Lovely honeymoon destination

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

Very clean and thoughtful. Everyone that worked here was amazing. Paul was particularly thoughtful in communicating with us and making us feel comfortable. What we really liked about this place was how doing the all inclusive was optional. This allowed us to stay longer and eat at local restaurants.

Relaxing, peaceful getaway

We had a fantastic experience at villa premire. It is in a great location, right by the malecon boardwalk with access to lots of great restaurants and shops. The staff were all so kind and accommodating - Paul was hilarious and went out of his way to make all guests feel welcome. We would definitely come back!

Had a great holiday.

The staff was very friendly and helpful . Paul made being at the pool very comfortable and constantly moving umbrella when needed. Always checking if we needed anything. George always checked if we needed something from the bar. Both full of personality. The area was a great location and easy access to restaurants as we did not get all inclusive so we could experience other restaurants. I did however wonder if the water was not drinkable perhaps it should have been included like the coffee? The cleaners kept the rooms clean and on a timely matter . The rooms do need a bit of an update especially the bathroom area otherwise was comfortable.Slept well.

Exceeded my expectations and a solid all-inclusive boutique hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

A bit about us. We are a gay couple in our mid-thirties with usually very high expectations and big foodies. All in all, we loved our time at this resort. Do know that luxury in PV is different than luxury in Cabo. Hotels are much older and more relaxed. We found so many things to fall in love with this property, restaurants, and service. I loved every breakfast we had and every dinner we had at the two restaurants. Paul, the pool host, was a hoot and needs to cap his jokes to once per day haha. You have to try the tuna tacos, cauliflower appetizer, chilaquiles, churros, and the roasted pork shoulder. Honestly, if you’re looking for an intimate resort that has all the things you need, this is a fantastic place for you. Do know that the rooms are more of a 4-star and you can find things that will annoy you like the pool has tiles falling off but on the flip side, furniture everywhere is comfy, new, and peaceful. You’ll find that there is almost a 1:1 ratio of staff to guests, so the price we paid was extremely worth it and it’s a well run independent hotel.

A Five-Star Label Without Five-Star Standards

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Overall: 1.5/5 This property markets itself as a five-star hotel, but based on my stay, it does not meet that standard in any meaningful category. Across accommodations, service, amenities, and overall experience, it performed well below what I would expect even from a strong four-star property. I would not return, and in hindsight, nearly any nearby three- or four-star resort appears to offer significantly better value for the price. Rooms: 1/5 The suites felt dated and in need of refurbishment. While “premium” suites were marginally improved, not all offer ocean views, which was not clearly communicated and felt misleading given the pricing. Climate control was a persistent issue: the thermostat was restricted to a minimum of 69°F, and despite that, the room never cooled below approximately 72°F during our stay. The bathroom experience was also disappointing. Shower water never reached a truly hot temperature—only mildly warm—and water pressure was very weak. Towels were thin, coarse, and noticeably low quality. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the property raised concerns; during my stay, I personally observed multiple cockroaches in common areas, which significantly impacted my comfort and perception of hygiene standards. Food & Drink: 3.5/5 Food quality was decent but did not align with five-star expectations. Bartenders were efficient, and waitstaff were courteous and clearly doing their best despite repeated kitchen errors that occurred during our stay. Dining options for breakfast and lunch were limited to a single venue, which became repetitive over multiple days. Service: 2/5 Staff members were generally polite, but the service experience felt understaffed and lacked refinement. Pool service was limited, room servicing was standard at best, and concierge assistance was responsive for basic requests but did not offer meaningful guidance, recommendations, or proactive support. Overall, service did not feel personalized or elevated in a way consistent with luxury hospitality. Amenities: 2/5 The resort appears ill-equipped to handle peak occupancy. There were insufficient loungers at both the pool and beach, and no clear system to manage unused chairs. On days when events were held on property, loungers began being removed as early as 11am, leaving paying guests without seating. The gym was small and minimally equipped. I chose not to use the spa based on the overall quality concerns experienced elsewhere on the property.

Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa in Puerto Vallarta was all that it was represented and more. From the moment we arrived we were treated like special guests. We spent six glorious nights in a suite, enjoying full breakfasts and spa services. From the staff of the restaurants to the hotel supervisor and chief concierge, we had only to request something once and our every wish was granted.
