Would recommend for sure!

Dreams Resorts and Spa was a great choice for this family vacation. Our travel agent recommended this location and I am happy that she did. We stayed in the Preferred Club section of the resort. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. We were checked in immediately, even though we were there a few hours before the actual check in time frame. Marcelo was our appointed concierge. He checked in with us everyday to see how we were doing and sent us the daily offered activities. (the resort uses an app) He made special dining arrangements for us and answered the many questions that I asked quickly. If I needed something, I simply sent him a message on the app and he took care of it. We booked connecting rooms for our family (They charge an additional fee per night for this request) and our rooms were on the first floor with direct access to one of the many pools at the resort. If you are planning on booking at this resort here are some things to keep in mind: 1. The resort is rather large so they offer a shuttle service (large golf carts of sorts) to transport you from place to place. The Preferred Club has a separate section of room away from the main section of the resort. 2. If you are staying with children, you may want to consider staying in the main section of the resort, that is central to the beach, restaurants, the family pool and the water slides. The Preferred club section is rather far from all of the activities and restaurants. 3. Secrets resort is right next door to Dreams and the Secrets hotel guests have access to 100 percent of the Dreams facility. 4. The beach has a lot of seaweed at the water's edge, so keep that in mind. You do not walk directly into clear water, you have to get past the murky see weed several yards out before you can get to clear water. 5. Bring your own cup/tumbler with a lid to carry around with you. 6. We brought floats with us for the family and that worked out great. Our one daughter did wind up buying one at the resort store ($45) wich cost a pretty penny. 7. The only soda offered on the resort is Coke/Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta(orange). Overall I would recommend this resort for cleanliness, ease and friendliness of service, quality of food and the number of activities that it offers for both adults and families. Definitely go for the direct pool access if you can, that was one of our favorite parts of thi trip

What a week!

Our stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and maintained to the highest standards. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the attention to detail throughout the entire property was impressive. What truly made this vacation special was the outstanding staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. A special thank you to Marcelo, our butler, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during our stay. His attentiveness, kindness, and exceptional service made a huge difference and added a personal touch to our vacation. We would also like to recognize Victoria, our wedding coordinator, who did an amazing job organizing every detail of our special day. Her professionalism, organization, and care helped make our wedding absolutely perfect and stress-free. Anna from the photography team was wonderful to work with. She captured beautiful memories that we will cherish forever and made the entire experience enjoyable and comfortable. A big thank you as well to Luis at the beach bar for his outstanding service, friendly personality, and for always making us feel welcome. He truly helped make our beach days even more enjoyable. The restaurants were fantastic, offering excellent food, great service, and beautiful presentation. Every dining experience reflected the resort's commitment to quality and attention to detail. We would also like to thank all of the staff throughout the resort who worked so hard to make our stay exceptional. From housekeeping and restaurant staff to bartenders, servers, and entertainment teams, everyone contributed to an unforgettable experience. Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend this resort and cannot wait to return!

Disappointing

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing Experience – Beware of the Sales Tactics What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into one of the most frustrating resort experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the front desk was not welcoming at all. Instead of helping us check in, we were immediately passed off to an employee in a blue uniform named Alejandra, who directed us to the buffet and told us our room was not ready. She instructed us to come back in 30 minutes and specifically look for her. We later realized that the delay appeared to be less about our room being unavailable and more about getting us into a sales presentation. When we met with her again, she sat us down and began pitching a Secrets membership. As a result, we didn't get properly settled into our room until around 4 PM, despite check-in being at 3 PM. The next day, we were told we would be taking a quick one-hour tour of the resort. Instead, it turned into more than two hours of high-pressure sales presentations. Vacation time is valuable, and we felt misled from the start. Things got even worse with Destination Services. Gray convinced us to pay $50, saying it would provide discounts on excursions. Later, we were told conflicting information about a voucher and were blamed for not returning it, even though we had been told it could be used in the resort shops. During checkout, Gray and another employee named Lowsy were rude, confrontational, and unprofessional. The constant sales pressure, misleading information, and poor customer service completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable vacation. We traveled all the way from Canada and even brought gifts for management, expecting the hospitality that Secrets is known for. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we received. The resort itself may be beautiful, but guests should be aware of the aggressive sales tactics and the amount of vacation time that can be wasted if you're not careful. We will not be returning, and based on our experience, we cannot recommend this resort to others.

Amazing Resort

AMAZING RESORT! Went on a family vacation and cannot say enough great things about this resort. The beach is cleaned multiple times a day so the sargassum is really not an issue. The construction was not an issue at all, so staying away from this resort because of that is silly. Food was great, mostly at Fusion which was always great. Pedro Martinez at Interlude Bar was the best bartender, very attentive and knew how to make drinks very well! We can't wait to return!!

Beautiful vacation spot

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and fully stocked throughout our stay. The resort itself was beautiful, picturesque, and well-maintained. The staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our concierge, Emmanuel, was especially helpful and communicated with us regularly throughout our visit. One challenge was the restaurant reservation system. Traveling with a group of nine, including several young children, it was stressful not being able to make reservations in advance. Despite arriving for dinner around 6:00 p.m., we often waited over an hour for a table. As a result, the children frequently ended up eating snacks from the coffee shop rather than having a full dinner. The food at the restaurants we visited, particularly Seaside Grill, was excellent—delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. However, the buffet experience was disappointing on both the Preferred and Dreams sides of the resort. Much of the food was dry, stale, or cold, especially at breakfast. We never had warm eggs, and the waffles and pancakes were often too hard for the children to enjoy. We found that the best buffet options were the made-to-order stations, and we eventually relied on the omelets, crepes, and fresh lunch specials. The bars were well-stocked, clean, and operated by knowledgeable staff. The bartenders and servers were friendly, patient, and accommodating, happily preparing a variety of drinks for adults as well as fun virgin cocktails for the children. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful resort, exceptional staff, and excellent restaurant dining, but improvements to the reservation process and buffet quality would greatly enhance the guest experience.
