A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

Wonderful place to visit. Great tours included for 3n 2days. Bring protection for mosquitoes. The only entrance to hotel is by boat. Cabanas are beautiful. Electricity is limited for few hours and no WiFi, just for emergencies. Food is very good.

Unique Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Mother Nature is in charge here!! Don't forget it! It's a awesome place and wonderful -- but always remember -- if it's hot, it's HOT. Humidity, sticky, no escaping it. No AC or way to escape. Then it really rained and it was more bearable. The activities are really cool - but if you aren't a bit nimble and in ok shape, it will be hard. Noticed some people struggling. Stairs, uneven surfaces, climbing in/out of boats, etc. Loved the variety of experiences. Our guide RICO was wonderful. Very good food. Really glad we went, and very glad it cooled off.

Nature galore!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Beautiful grounds, awesome little cabins. Nature abound. We saw two different kinds of monkeys while sitting on the property. Birds everywhere. The excursions were amazing! The reason for a four instead of a five rating, to be environmentally friendly, they shut their generator down between 330 and 5 o’clock in the afternoon. It is too hot to have no circulation at all. We are from South Florida and we were uncomfortable when the power was off. We met folks from Canada and England, who thought they were going to melt.

Underwheling from a wildlife perspective

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Disappointing from a wildlife viewing perspective. One of the most unique places to see macaws in the wild but sadly the hotel would not not offer the tour to us even if we paid the additional fee. Huge missed opportunity to showcase some of the most unique wildlife Tambopata has to offer, Overall in 3 days saw only a few birds and monkeys but frankly underwhelming. Tour guides and staff we good and very helpful but limited by what the hotel management allows them to offer. Food is average and same menu every day. Rooms are clean and spacious but if you are interested in seeing wildlife choose somewhere else

A unique experience in relative luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have just spent 3 nights T the inkaterra amazonica and very much enjoyed this very unique experience. It’s is difficult to review this as a hotel as it is really unique immersive trip into the Amazon rainforest. Those choosing this type of holiday, need to understand that the intention is to experience this amazing natural wonder in relative luxury but do not expect normal hotel facilities. There is limited electricity, the Wi-Fi is almost non-existent, no air con, no hairdryer, no windows so expect to be woken by the birds and wild noises early in the day, you require a guide to walk beyond the grounds of the hotel - there are wild animals in the jungle😜. When I say relative luxury, I mean the cabanas have comfy beds with a good net to keep crawler creatures out, running hot ( when the electricity is on!) and cold water, flush toilet, a shower, good towels and robes and flip flops ( crawley protection), toiletries including repellent. The food is generous and well prepared. Service is excellent and super friendly. The organised trips are generally excellent and these are included in the price. They offer additional trips but more on that later. You will see from other reviews that animal spotting success varies. For us, we saw cayman, squirrel and how’re monkeys, river otter, tarantulas, capybar, eagles, humming birds, macaw, millions of butterflies, and other birds that I cannot remember the names of! The only negatives during our trip were the optional fishing trip and the return journey to the airport. The fishing trip was billed as a fun day out with multiple places to fish from, great lunch and lots of cooled drinks. We spent a long time in the boat 2.5 hours there and 3 back. We fished in 1 area and caught small piranha. Lunch was poor. Drinks were very limited but there was plenty of water. Our trip back to the airport was not up to par. The guide did not have good English, spent the time in the boat on her phone, did not explain the check-in process. Not a major problem but the departure should be as good as the arrival. One other small point. There are limited toilet facilities in the public areas. 1 male and 1 female loo. I had occasion to use the female facility after we had checked out of our cabana and thought there was a strong smell that should be addressed.
