The West Bay Club

We loved our stay at this resort. First the pluses. Massive room(luxury one bedroom suite), in room laundry, true beachfront property with a great beginner reef to snorkel only a short 10 min walk, buffet breakfast had lots of offerings, lots of off resort dining options within walking distance, grocery store and bank were walkable, beach had buoyed off area for swimming, beach area was peaceful, free chair/umbrella setup. Food was delicious, we really were impressed by the amount of great meals we had all over the island. Some minuses. If you reserve an oceanfront room you may get a ground floor room, which their site does state, but the garden is so lush and tall you are barely left with a sliver of blue to see while standing in your room. Kind of tough to swallow when the main draw of the island is the sea color and you pay the premium. The room did have the unique advantage of being able to exit the patio and walk straight to the beach. The resort is quiet, but almost too quiet. We deliberately chose a less crowded time of year, but we would have liked a little more buzz/live music/vibe. We went to the resort next door for dinner and could really feel what our place was missing. We didn’t want Ibiza, but we also didn’t want to be the only people in the resort restaurant(happened twice).

Our first time visiting Turks and Caicos and there was nothing better than celebrating my 60th on this beautiful island and this great hotel! We stayed 8 nights at West Bay Club I couldn't be more pleased and happy with everything on this trip! First off I wanna give a huge shout out to ALL the staff at this hotel. Everyone was absolutely amazing, happy, easy going, and personable. From the greeting when we first arrived down to when we checked out it was all excellent service! Breakfast is included and there was plenty every morning and constantly being replenished with fresh. Also you could custom order your eggs if you wished. Abigail at breakfast got used to me asking for not only coffee but my hot water thermos with lemon wedges! And she did it with a smile! All staff in the morning were all smiles. The grounds are well maintained and constantly being manicured and swept! The beach was fabulous, they had a beach bar where you could sit have a drink, lunch and also they provide beach service which I absolutely loved! Great quick service when we ordered food to our lounges with a couple of drinks. They also have couches and a fire pit on the patio right in front of the beach for evening drinks! The housekeeping (Rose) was excellent kept our room clean and refreshed towels daily along with turn down service. I happen to get sick just before we arrived so I was happy for the wiping down to help contain the germs!!! We had a Studio which we did not have ocean view but the room was a good size, bathroom was big, shower large, water pressure was great. Lots of closet space, we had a kitchenette. It had microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge and sink. They provided some cutlery, wine and bottle opener, wine glasses, plates and bowls. So you could bring in some snacks, fruit or sandwich stuff if you wanted to bring snacks to the beach and then enjoy dinner out. Its also close to the IGA for your room snacks, etc. The food was great, I highly recommend the Fish Tacos and the Conch Fritters .... sooooo delicious best I've had! We also enjoyed other meals outside of the resort so all food on this island is really good! I can't say enough about WBC. I will be back and would love to stay at WBC again for sure! Giovanni (ready to help for anything), Rose (Housekeeping), Beach, I wish I could name everyone but honestly they are all a "team" and you can see it and feel it! Can't wait to return!!

We had many choices of where to stay in Turks and Caicos, and because it was our first time we were uncertain on which to choose. As luck would have, we chose the perfect spot at the West Bay club. Not the largest resort on the island to be sure, but that was actually a huge bonus. The rooms and the grounds were spotless. The food choices and the waitstaff were spectacular. Roshana and all her people were friendly and courteous and gave us a “pampered “ experience. And when Roshana found out I chose this trip to propose to my beloved she was so very excited for us. She surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate and took some of our favorite photos of the entire trip. We made a friend in Roshana and we are so grateful for her time and energy to make this an even more memorable experience. Shout out to some of the other staff as well, Chris, Irene and Miss Kaysom to name a few. I can definitely see us returning to this very special place where we, with the help of some new found friends, created some very special memories. We had an amazing trip to Turks and Caicos! The hotel was clean, well maintained, optimally located and the staff was fantastic. My wife and I have travelled the world and stayed in many hotels and resorts. During all of our travels, no single person stands out more than Roshana at West Bay Club! Her service, thoughtfulness, knowledge of the island and genuine care are unsurpassed. She is a fountain of knowledge. Everything she did to help make our stay on the island the best it could be was done with a smile and genuine care for our experience.
