Dream at Dreams Royal Beach
Dreams Royal Beach was a dream come true for us. As beautiful as the hotel was, the pools and beach were, the people working there doing their day to day jobs were so pleasant and kind. They all made our stay amazing! All that being said...Marcelo, our personal concierge, was AMAZING!!

Very Disappointing Check-In- (Denied access to room) Experience at Dreams Royal Beach
Very Disappointing and Frustrating Experience Unfortunately, our experience at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana fell far below what we expected. Our reservation was prepaid through Unlimited Vacation Club; my husband was listed on the reservation, and we had contacted Unlimited Vacation Club before his arrival to confirm that he could check in before me. We were told that this would not be a problem. When he arrived at the resort, however, he was denied check-in. The situation became even more frustrating because the requirements kept changing. He was first told that I had to be present, then that a credit card could be held until I arrived, then that the card had to be his, and finally that approximately $300 cash would be required. Because of the inconsistent information and treatment, he ultimately left the property without access to the prepaid accommodations. The experience was stressful and disappointing, particularly because we took the time to confirm the check-in process in advance. We expected a much higher standard of communication and professionalism from Dreams Royal Beach, the Hyatt brand, and Unlimited Vacation Club. I sent a detailed email to the general manager of Dreams Royal, Karina Santana Guerrero, and Unlimited Vacation Club, requesting a review of the incident, and I have yet to receive any updates or even an acknowledgment.

Great family trip!
Really nice place, decent to good food, fun and nice staff! Our family had a great time! The grounds and pool were really nice and the room were nice!

We had a great experience overall and didn't want to to leave. The preferred club area and rooms are excellent. We traveled with our two kids, 3 and 5 yrs old and felt like there were lots of family friendly areas & food.

Carnival Cruise on Land
This place is like being on a carnival cruise on land. It’s not quite clean and crowded even though they said it was not at a very high capacity. It’s just not a great environment. Everything is old and dated and the “preferred” resort is nothing but far away from everything you might want to do. Ick.
