We arrived yesterday and booked an ocean front room with two queen beds for two adults and two kids (2402 B). Check in was horrible. There were three families ahead of us and they stayed there for almost an hour. They asked one million questions and check in staff were showing them a video of other rooms if they want an upgrade. There is no AC in the lobby so it was very unpleasant waiting to check in. They pretended that they did not see us waiting for the check in after a long flight. Finally we got our bedroom with only two chairs on the balcony although I asked for four chairs. Right behind our building is HWY with very loud traffic! The beach was my biggest disappointment. All day long trucks and cranes are moving the rocks making a horrible noise. There is an area just for the residents and we couldn’t use these lounge chairs but very close to that area one Mexican family had fun listening to their boom box and they brought their own umbrella (see a photo). My son stays with his family at tower 4 in very nice two bedroom apartment with gorgeous view. This morning they were awaken at 8 AM by the construction workers and machinery. Positive: food is excellent and the waiters are nice and friendly but we did not come to Mexico just for food.

We stayed at Hotel Mousai which is part of Garza Blanca. Our favorite breakfast spot was at Blanca Blue. They had a large selection of authentic mexican food. The customer service was top notch. I want to give a special shout out to Mario, Ronaldo, and Jorge and the host Emily for the quality of service. They were quick go seat us. They always brought a purse holder before I even had the chance to sit. They were quick to refill our drinks. And they surprised us with a special dessert on our last day. We look forwaed to returning. The staff on the north tower at Hotel Mousai was exceptional. I recommend 100%. They are hard working, and dedicated and deserved every penny!

Be aware of the Garza Blanca time share danger! They will trick you and snatch you right at the airport in Puerto Vallarta. As you head towards the exit with your luggage, someone will guide you towards a counter with a few representatives waiting to catch victims. If it’s your first time navigating through this airport, you will not be suspecting anything and you will think that it is a required stop that has to do with your pre-arranged transfer to your hotel. My daughter and I were greeted by a woman by the name of Nary. She told us that she could offer us a very good price for a full day trip. All we needed to do was to attend a presentation at Garza Blanca the next morning, which included breakfast, and she would pick us up. When I asked if that was about a time share, she said that absolutely not. It was going to be for us to be able to see the beautiful resort and maybe consider spending a vacation there in the future. She charged us $ 100 for two tickets which I paid with a credit card. Nary then asked us to not disclose this trip to anyone at our hotel. I had already started to become very suspicious so, as soon as we arrived at our resort, I spoke with the front desk employee about this experience. They confirmed that it was going to be a time share presentation. I sent a message to Nary that I was aware of the scam and that we would not be going. I asked for my money back. Needless to say, she blocked me. This experience put me off ever considering staying at this resort. Unless you are already knowledgeable about these types of tricks, do not stop to speak with anyone on your way out of the airport, yes, not even “hola” and look straight for your transfer outside.
