Reviews for Iguazu Grand Resort Spa & Casino

Great hotel and staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Great hotel just half an hour from the falls. Fabio on concierge was excellent. He answered all our questions and arranged quality transports for us at reasonable prices. He is a real asset to the company. Breakfast was nice. Dinner each night was good. Our waiter Marcelo was very friendly and helpful / knowledgeable David on reception was very friendly. I would stay here again

Pleasant hotel, nice food, friendly staff

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting the falls. Fabio (concierge) arranged airport and falls visit taxi services for us in advance of our arrival, which worked seamlessly. He was very responsive to messages and helped with any questions we had. David on reception was particularly helpful on check in and during our visit. Marcelo is an asset to the restaurant staff, his English was excellent, he told us about the local foods and wines and liked to chat. Rooms were large and clean.

Qualitty, Value, and Service were Excellent!

My wife and I stayed here two nights to have one full day to explore the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls. The level of service was superb, we thought, and David at the front desk especially impressed us with his attitude and smile. The hotel was not busy, so we were upgraded to an “executive suite” at the end of the hall on their fourth floor (the top floor). It was very quiet and spacious. While furnishings seemed dated, and carpet had a few stains, it was comfortable. Clearly, this hotel probably is due for room updating, though. The attached small casino can provide diversion for those so-inclined. And the well-landscaped pool area was beautiful, though we didn’t use it. Breakfast buffet was included. Just don’t expect the widest food selections here. But for the price we paid, and considering the room we had and service we received, I give this hotel a 5/5 rating!

Beautiful resort in Iguazu

Beautiful resort. Room was super nice and very large. Pool and spa were both great amenities with good friendly staff. Restaurant could have been better. Breakfast was a basic buffet. Omelet station only on first morning then only pre-made. Overall we had a really good experience.

Could have been much better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed at Iguazú Grand and, while the property has potential, our experience fell short in several areas. The hotel felt far from full — even the staff mentioned it was less than half occupied — yet there was surprisingly little flexibility with late check-out. For a five-star hotel, that was disappointing. On two evenings we tried the hotel restaurant, and both times it was barely 10% occupied. The atmosphere was therefore quite dull and lacked any sense of warmth or liveliness you would expect in a resort of this category. Another major issue was a very loud group of young football players, around 10 years old, who took over shared spaces and made it difficult to relax. It raises the question: why isn’t there a separate area or designated space for large youth groups? Their presence had a noticeable impact on the overall guest experience. Additionally, it was unclear why the hotel charges three different prices for water, which felt inconsistent and unnecessary for a property of this level. Overall, the facilities are fine, but the lack of ambiance, inflexibility, price inconsistencies, and poor management of group noise made our stay less enjoyable than expected.

Thanks to Luxury Link we found this exquisite property for our stay at Iguazu Falls. On arrival we found that it was a Leading Hotel of the World - a group that prides itself on outstanding and elegant properties. The hotel and amenities are wonderful as are the gardens. The front desk staff were most helpful and kind. Anyone going to Iguazu Falls would be well served and pleased with the Grand Hotel.
