Great place to stay! SUPER beaches, the best on of Grace Bay. The breakfast was wonderful with many choices. The lunch and dinner choices were nice, highly recommend the fresh fish caught daily. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The staff was wonderful. Evanson was one of our favorite! He was very attentive and checked on us frequently by the pool or on the beach. We learned a lot about the island and appreciate how kind he was our week in Provo. The staff at Grace Bay was wonderful, helpful and always friendly. The room was very clean, modern and the bed was comfortable! HIGHLY recommend for your stay. Bikes are available for a short ride to town to shop and eat. We will definitely return!

My wife and stayed in a luxury, 1-bedroom suite at the West Bay Club in early March, 2018. This was our fourth visit to WBC at this time of year over the past four years, and our only disappointment his time was a bit of roughness in the sea that prevented my swimming along the beach. However, everything else was perfect, as it had been each previous visit. If anything may have been different it would have been a noticeable improvement in the quality of the food served at dinner. The suite was exquisite -- clean and spacious and very well equipped. The view of the sea from our third-floor height was very pleasant. The staff was warm and welcoming -- perhaps especially the beach staff. We enjoyed relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool, and we look forward to returning next year.

My wife and I recently (early March) spent 4 nights at the WBC after having done extensive research to find a reasonably-priced resort. Wanted a low-key place, a bit off the beaten path. Our studio room was on the ground floor off to the side of the pool. The room was as expected based on pictures and was very quiet. Since we didn't plan on spending too much time in the room, this option fit the bill. We were able to spend time on the beach on both our travel days to maximize our time there. The location is ideal....far west end of the bay but close enough to other dining options like the Gansevoort and the fabulously beach-shabby Somewhere Cafe (a must for happy hour; $4 drafts ! try the local brew, Turks Head). The breakfast at the WBC was excellent. The complimentary buffet included fresh fruit each morning along with eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, potatoes, baked goods, smoothies. Coffee, juice and water was poured by the waitstaff upon being seated. Made-to-order omelettes were also available at no extra charge. The service was friendly and efficient. Night 1 we walked over to have dinner at the Gansevoort (Stelle). Beautiful outside setting, not very crowded but pricey, as expected. We enjoyed the meal and thought the service was more than adequate. Next day we booked the eco-kayaking tour with Big Blue Unlimited. They picked us up at 7.50 am and by 9 am we were off to Iguana island and the mangroves for a 3 hour tour. This tour was FABULOUS. Saw lemon sharks, turtles, egrets and more. Made it back to WBC by 1.00 pm. Walked over to Somewhere Cafe for lunch. Awesome setting sitting on the upper deck overlooking the beach. The Tex-Mex fare was very good. Hard to beat the setting ! Other dinner venues (all alfresco dining) were Coco Bistro (pricey but outstanding; book far in advance), Mango Reef (ok) and Da Conch Shack (low key beach shack; great setting). WBC: had a very professional message at the spa from Mala. I asked for a 'firm' deep tissue massage and I got more than I bargained for ! It was perfect after a day of kayaking. The beach staff is very accommodating and super friendly (Wildy, Jeffery). They set us up with chaises and towels each morning. Even had lunch there on the beach one day. They even took us out on the Hobey Cat catamaran one afternoon which was great fun. The stretches of beach nearby have been beaten up by the storm last Fall and perhaps aren't what they used to be but the sand is silky smooth to walk on. Only complaint was that our bathroom towels were not replaced as ofter as I expected, often leaving us with only 2 instead of the original 4, not a big deal. Overall, the WBC met our expectations.

My wife and I stayed at WBC late February 2018 for a week. The hotel is right on the beach the rooms were nicely appointed and the staff could not have been friendlier but we found them poorly trained. The people at the services desk were pretty much unresponsive and had no connections to local eateries or activities. We asked them about excursions, scooters, and places to eat and they never got back to us once. to add insult to injury I ate the their food and got violently ill and had to be rushed to the clinic for treatment. The hotels first response was denial but once the diagnosis was food poisoning they offered a small credit to cover some of the medical costs. The other issue is that this hotel is far from town so you need to take a cab, they offer no shuttle services. One positive is the the Ganesvort is right next store with a world class eatery. All in all I would not stay here again. Try the Ganesvort or Pointe Grace.

I had planned to give this hotel a 4 star review, until we had a very poor customer service situation, detailed in this review below. The Good: We went to the West Bay Club because it is beautifully situated on Grace Bay Beach, and we have had a previous good experience at its sister property, the Grace Bay Club. There is a lovely pool we never went to because sitting on the beach was so perfect. There were plenty of chairs, towels, and staff at the beach willing to bring you whatever you wanted. Kudos to the beach staff! There was complementary snorkel equipment (but bring your own mask--theirs were a bit old and leaked), and we loved walking up and down the beach for exercise, and to different restaurants. The staff also offered to arrange excursions for guests (a little pushy, maybe?), but if that's your thing, a boat will come pick you up right at the beach in front of the hotel. The Bad: The food at the West Bay Club was a 2 star affair. Breakfast, included, was a full buffet by the pool...but were the eggs powdered? They had the consistency and taste of powdered eggs. We quickly got sick of the one 90's music tape they had running on a loop every day. The lunch menu (down at the beach) was boring, and our food was mediocre. As a result, we did not try dinner there. We quickly learned that the Gansevoort Hotel next door (to the left as you are facing the water) had excellent food for both lunch and dinner, with excellent service, so we ate there frequently. There is also a Jimmy Buffet-style beach Mexican restaurant we loved immediately to the right of the hotel as you face the water. Both places were fun to walk to via the beach. We booked a 2 bedroom suite, as we were travelling with our adult daughter, through Amex travel (5x points!). The room we were shown to was a very nice 2 bedroom with a lovely view--but I would give the suite overall 3 stars because the furnishings and equipment in the suite were tired, and it was not very clean (sticky cabinet handles--yuck!). The TV was so old that it had no HDMI port (for the Fire TV I had brought), and the iPod/iPhone connector for music was for the iPhone 4. Come on, people!! The Ugly: when we were shown to our 2nd floor room the first night, there was a big scaffolding right outside our patio! The manager was as surprised as we were, and offered to find us another room, but since it was after 6pm, and they "had to talk to Reservations" which was closed and did not open until 11am the next morning, so we would have to wait. The next morning, we woke to two men on the scaffolding outside our room, literally practically on the deck, which was seriously harshing on my mellow. (See the photos.) The manager, Andre, told us that unfortunately the hotel was fully booked, so there were no more available rooms in the hotel for our 2nd night, but that he could switch us to another room the next day. Hmmmm, not exactly true, because when I called reservations anonymously that morning, they offered me a 3 bedroom "premiere" suite on the 5th floor. I told this to Andre and he said that even though there was not a single other room available, he could not let us have that suite because it was too many levels of upgrade (2 BR to 3 BR, plus "deluxe" to "premiere"). We assured him we wanted to be cooperative, but we were paying $1500 A NIGHT for the privilege of having men in our room all day, and we were not happy. The next day, day 3 of our 4 day stay, Andre showed offered us a 1 bedroom ground floor suite (no thank you--a fish bowl and my daughter would have to sleep on the pullout) and another 2 bedroom suite on the other side of the hotel. This room had a much worse view, but no scaffolding, and looked as if it had been renovated in the past 5 years (and the TV had an HDMI port). With no other choice, we took it. Andre promised to consider how to make it up to us, and we said that we thought it would be fair to give us one free night for the incredible inconveniences we had suffered which were not at all in keeping with the experience we were paying for. Andre kept his counsel for the next two days, and it wasn’t until checkout that he told us that to give us one free night was "not possible" because we booked with Amex, rather than company directly. (You may be sure am taking it up with Amex). I reminded him that a good resolution of this matter would result in our gratitude and good online reviews about staff who tried hard to resolve a difficult situation—despite the fact he refused to offer us the only other free suite on the first night. He offered us a certificate for one night's free stay--no thanks! Who goes to Turks & Caicos for one night? And anyway, I never want to go back there! In the end, he offered to take care of our incidental charges, which ironically were only $148.00 because the food was so bad we went elsewhere. If only he had told me that in the beginning I would have gone parasailing on his dime! Bottom line: 4 stars for the location, 3 for the tired suite, 2 for the food, and 1 for customer service. All in all, a terrible experience, and management should be ashamed of themselves.
