I stayed here for 4 nights and wished I could have stayed longer. The staff were fantastic, the food was spectacular and the attention to detail was amazing. The planned activities during my 5 day/4 night stay were great and my interests were fully met. This was the first time in all my travels that I received a questionnaire in advance which asked me my preferences about level of physical activity, type of guide, and key interests while I was there. This information was used to customize my activities specifically to me! Can't say enough good things about the experience. Here are some examples of the "little things" that the staff did: - Staff noticed that I didn't finish 100% of each of the courses during meals. When asked, I explained that there were 4 courses each meal and it was great food but it was too much in total. So staff reduced my serving sizes in future meals. - I was the only guest at the camp for part of my stay (there are only 9 tents), so breakfast one morning was a small buffet arranged around my seat at the table, looking out upon the stunning views. - One guest indicated she liked fresh milk in her coffee in the tent in the morning (instead of the provided powdered creamer), staff arranged to drop off a thermos of warm milk at 6 am each morning for interested guests so they could have warm milk in their first coffee of the day Highly recommended.

We spent 5 nights staying here, and adored it. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, arranging trips for us, tailoring the menu for our kids, making us feel so welcome and at home. The tents are luxurious - superb showers, mozzy screens, wifi, turn-down service etc. Not really camping at all! Breakfasts and dinners were gorgeous - lots of very fresh, healthy ingredients. And one day they sent us off with a boxed lunch for a fishing trip, and it was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, and when our son lost a toy they turned the place upside down until they found it for him. They also arranged for a local artist to spend some time with the children painting Galapagos animals, which they really enjoyed. The location is very special - away from the crowds of Puerta Ayora, and really close to the tortoise reserve, so we regularly saw giant tortoises on the 2km drive up to the camp. We were woken in the morning by the herd of cows on site, otherwise it was silent and so peaceful. There's an observation deck which is great for sunsets. It was chilly at night, so they provided us with heaters, hot water bottles and blankets, and fires were lit up at the restaurant. Note that the tents are a 5 minute walk (and a lot of steps) from the restaurant area. Take a torch and good shoes.

We stayed at the Safari Camp for a couple nights when we arrived in the Galapagos. A great place for a first stop as you adjust to the unique environment of these islands. The ambience at the Safari Camp is very relaxing, the 'tents' are of the highest standard and the food was excellent. We all enjoyed the service which was both friendly and helpful without being too much. Views are stunning.

We are so impressed by our experience at Galapagos Safari Camp. We are a family of four and our two children, 10 and 12, stayed in the tent next to us (about 20 steps away). The tents are spacious, clean, beautifully set up, and have good plumbing and reliable hot water and pressure in the showers. They are beautifully equipped with an optional use mosquito net (critical for my daughter), a ceiling fan and an additional floor fan, a set of double doors (one with screens), and come with coffee/tea service, a telephone, and a big flashlight to use at night. And the beds are extremely comfortable. The food served at the main lodge is outstanding. Each meal is filled with individual thoughtfulness for the family, variety, and beautiful presentation of each dish. It is absolutely astounding that they are able to produce this quality food given how remote this island is and when you realize what it takes to get everything there. We were blown away by the gluten free assortment of muffins and rolls we were served during our time there - far better than most places in the world - very very impressive. The service literally could not be better. The staff check in with you constantly (but not annoyingly) to be sure you have what you need, including when we came back with a bit of a sunburn a proactive and complimentary offer of after-sun cream! Each day they provided snacks and water bottles and gave us tips on what to bring and wear that was invaluable. I wish we had dealt with them directly beforehand a bit more as this information would have helped us pack better. We were so appreciative of everyone there and were very sad to leave them. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot say enough about how wonderful each and every staff member is - we really felt extremely well cared for. They went out of their way to be sure we had a good experience and we will not forget them - their hospitality, their service, their food, their warm smiles and manner. Especially Katrien and Christopher. Thank you so much for such a wonderful visit. And to the chef - hat's are amazing!!
