Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana

We absolutely had a great time here even though we were nervous after reading all the bad reviews. We had the opposite experience and would love to come back! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful which made our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable!

THE WORST RESORT EVER. Came here for a wedding. We checked in, asked what we were here for, said wedding. Had no clue about said wedding. Room wasn’t ready so we went to the pool. There’s no signs anywhere to find anything. Had to walk around aimlessly to find the pool to meet our party. Buffet food was AWFUL for lunch. God awful. We make the best of the day and go back to room to sleep. Woke up to use my restroom in my room for the first time since having our room and I opened the lid and there was someone else’s urine sitting in it. Then looked underneath closet and there were deflated balloons. They clearly didn’t even clean the room thoroughly. Fast forward two days. Go to have lunch at the burger bar/pizza joint. There were 4 of us to a table. Two of us ordered pizza and two ordered a burger. Two people got the pizza (raw by the way) and waiting 35+ minutes and no burgers. Save your damn money and go elsewhere. Please! We’re unfortunately here for another day and thankfully we leave to go home. And only reason why we booked here was because we had a wedding to go to at this resort. Please save yourselves the trouble! Spend the extra money and go somewhere else!

I visited with a group of 20+ and it was a great experience for all. We had older couples (aka grandparents), a younger couple with no kids, and a few families with kids ages 7 - 20. All of us had a great time! Surprisingly, the restaurants were able to accommodate larger groups (not all of us at once, but we had up to 16 at one point) and did a great job getting orders out quickly. The food was also fantastic! TRY NEW THING! Don't stick to the same foods you eat at home and you won't be disappointed. The main pool with the entertainment was our favorite gathering spot. Lots of great activities during the day from live music to water aerobics and games. Unfortunately we experienced sargassum while we were there (which is NO FAULT of the resorts) so we did not enjoy the beach, but the resort made up for it. The water slides were a huge hit too!!

Honestly, we will definitely not back. The facility was nice and clean. But the staff was so unbelievably unfriendly. Even with us tipping, they seemed irritated by the fact that they had to do their job. Especially the bartenders. The food was horrible. I honestly didn’t find a single thing liked other than the cream pizza. We upgraded to the preferred and spent $1000 at check-in. I honestly wish we didn’t because there was no perk to even upgrading. The preferred club breakfast café was worse than the regular café. The coffee spot was the same, which was horribleby the way. You’re just really wasn’t anything to make it worth it. We didn’t get treated any differently than others staying in the regular of the hotel. It was just more of a pain in the butt because we had a shuttle or walk back-and-forth to get to the regular part, is where all of our friends were staying. Oh, all out of six all inclusive experiences that we have been lucky enough to go on, this was by far the worst.

Amenities, pools, water slides, entertainment, and services were great. The food at the Specialty restaurants and Seaside Grill were good. Buffet was so so. Beach and pool had an abundant of seating available. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend.
