I want to begin by saying that our experience with the resort was absolutely amazing. That being said, the experience was ruined when we allowed ourselves to be duped into signing a contract with the Unlimited Vacation Club. They offered some certificates to sit through a presentation, which was fine. As we learned about the club, what we were being told actually sounded like it could work for us. Part of the agreement was free days that we were told could be used at any time, with no blackout days. In fact, we were told they would upgrade our agreement specifically because we said the only time we could travel was during the holiday seasons , since my husband & I work in schools. Little did we know, they would have told us ANYTHING to get us to sign. We were sent an electronic copy of the contract & we were not reading the contract on our phones while on vacation. When we got home, we actually called within 2 weeks to book our next vacation & were immediately told we could not use our free days during the time period we wanted. We told them we wanted to cancel & they told us a supervisor would need to call us back. It is months later & we are still waiting on that call. The only thing that made joining worth it for us was being able to use those free days when we wanted. Otherwise the membership is useless to us. We came to find out that the cancellation window is 5 days! We were still on vacation 5 days after we signed the contract! That tells you all you need to know - it’s a scam. Otherwise the window to cancel would be longer. They WANT you to not be able to change your mind. We put down a deposit & tried to dispute the charge with our credit card company but they denied us. We have not used any part of the membership. It’s been a nightmare to deal with. The worst part is that UVC is part of Hyatt! It is shocking that they would affiliate themselves with such a dishonest entity. We did a social media search for UVC and could not believe what we were seeing. Complaint after complaint about what a scam it is. We should have done that immediately. But they know how to get you. You’re on vacation, you’re relaxed, you’re drinking & that’s what they count on. Don’t let your guard down!

Great experience! Shout out to Ambiorix as our beach bartender, he was awesome! He was always friendly and provided exceptional service. The food and service was great all around. Also would like to thank Francis at the pickleball courts as he made our experience there 10/10.

I must say that I was quite taken aback by the behaviour of how I was treated by this well established all inclusive. I walked into this beautiful hotel to ask for a daily pass in order to scout the hotel for future vacations while I politely approached the desk. They politely informed me that the hotel was packed and had no allowances for day passes. What was the most offensive is that I was escorted out like a criminal by a security guard. If this is how dreams treats future travellers I will not be choosing it for future vacations.

This was a great week for the family. the resort was great .We enjoyed the food at the buffets and at the restaurants. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We had the privilege of being preferred members so we were assigned Billy Sano as our butler/assistant. we had lots of issues thru the week-no internet, needing a crib, 2 family members with food allergies cat scratches with a doctor visit ,a sick family member and a family member that had a behavior meltdown ,and through it all Billy was there for us. He handled all our issues with a calm presence and managed to help us with all our needs. It made the week very enjoyable .Billy is the best, as the staff would say excellante ! another shout out to our outdoor server Dolores, and to Nelcy and Ernesto at the buffet who helped us with the food allergies. We would gladly go back again, especially great resort for families. Cannot wait to get back to our Dominican Home!!

Our experience at Dreams Royal in the Dominican Republic was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ambiorix, our incredible beachside waiter. From the moment we arrived, Ambiorix went above and beyond to make sure our group was taken care of. He checked on us constantly without ever being intrusive, just genuinely attentive and thoughtful. What really amazed us was his ability to take large, complicated drink orders and return with every single one perfectly correct, even down to the right tumbler cups. That level of attention to detail is rare and so appreciated. Beyond his efficiency, Ambiorix’s kindness truly stood out. He made a point to check in with each of us individually, asking how we were doing and making us feel seen and valued as guests. At one point, one of our friends wasn’t feeling well, and Ambiorix immediately showed concern asking what he could bring her and encouraging us to come find him if she needed anything at all. Later on when it started pouring rain and we were all huddled under the canopies, Ambiorix braved the storm to come check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. What incredible dedication. By the end of our trip, we all agreed: we would come back to Dreams Royal just for Ambiorix. He is an absolute asset to the resort and embodies what exceptional hospitality should look like. Thank you, Ambi, for making our vacation so special!
