Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

In the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains, Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa is nestled against the deep blue Pacific waters of Los Arcos Marine Park, some of the best snorkeling grounds in Mexico. Garza Blanca is thoughtfully built into its natural surroundings – its pair of rock-anchored infinity pools are spectacular – and a calendar of guided expeditions offer easy opportunities to wander afield. If the sun’s rays get too intense, replenish with a facial using Natura Bissé products, a Barcelona cult favorite.

Harness the healing properties of Kundalini yoga in a meditative class by a lagoon. Grab a kayak and paddle through the craggy rock formations of Los Arcos. Swim among tropical fish. Revive onshore with a glass of fresh-squeezed passion fruit juice (or one blended with a vintage Avión Silver tequila). Dine on blackened blue fin tuna in adobo negro with apple compote and piquillo pepper sauce.

I took my adult children to Garza Blanca for a vacation and to spend some quality time with them. We were so impressed the first moment we walked into the lobby. The location is amazing and the views are breathtaking! We stayed in a two bedroom panoramic suite and we could not have been more pleased. It was spacious and the views from the deck and hot tub were spectacular. The staff here is top notch. The valet who took us to our room was Philippe and we feel in love with him! He made us feel so welcome and even went out of his way to bring us an HDMI cable- The staff at the pool bar near Tower 5 were the best!!! Kudos to Miguel, Angel, Gerardo and Pedro for being THE BEST!!! We ordered room service daily and the room service staff were amazing. I booked this hotel based upon reviews on Expedia but I booked with the hotel directly. Every aspect of my experience from booking to check out was exceptional. We will be back!!!

Such a great spot we bought time here. Staff go above and beyond, food is great at all restaurants, rooms are great and spacious. Can't say a bad thing about the place. If you drink a bit the all inclusive option is worth it

This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta and to Garza Blanca so I would like to share some tips for you!!! *Distance from the airport to the hotel is about 40 min. you can buy a taxi ticket inside of the airport for around 400 pesos ($21) we were 2 adults 1 child or walk across the pedestrian bridge and get a taxi for a cheaper fare (don't know how much).(none of our taxi drivers were friendly at all, and didn't like when we asked questions) *Check in/check out at the hotel was fast and our room was ready earlier than check in time. A concierge gives you all your room information, they help you with any questions, to book activities and she'll invite you to a "90min" presentation, but this is not mandatory. Our concierge was Lorena and she was great!! * You have the option to do all inclusive for $115 a day per person, just breakfast for $35 pp or just order from the menu (we only ordered room service) portions are a little bit small. Honestly everything we ordered WAS NOT that great, yummi or enough lol *Property is pretty, rooms are clean, big and nice and the ladies that do housekeeping try to help you with everything that you need (ours was Zoe, Gaby and Lety and they were great!!!) the rooms have a mini fridge with sodas and beer, there is daily coffee for you to make. The PILLOWS are horrible, so take your own or ask if you can get something better *NOW if you are a LIGHT SLEEPER like me let me warned you that you can hear all the noise from the cars and 18 wheeler trucks that drive in front of the property day/night even when you close the doors you can still hear them unless the tv is on :(. *if you are looking for an amazing beach this hotel is not for you, but it has an small beach for you to swim. *if you want to go downtown (20 min distance) you can either grab a taxi for 120 pesos one way ($7) or take the white and orange bus for 8 pesos one way per person. Bus was super super safe and picks/drops you off in front of the hotel. (locals and tourist use it. we did) *The hotel has a boutique where you can buy: sodas, chips, cookies, medicine, juices, milk, clothes, etc. *MONEY EXCHANGE if you want the best deal go to Elecktra but don't forget your passport cause otherwise you won't be able to get money. I asked for the rate at the airport and it was 16.47pesos for $ 1, at the hotel was 15.45 pesos for $ 1 and at Electra was 18 pesos for $1. This hotel is pretty, but if you want to be in the middle of everything, just walk to the stores and try different restaurants at any time of the day this hotel is not the one for you, but if you plan to stay and eat at the hotel most of the time you should considered it. Hope you find this information helpful!!

We stayed at Garza Blanca for a week in May, 2017. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this resort and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a spectacular vacation. The staff at Garza Blanca go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. Check in was quick and easy. Our flights landed us in Puerto Vallarta at 10am and the staff made sure we were comfortable and even got us in our room a half an hour early. The only negative was when we declined to do the "tour" (a timeshare pitch, but they really didn't like that word) our "personal concierge" became rude and less than helpful...but we didn't need her to make our stay great. The rest of the staff was awesome. Our room was exceptional. The views were spectacular from the 8th floor of the 5th building. We did not find the location of the building a negative and we used the trolly to get around the resort without any difficulty. (building 4 and 5 are across the road and up the hills from the main lobby/beach) The longest we waited for a trolly was about 10 minutes and that was rare. The entire resort was spotlessly clean and the room was no different. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was large. We did the all inclusive and felt it was very worth the money. The restaurants were impeccable. We visited each restaurant at least once and had a hard time choosing a favorite. The service, staff and food were great. The only negative was the breakfast buffet at Blanca Blue. The food was cold and not up to the standards set by the other meals. We enjoyed room service breakfast or breakfast at the steakhouse more. We had lunch at the pool most days and that was also excellent. The beach is small, but there is plenty of room and the breakwaters keep the water calm enough for swimming or snorkeling. They kept the beach very clean and raked the sand each night. We enjoyed the pools (both the one by the lobby and the upper pool near building 5) and never had trouble finding lounge chairs and an umbrella. Most of the time we had plenty of towels to go around, but a couple times they ran out (which seemed odd since the resort was not full) The service by the lower pool was excellent, the upper pool service was not nearly as good, and we had trouble getting a drink or food. The resort itself is an easy taxi ride from the city. They also have bus access (we did not use this). Overall, it is an amazing resort and I would highly recommend it. There isn't a lot of activities going on during the day and no night entertainment, but we ate late dinners and didn't feel like we needed anything else. We would return to this resort in a heartbeat!

The best vacation I have ever had! The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful,etc... I love the room decor just amazing, the view was breath taking and super clean. Room service was fast, the food in the restaurants was divine. The service pool side was A+, and the beach was super clean. They have so many different crafts for the kids. I cant wait to go back again and again. I would rate this resort a 11 out of 10 .
