This was our 2nd visit to Dreams Royal Beach. The 2nd time was even better then the 1st. Our butler was incredible - Junior! We loved him! He was always willing to answer questions and help us with anything we needed. Our friend child lost her doll during a room switch....Junior did EVERYTHING in his power to locate the doll through housekeeping and return it back to the family. He literally made it his mission to get it back to them. Dolores at the pool was INCREDIBLE. Loved getting to know her better. Service was incredible over all. Our 2 families had the best time! The pizza at portofino was wonderful! Room service was quick! Rooms were incredibly clean and spacious. We will be returning for a 3rd time for sure. Love this place!

Have not long returned from a 14 night stay at Dreams Royal Beach. Overall, we had a great time. Not everything was perfect, and there could be small areas for improvement We were preferred club at the new side. Our room was big, clean and spacious. Consisted of 2 toilets, 2 shower rooms, a bath on the balcony, fridge (stocked with waters, fizzy drinks etc), bottle of rum, coffee machine, steamer etc. There are kits within bathroom which are great if you have forgotten something (vanity, dental etc). We were provided with robes and slippers & lots of towels. There was also a bottle of champagne nicely chilling for arrival. Air conditioning and a safe come as standard. The resort is impeccably maintained. Is absolutely beautiful & staff are very hospitable. Mini bar gets restocked daily & housekeeping attend daily. There is a bridge through the mangrove which connects both sides of the resort. We spent equal time in both parts of the resort. More happens in the other part as that is where the entertainment and the beach are. We weren't too keen on the concierge service. We had two concierge during our stay. Our first Billy was pleasant enough, but wouldn't really say that we built much of a relationship with him. The second, Junior, we had a bit of a run in with. We decided to upgrade to a swim up room for our last couple of days. We paid extra money and was told by reception at time of booking that this would be available either the Sunday night or 1st thing Monday morning. We messaged Junior multiple times on the Monday morning & were just fobbed off that he would let us know when it was ready. Now we knew that the room was vacant as our friend had stayed in it & left 3 days prior to this & the room remained unoccupied. It got to lunchtime & we were still not in this room. We told him through message that we wanted a refund as the information given was incorrect, he then stated that he would finally come & see us. When he did, he wasn't willing to listen to what we were saying & kept speaking over us. We had to be sharp & demand to speak with his line manager & asked him to leave our room. The manager came to see us, was very understanding & apologetic & we were in the room 10 minutes later. She dealt with our concerns efficiently. A big plus is the 24hr room service, however there is a clear language barrier on the phone at times as we were having to repeat ourselves several times. There was a couple of nights when we stayed in & requested champagne to the room which never arrived despite a couple of phone calls. You can use the nightclub & casino within Secrets. We never used the casino, went to the nightclub one night. It was ok. There are a number of restaurants, we didn't get to visit all of them but will review each that we went to: FUSION - Asian restaurant. We went twice, once at the teppanyaki table & another sat away from it. Was lovely each time. WORLD CAFE - Buffet. Plenty of options. Warm food. Busy but still plenty of space. PORTOFINO - Italian. Loved it here!!! Staff were always lovely. The friendliest restaurant staff within the resort. Food was delicious & would definitely recommend. SEASIDE GRILL - outdoor. We had a really poor experience here & left. Ordered our meals. Took 50 minutes to bring the starters & even then they only brought my husbands. Questioned about mine which was vegetable soup. They said it was coming after lots of confusion. When it did come, it was only a plate of vegetables. We left at that point and went elsewhere. MERCURE - French. Stunning inside, relaxed atmosphere. Staff very attentive & food was incredible. TIDES - snack bar. Lovely food on the beachfront. Snack bar feel. Great to grab a quick bite DOLCE - ice cream parlour. Great addition & helped for cooling down. COCO CAFE - coffee bar. This is 24hr. Lovely cakes, pastries etc. Had a couple of frappes. Always lovely. Entertainment was good the nights we went. We loved the Retro Show. Wasn't too keen on the Magic Show. Favourite cocktail - Passion Fruit Daiquiri Overall, we had a great time away. Yes there were a couple of small things that weren't great but really impressed by our stay at Dreams Royal Beach

The resort is beautifully located, surrounded by stunning beaches and offering plenty of pool space to relax and enjoy. One of its unique features is a peaceful nature walk where you can admire turtles and local island birds. The property is not overly large, which makes it feel comfortable and easy to navigate, yet still spacious and well laid out. The food is very good overall, and I highly recommend trying the churrasco and parrilla at the Seaside Grill, they were definite highlights. Hansel, the manager, goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome every time, adding a personal touch to the experience. The rooms are impressively spacious, though if you’re staying on the top floor, it’s worth checking that the hot tub has adequate water pressure. Overall, this is a safe, family-friendly resort that I would definitely recommend. Don’t miss the Dominican dance show, it’s a fantastic cultural experience and a great way to end the evening.

We were a group of 8 and never had an issue getting into any of the resteraunts as we had our concierge make our reservation. Best drinks were made in the Preffered Lobby by Isaac, hands down.
