Location - The good, bad and beautiful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Let me start by talking about the service bellman. Salvador and Luis were helpful, friendly and always there when we needed anything. When I had an issue, they jumped in to get me clarification and navigate through the issue. Thanks Salvador and Luis! We went for my husband's birthday. I was disappointed with not getting the room that I requested several weeks prior to our arrival and that there was nothing done for him by the resort. This is something that I would have expected from a high end resort and something we always get with high end resorts. The resort views were breathtaking! The location was good and bad. Great for the view but we needed to get a uber and/or taxi to go anywhere because the roads were very steep and narrow. Resort money exchange was not good either, so the taxi's were also using that exchange rate. The room was large and clean. Beds was comfortable but the pillow need to be replaced. We had the hot tub on the balcony, which was nice, however it took over 20 minutes to fill it up. So we didn't use it like we would have wanted. The tacos, guacamole, chips and salsa was very good. We only got a couple drink, they were okay. We did not use the spa or gym (both looked very small).

Grand Miramar, Couples Paradise

My partner and I stayed here for her birthday trip and it was wonderful. We got to the site and its quite honestly beautiful. We were welcomed by the bell men, and taken into an air conditioned room where we were kindly met by Kenia. We had such an amazing time at the actual hotel. Whether it was eating tacos by the pool, or just lounging in our spacious room, it was excellent. The morning breakfast I loved, did it 3 days straight lol. All in all this place was well valued and a nice and cozy place to come home to after a night out in zona romantica, or from a long day at a tour. A special shoutout to the concierge Antonio for the hospitality, Alberto, Luis, Salvador, and Mario. All gave us a great memory, and we will be back again, Gracias a todos!

3 stars for the Grand Miramar...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I was in PV for the past 46 days and spent my last two nights at the Grand Miramar. The price point along with the reviews drew me in. Once there I realized how isolated the resort is. I instantly had to take a taxi into town to pick up some drinks and snacks. Yes, it has wonderful views of PV. The bedding I found to be so - so. No down pillows, what I had at all the other places I stayed at. Once they get you in - prepare for paying for $18 US martinis. Those prices extended to all the other goods and services as well. I thought the staff was excellent. There was no room guide to tell you the restaurant hours or offerings - or how to work the tv remote. AND, not that big of a thing - but in the 46 days in PV I saw my first cockroach scamper across my floor - that I dispatched.

Excellent Service

This was a beautiful place with excellent service. The concierge staff, especially, was so generous with his time and seemed to genuinely show care for ensuring our experience was positive. He even met us at the dock in town when we were set up to meet a charter boat, to make sure we navigated the crowds on the busy pier and found our proper captain. The rooftop terrace had incredible live Mexican music for sunset, which was truly special. My only complaint was that Booking.com steered us to a 3-bedroom suite which was much more than I wanted to pay. A regular room would have sufficed, but that was my fault for not digging around and clicking a few more spots to find "other options" than just a suite. The service was our favorite as everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely happy. It's not on the beach, but a trip to Los Meurtos got us our fill. Proximity to the romantic zone was great (5 minute, $6 cabs each way). We went into town each day and returned for sunset on the terrace each night. Lovely spot in a gorgeous, safe, clean neighborhood.

Breathtaking views and total relaxation

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 night stay here. The service is top notch and the views are unmatched. Salvador, Ulieses, Raul, Jorge, and everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to take excellent care of us. Only complaint is there was only one restaurant open after 5p so we did room service twice but the food was super good!!
