It's hard to improve on perfection, but The Palms, Turks and Caicos, lauded as Turks and Caicos' top resort, managed to take the island's flour-white sands and tranquil seas and turn them into something even more beautiful. Manicured lawns surround a cluster of British colonial-style buildings made from hand-cut coral, marrying understated luxury with Caribbean coolness.

We stayed at the Palms Nov.25-Dec.2nd. Almost booked Grace Bay Club, and so glad we didn’t. The Palms is a much nicer property. Beautiful trees and gardens throughout providing shade while walking on the paths that take you around the property. The resort is classy and clean. The view from the lobby to the courtyard is picturesque. We ate many yummy lunches at Si Si and had many drinks at the pool bar which is covered and has these cute little tables and seats in the pool. The beach was beautiful, soft sand and turquoise clear water. There was plenty of chairs, umbrellas and towels. Our room was spacious, newly renovated, nicely decorated quiet and cool. The only complaint is our pillows were too soft. We called down for firmer pillows, but they were still soft, so our sleeps weren’t that great. The resort shop had beautiful clothes and jewelry. My husband bought some Italian linen shirts. There is a store on site where you can purchase snacks, drinks and alcohol which is a nice touch. The hotel offered a free shuttle to their two other resorts which was also a bonus. We had some dinners and lunches out (Grace’s Cottage, Infinity, Embers, The Ritz), but found the Parallel 23 restaurant the most romantic, best menu in terms of choices and the food was really good too. We had three dinners there. They had live music one night and it made for a very special evening. Breakfast was served in a beautiful garden and was simple. The ladies at breakfast were always smiling and very friendly. Special thanks to Dwayne at L ’Attitude bar, Herby at Sisi bar, the ladies at Parallel 23- who provided excellent service and were so friendly, and Mark the manager who was seen everywhere, all the time, making sure everything was up to par. He also curates the wine list at the resort and we loved the choices, especially the French Rose. We liked it so much, we are already planning a trip back.

We are currently day 2 here and I just had to write about how wonderful this place is. Right from the taxi to reception area a sense of calm settles over you. The hosts were so very pleasant and accommodating and very excited about my ‘mature’ bachelorette weekend. (I’m 55). The rooms were bright, updated, clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. They had a fan by the fruit so flies wouldn’t land. All pastries were covered with a cloth!! First time I have seen that and believe me so appreciative! The staff at beach Robert and ‘Oat’ are professional and so very helpful. I am reserving that last star for the remainder of the trip. 😉

My wife and I had a fun trip with our 1.5 year old son to the Palms. We loved how walkable everything was on the property - you could get from the front desk to the beach in 5 minutes All of the staff were incredibly friendly, all remembering our names and interacting with our son but Tisha from the front desk team was incredible!! She went over the top with special accommodations we needed for our son and were very grateful for her help. The pool / beach service was a little slow at times, though it was fairly busy. We’d certainly come back

The Palms is a beautiful resort, but what’s happening at the beach chair area is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. The beach staff place floaties, pool noodles, magazines, and kids’ toys on chairs to make them look “reserved,” and then refuse to let guests sit unless you pay them privately in advance. They repeatedly told us people reserved these chairs at 6 AM — which is absolutely not true. I asked another guest when he “reserved” his chairs, and he said the night before. I also overheard the staff offering to “reserve spots” for guests the previous evening. Meanwhile, dozens of chairs sit empty for hours while paying resort guests are being turned away. This is manipulation and it’s abusive to guests. It also creates a horrible experience at a resort that markets itself as luxury. Only after I called the manager did these supposedly “reserved” chairs magically become available. That tells you everything you need to know. This practice is dishonest, unprofessional, and should not exist at a resort charging these prices. Do not fall for the beach chair reservation scheme. The resort needs to take immediate action to stop this behavior.

Excellent service. Emilienne at the breakfast area was exceptional. Room was beautiful, housekeeping staff on top of things. Only downside is the towel person by the pool is not very friendly. Seems bothered. The boutique young lady was also quite rude, I greeted her. She didn’t look up and proceeded to ignore us the entire time in the shop. They have beautiful things, but with that attitude, we just left without purchasing anything.. restaurant staff and grounds are great. Reception desk personnel was very accommodating.
