Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa

We have been coming to Garza Blanca for our annual family vacation since 2015, and it continues to be an absolutely incredible experience. The resort never misses. The staff is 10 out of 10, the food is 10 out of 10, and the location is 10 out of 10. Our butler Jose and his team were outstanding as always, and Elaine, who manages the steakhouse and Blanca Blue, continues to set the bar for exceptional service. This place truly feels like home for us. I could not recommend Garza Blanca more.

As others have noted, this resort has gone down across the board over the last few years. When I first started coming here it was rated in the top 15 resorts in the area and now it is at 32. They just keep building more and more towers for more and more guests and cannot accommodate them at the pool or the beach. On top of that, the resort in one area or the other has been under construction constantly and this season is the worst it's ever been. There's construction all day at the beach by the penthouses and then all evening on the other side of the resort next to Tower 3. Personal concierge service is completely gone instead a WhatsApp app. Only available from 9:00 to 5:00 and may or may not respond. This resort at minimum is $11,000 for the week. I've spent up to $30,000 for the week on various accommodations. For that, you should not have to beg for a simple necessities in the room and should automatically be given credits and accommodations considering the horrible state of construction in noise. It is like living in a war zone!

WORST resort I have stayed at in my life and we come to Mexico every year. This was actually my 4th time at Garza and the quality of service has just decreased. We checked in and were sent off to find our room in the dark. No orientation. Then we were switching rooms last two nights and they demanded for us to leave the room at 11am and wait till 4pm for the other room. No one told me this during booking or check in. All my stuff was in the room and my baby napping. Karen at the front desk demanded I wake my baby up and evacuate the room. The manager Adriana tells me you can check out now if you want. Basically kicking guests out of the hotel. Jasmin at the pool side moves our stuff from the chair and puts it on the ground. I mean it was one thing after another. They move us right by the elevator facing tress on the first floor. They discriminated against us and for paying $1000 US a night this the treatment they give guests. This should not be a 5 star resort. They need to fire the management and their front desk workers. The staff at the restaurants. Pool. Housekeeping were all amazing. So sad that I was going to be become a member and now I count my blessings that I am not. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Also you only have 2 restaurants to pick from for breakfast and dinner. Will never stay here !

It’s always an amazing experience here! We’ve been coming for years with our kids (currently 6 and 9). We love the staff here, Jhanto, Ricardo, Martin, Edson, and more! It’s amazing seeing the same crew here year after year. Thank you for the incredible memories ✨❤️
