This was our 4th time at Windsong. A 7am flight out of JFK has us walking the beach at 11am. Our room this time was a queen studio and was just fine. Microwave and fridge got us through the evening. We brought some popcorn with us and added a bottle of room wine (reasonably priced) for a late snack. Once again, the staff, Jeff (Lucky), Khalil, Royalton and Larry, took great care of us with conversation, recreation suggestions and just great service. Location is ideal, with the Bight reef just off the beach, several restaurant options and the Thursday fish fry a short beach walk away. Two minor improvements: Ice was a bit hard to find without getting housekeeping involved. Lunch menu could use some more imagination.

My boyfriend and I just returned from an amazing 4 days in Providenciales. We stayed two nights in a studio queen room with a partial ocean view at the Windsong. We had to move hotels for the last night since we booked out trip very last minute. We had an amazing experience at the Windsong: Location: The Windsong is not located on Grace Bay Beach, it's actually located on the Bight. We walked up and down the beach at the Bight and the portion of the beach at the Windsong was the best out of all of the resorts. Firstly, the sand is very narrow in front of the Windsong. At first I thought that was a negative, but we quickly realized that it was awesome because it meant that everyone gets a front row ocean view, it's very close to go back for drinks, the bathroom, fresh towels etc. But best of all, it means that you're not on a giant plot of sand with rows and rows of other people, it makes for a much more private experience. To be fair, nothing in Providenciales is crowded, but I think we're more sensitive than others to the "beach farm" experience you might get in other Caribbean destinations so this was perfect for us. We re-located for our third night to Grace Bay Beach and while Grace Bay Beach is definitely the more impressive beach, I was really happy we were at the Windsong for a few days and go to experience a more intimate beach. The Hotel: The hotel is much smaller and intimate than is portrayed on their website - which for us was a huge plus. The grounds are nice (very colonial looking from the front), the bridge is a bit of an eyesore and the railings could use some securing, but otherwise everything else was well maintained. The Room: The room we had was large, the bed was comfortable, it was great to have a refrigerator for food or to chill wine (they have bottles of wine in your room which were $19 each - a steal compared to how expensive everything else in Provo was). But, you should set your expectations. We paid nearly $400 per night for our room, which in any other destination would be on the high end (even in New York). In Provo, I would say it's mid-range at best. So, if you're expecting the best of the best, this isn't it. But, it was still very nice and very comfortable. In other words - think Hyatt, not Park Hyatt and you'll go in with the right expectation. The Service: Everyone was wonderful - from check in to check out. Friendly, very helpful service. That's really what makes a hotel experience for me and this was top notch service. It felt like they got to know us even in the three short days. Snorkeling: The Windsong is right next to a section of the coral reef where you can snorkel. You can rent equipment for $5 for the day, swim right up the reef and see some amazing fish. We saw a sea turtle, eagle ray and barracuda. It was absolutely amazing. People walk over from other resorts to snorkel here, so you really have an advantage of being able to wake up and snorkel right away. Mornings are the best time as the turtles and fish haven't been scared away by other snorkelers. I didn't think I would be so into snorkeling, but given all that you can see in this small area, we did it twice and I would have probably gone again if we were there longer. It was really that awesome. Misc: Breakfast is served in a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. Continental breakfast was included and eggs were an additional $4 (another steal by Provo standards). Everything in Provo is an easy drive. We were really happy we rented a car and got some great recommendations for restaurants and places to see from the front desk.

Excellent experience in windsong Resort. The check-in was prompt and efficient, we were welcomed with a glass of Rum punch and helped into our room earlier than the official check-in time. This worked out well as we had purchased groceries in our way from the Airport that needed refrigeration. The resort room was clean and well appointed with all that is necessary and more. Continental breakfast was included on a beautiful setting overlooking grace bay beach. Your could complement your breakfast with "a la carte" items as well. The resort location is great for snorkeling right on Bight beach, you do not even need to take a boat, all you have to do is put on your snorkel gear, swim a few feet from the sand and you will be right on top of a beautiful underwater world. Be sure to bring a water camera, it is worth the investment! All in all Windsong resort is a good value for the money although you will be a bit far from the salt-mills shopping and restaurant center, you will need to take a taxi to get there.

I didn't really know what to expect, it was our first time and we booked last minute. WOW! We were very impressed with the room accommodations and the view was spectacular on the beach. It just seemed like such an easy vacation. The location on the beach is perfect. The coral reef is just a few steps away and literally out your back door. Just gear up and jump in. Take an early morning snorkel before breakfast and you'll see turtles, stingrays, spotted rays, even the barracuda that lives in the coral garden and I saw it several times. The reef is circled off so nobody can disturb the coral growth, you can follow the circle around and even hold the rope if you are a beginner. Venture a little bit to the side where you will see patches of sea grass and watch the turtles eating. Very relaxing. The beach attendant asked if we wanted to go parasailing and Voila! He called the boat and they came and pickled us up on the beach for $85 per person. Simply fabulous and convenient. Go when you want, it's your vacation. All the rooms are conveniently located to everything, easy to get to the pool and the beach. The elevators were super fast and you could take the steps if you want. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the comfortable pool lounge chairs (the terry slip covers were clean and pretty). Easy to get a chair on the beach. It just felt like even though the hotel was full it didn't feel crowded. Loved the beach activities and no charge for all the equipment. Nice added touch having the beach guys come around with cold water bottles, and small smoothie samplers, and sometimes cold towels. I also felt the continental breakfast was good quality and a good value. My favorite activity was the 8 mile of beautiful white sand. Literally 8 miles. I ran every morning with sneakers but you could go without. I loved this vacation. Also neighboring restaurants were easy to get to and very good. We even took free bikes to town for shopping. I highly recommend this vacation.

We returned for a second year in a row, and the hotel is just as phenomenal the second time around. The location is perfect, the staff is excellent, and the rooms are well-designed. Some of the smaller rooms may be short on drawer space, but this is more than made up for by the decent room size and the microwave/sink/fridge/bar. Great for children, plenty of room for a rollaway. Beach still largely boat-free and good for kids, right next to the Coral Gardens Reef. This is the location that guests from other hotels on Grace Bay walk to when they want to snorkel on the reef. The hotel provides masks and snorkels (for a small fee). Use of paddle boards, kayaks, paddleboat, boogie boards or the Hobie Cat is free. See previous review for additional details.
