Had great hikes with Jose and Salvador. Jasmine and Tito were outstanding with paddle boarding and kayaking. Tony was amazing waiter at the beach. Food at all the restaurants was fantastic. We particularly loved eating at DAO.

We had visited GB many times before but never in December. Perfect time to visit with ideal temperatures and only one half day of light rain. Although now well over 12 years old the resort remains fresh and modern looking. The changes they have made to the beach area are looking good with additional breakwaters built. There is now more sand at the southern end of the beach and easier access. Staff continue to be exceptional - either Jorge at the reception baggage check to all of the amazing Butler team of Jose, Filipe, Nuno etc.

We are LUX members at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa with 28,000 points. We pay USD $15,000 every year in maintenance fees, which sets very high expectations for service, flexibility, and transparency. Unfortunately, the reality does not match what is sold. When trying to make a December reservation, we were informed that we must pay the following year’s maintenance fee in advance, yet we still do not receive the dates or unit level we request. Most recently, we were told that to secure access for 2027, we would need to pay USD $30,000 in advance—which raises serious questions about logic, fairness, and value. Even when requesting high-level mountain units, availability is consistently denied, despite our LUX status and point level. The “luxury” positioning feels more like premium pricing with standard access. The most frustrating part is the lack of accountability. We have not been able to find a single person who can truly resolve issues or take ownership. Staff are polite, but the response is always the same: “There’s nothing we can do.” For a resort that markets exclusivity and personalized service, this is a major operational gap. Garza Blanca is a beautiful property, but a luxury brand is defined by how it treats its most committed clients, not just by its views. At this level of financial commitment, members deserve clarity, consistency, and real benefits—not more upfront payments with fewer guarantees. At the moment, the value proposition does not align with the cost.

We dined at Bocado’s Steakhouse for our 15 year anniversary dinner and let me just say this has by far been the best dining experience we have ever had! Not only was the food a 10 out of 10, but the service was nothing like we have ever experienced. Our waiter, Ricardo, was amazing. He helped us with wine selection, and food suggestions that were on point. We started our dinner with Smoked Old Fashions and crab cake and shrimp cocktail appetizers followed by the Beet Salad and the Iceberg Salad which were amazing. Our entree was a 10 oz Tenderloin Filet cooked to perfection and Ricardo suggested to accompany it with their Chimichuri sauce which was SO GOOD! They followed with our anniversary dessert which was a delicious Chocolate Lava Cake and the highlight of the night—a table side Mexican Coffee which was a show in itself! We were blown away by the wonderful food and impeccable service and can’t wait to return!

This is our second time coming to this resort but this time we brought our family to experience the same excellent customer service, food quality, variety of drinks, friendly staff, and unparalleled hospitality. Kudos to all the staff who made our stay a memorable one. Particularly to Jose, Humberto, Roberto, and our housekeeping lady, Cynthia, who kept our room clean, organized and well stocked.
