge Team. Jay took care of every detail before our arrival, including airport transportation, excursion planning, and dinner reservations at the most amazing restaurants. Everything was perfectly organized, allowing us to simply arrive, relax, and enjoy our vacation. Jay’s warmth, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and consistent communication truly stood out. He made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire planning process and even checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going beautifully. That level of personal attention is incredibly special and should not be overlooked. Every member of the Grace Bay Club team we encountered was kind, welcoming, and eager to make our stay memorable. We returned home with the most beautiful family memories and were completely blown away by the entire experience. Thank you, Jay, and thank you to everyone at Grace Bay Club. We cannot wait to return!
