Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana

Great experience. Hotel, bar service, food were all amazing. But the most fun was the entertainment and activities, out and in the pool. I’ll also like to mention Rissa, she’s very help and attentive with all the service. Very happy to have her helping us. I highly recommend this family friendly hotel. My kids were always In activities and even at the pool activities they included them. Very happy

Incredible experience and the hotel was perfect set up for kids especially with the kiddy pool with slides. We enjoyed numerous activities at the beach, ocean and stage. Rissa was a gem and got me to do yoga on the beach and it was lovely. Secrets spa was magical too. Loved the hydrotherapy. We will for sure be coming back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana and cannot say enough good things about our experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation unforgettable. A special thank you to Michael, our concierge, who was outstanding the entire trip. He made sure everything was perfect for us, checked in regularly, and even helped arrange room service for us. His attention to detail and genuine care truly made a difference. Maria, our housekeeper, did an incredible job every single day. Our room always looked spotless and welcoming when we returned. Jorge also went out of his way to show us around the resort and even took the time to show us the wedding planner’s office, which we really appreciated. The service at the Grotto bar was exceptional. Dolores, Rissa, Medalia, and the rest of the bar staff constantly kept the drinks coming and somehow had our orders memorized by the middle of the week! Their friendliness and energy made every pool day even better. Issa at the Preferred Club bar deserves special recognition as well. He truly treats guest satisfaction like a personal mission and always made sure we were happy and taken care of throughout our stay. The pools were always clean and well maintained, and while the food was what you would generally expect from a resort, the service everywhere more than made up for it. Overall, we had an incredible time and already cannot wait to come back. In fact, after this experience, we are planning to have our wedding at Dreams Royal Beach in the future! I am beyond disappointed with our stay at Dreams Royal Beach. What was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation turned into an incredibly frustrating and disgusting experience. Our original room had visible mold, a strong mildew smell, and overall poor cleanliness. The bathroom didn’t even have a vent, which clearly contributed to the dangerous amount of moisture and mold buildup. We were traveling with our infant son, who is sensitive to mold, and after two nights in the room he developed a skin reaction. We immediately raised concerns and showed photos to the concierge and cleaning staff. Instead of taking the issue seriously, we were repeatedly dismissed. At one point we were actually told the mold was “part of the design.” I had to explicitly tell them not to insult my intelligence by pretending visible mold and mildew stains were intentional décor. The concierge was also incredibly condescending and later tried to frame the situation as though I refused the second room because “I didn’t like the view.” That is completely false. I refused it because it ALSO had mold and the same mildew smell. On the second day, after finding additional mold and after my baby reacted, we asked for another room yet again. The replacement was somewhat better, but still had mold present. What made this even worse was the attitude of nearly every staff member we encountered. No warmth, no hospitality, no urgency — just dismissiveness and attitude. It was honestly shocking and such a stark contrast from previous visits I’ve had to the Dominican Republic. The food was also very underwhelming. Room service portions felt rationed, as if they were intentionally avoiding sending complete meals or proper portions. The pool itself was nice, but there were never enough chairs available because the resort did not enforce its own “no reserving chairs” policy. Guests would reserve chairs for hours, leaving families wandering around wasting vacation time trying to find somewhere to sit. The most upsetting part of all of this was how the mold issue was minimized and dismissed despite us traveling with an infant. A clean and safe room should be the absolute bare minimum expectation at a resort of this level. This resort completely ruined our vacation.

Beach is beautiful, rooms were impeccably clean although a tad dated decor wise. Beds were comfortable and room overall was very spacious. Food was very good but limited on selection. Themed restaurants were very very good, especially the Mexican and Teppanyaki. Entertainment team did a phenomenal job and appeared well organized. Pools were refreshing and clean, didn’t appear cloudy or stink of chlorine. It did suck sleeping in cause you’d not be able to get a chair anywhere. 9/10 staffers were pleasant and friendly. Pretty consistent experience anywhere you go these days. I would definitely go back but spread out my visits as it’s pricey and a bit restrictive without preferred which is even more money.
