Villa Renaissance in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

Celebrities enjoy the seclusion that the Turks and Caicos Islands offer, but that is just one of the many attributes this Caribbean haven brings to the table. While the island of Providenciales may be alluring, it is Villa Renaissance that dazzles even the most seasoned of travelers. Overlooking Grace Bay with a beachfront, this stunning property features three-dozen oceanfront and pooside suites.. The multi-room abodes feature bedrooms with Juliet-style balconies, full modern kitchens and sliding doors that disappear to make the most of the breathtaking views. The resort features a refreshing pool and poolside bar, with grocery delivery, private boat charters and personal fitness trainers available upon request.

Located off the coast of Miami, a little more than an hour by plane, a visit to Villa Renaissance has the feeling of being worlds away. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a refreshing cocktail and welcome basket - a sign of your VIP status. After that, how you spend your time is purely your decision. The sugary sands and azure waters are both so tempting, as is the collection of restaurants that are located near the resort. The Provo Golf Club is a challenging course with verdant fairways and lit tennis courts available for your use. You can pedal about the island on one of the bicycles belonging to Villa Renaissance or check-out the collection of books and DVDs at the resort's well-stocked library. Lounging by the pool also proves to be a favorite pastime for many.

Booked a 2 bedroom ocean view suite for my family(2 adults and 3 kids). The location is amazing. Great view from the living room to Grace Bay. When not on the beach or at the pool, we shared family time on the porch enjoying the same view. The location is perfect. Walking distance to many excellent restaurants and coffee shops. Short bike ride to Graceway Gourmet for groceries. We used a taxi only one evening. The beach was exactly what we were looking for. Easy access, clean and beautiful. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. There are some community buckets and pails for use by younger children and a couple of skim boards for the older kids. The pool was nice and clean. There are plenty of chairs for use. There is a pool bar with plenty of adult and kid beverages available. The pool bar is not affiliated with the property, it is affiliated with Fresh Catch. You need to pay cash or credit card for refreshments. If you want to order lunch by the pool, you can place your order from Fresh Catch at the bar and Steven will collect your lunch and deliver it to you on the property. Very convenient. The only warning is for families with older children. There are no kayaks or paddleboards available at the resort. I can see how older children might get bored. This said, there are plenty of vendors nearby with banana boat rides and para sailing for purchase. The resort beach attendant(Daniel) is very helpful and will provide you with exactly what you are looking for. This includes fresh coconut harvested directly from the resort's palm trees...delicious!

There are so many places to stay on Provo, but every year we come back to this one. It's the perfect fit for the certain expectation of peace, quiet and independence. We were greeted on our first day by the newer General Manager, Steve, and he went out of his way to answer questions and help us get settled. Once on the beach, Daniel uses quick wit and good discretion to make guests feel welcome and accommodated. Since there is no food service on property, we get the chance to visit others and their restaurants, and we're always glad to come back each evening to our comfortable ocean front villa here. One or two trips to the local grocery, and you're set for the week. We recommend Villa 304 - very well decorated with every necessity provided. One bedroom with one and half baths, full kitchen and laundry. It's our fifth visit to Provo, and we'll be back next year - certainly to Villa Renaissance.

This was our 5th visit to Turks and Caicos and our 1st stay at Villa Renaissance. Our unit (#604) was perfect for our needs for our family of 4 (kids are 8 and 5) with bunkbeds in the second bedroom. The hotel is in the heart of Grace Bay, which makes most things walkable during daylight hours. Due to recent increase in crime, we do not choose to walk around after dark. We always rent a car for the week to visit other parts of the island. The week we were visiting was unusually windy, so we spent a good deal of time on the beach on the south side of the island. Our unit was extremely well-equipped - far better than many other condos in other Grace Bay resorts or even other condos we've rented in the States. Pool was clean, plenty of towels and chairs, staff was friendly and helpful. There was a security guard at night in the parking lot, but no gate (this is typical for Grace Bay, as there are few resorts with gates). Everything was very clean. My only criticism is that the door from the second bedroom to the balcony did not lock properly. We asked the front desk for help, but it was never fixed. I would happily stay again if choosing to stay on Grace Bay. It has become a bit busier in the last few years, so if we visit again we may stay elsewhere for more serenity.

#501 and the VR is the perfect vacation for staying on a beautiful beach, watching ever-changing sunsets, lounging by the pool late afternoons, and having conveniences that make it so easy to enjoy your time here. The owner of 501 has supplied the one bedroom unit with everything you need; it is comfortable, modern, spacious, and has fully stocked kitchen/ supplies. No car needed here; IGA supermarket, shopping, and plenty of restaurants/bars are within walking distance. Since the VR only has about 40 units, there is no battling for lounge chairs at 8am, and with the small pool bar closing around 7pm, and no restaurant on premises, a crowded, party atmosphere does not exist here- which is why we like it so much. When you want a bar scene and good food, you have plenty of choices nearby. Know in advance, that like some other islands, food/drink/taxis are expensive, so plan accordingly. We will be back in 501 for the 5th time next spring. No need to go to another island!
