The West Bay Club

Don’t stay here , Timeshare nightmare! Our 7th trip to this beautiful island and the resort somehow ruined our 25th anniversary trip, stay was awful. I will start upon arriving, the room smelled moldy and old and the ice maker didn’t work nor did balcony door so I called down and they sent a maintenance worker to room when we wanted to rest after flight and before dinner but they couldn’t fix ice maker so just bought a bucket of ice for a 5 night stay then 3 hours of drilling to try get a door handle on balcony door, which never worked right and change of room not a option here since found out it’s timeshare property you are stuck with room they assign if you don’t like it! The bed was AWFUL we couldn’t sleep it was so lumpy and hard with old sheets , and bathroom was falling hazard you have to step up in shower and restroom very large tile steps , it was awful and I sent my diet restriction in arrival letter they said they could accommodate but nobody did upon arrival, food is same for lunch and dinner only few items to choose from and it’s all cooked under little tent area same sitting space for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have always the people the island but nobody was friendly here , my husband would say thank you to waitress no reply , no good morning , you feel like you are bothering workers if need anything, cheap chairs in restaurant with sides peeling and metal exposed to cut legs, then our first day at the beach I had reservation for a cabana I filled out before arriving with time at beach and what we wanted to drink upon arrival at beach the attendant didn’t know anything about it and we had to wait 30 minutes for them to get ready, and as we looked or walked the beach it’s the Only Resort that doesn’t take seaweed in morning the resorts on both sides of us did but not West Bay Club , we quickly found out why the rooms were cheaper than other resorts on island, get what you pay for and I had to email management since nobody at the resort cared or even said hello , Giovanni was nice when checked in and when he saw us leaving he didn’t say a word because management called me night before to apologize for our issues and them not reading notes on diet restriction, but our stay was ruined by not being able to sleep and poor quality of food . Old furniture and kitchen, another guest at beach said the photos were deceiving on website, I said I can’t believe how rude the staff is ! Stay Nextdoor at Wymara or the new Andez I’m sure there was mold because we were sick when in room could only breathe when in the heat outside so we ended our trip early because of getting sick in the room and they say they have 2 restaurants but it’s all same menu cooked under little tent , the lights went out and no generator on site ! Even though Grace bay club and point Grace own this resort also you are not allowed to use them! We have never had these issues our last 7 visits to island , I was shocked by how rude the workers were no charm here ! Didn’t think anything could make me feel sad at Grace bay but they ruined anniversary trip to where we just came home early

My family had the best week here! The views from the suite were unbelievable and the entire resort is so beautiful and well taken care of. Roshana was so kind and gave us the best recommendations and even booked some of our activities. The whole week here was perfect, we are eager to come back and stay again!

Excellent service especially from Roshana at the front desk. So helpful and friendly. She helped make our stay at the resort even more enjoyable!

The atmosphere was ok but extremely disappointed experience. the food was cold, the services was slow, and the staff seemed annoyed the entire time. However, one very curious detail caught my attention I witnessed someone cleaning the oven with a mop. I hope the department of health visit and sets things straight. personally, to blame the chef he is the one responsible for supervising how the employees operate. This is my humble opinion as an out-of-town visitor who wanted to try a restaurant outside of my hotel
