Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana

Honestly, we will definitely not back. The facility was nice and clean. But the staff was so unbelievably unfriendly. Even with us tipping, they seemed irritated by the fact that they had to do their job. Especially the bartenders. The food was horrible. I honestly didn’t find a single thing liked other than the cream pizza. We upgraded to the preferred and spent $1000 at check-in. I honestly wish we didn’t because there was no perk to even upgrading. The preferred club breakfast café was worse than the regular café. The coffee spot was the same, which was horribleby the way. You’re just really wasn’t anything to make it worth it. We didn’t get treated any differently than others staying in the regular of the hotel. It was just more of a pain in the butt because we had a shuttle or walk back-and-forth to get to the regular part, is where all of our friends were staying. Oh, all out of six all inclusive experiences that we have been lucky enough to go on, this was by far the worst.

Amenities, pools, water slides, entertainment, and services were great. The food at the Specialty restaurants and Seaside Grill were good. Buffet was so so. Beach and pool had an abundant of seating available. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Beach is full of sargassum and hotel is only cleaning the preferred part. Every hotel all around us is trying their best to keep beach clean except Dreams. You can’t use any of the beach activities. My son was also told he can not play beach volleyball on the preferred side although beach activities should be for everyone. Very disappointed in this place.

Dreams was a great resort! The beach was beautiful. Even though there was seaweed, there were attempts to clear it daily. The E-Team was high energy and always engaging. Yoga on the beach was a highlight of the trip.

Pros: 1) Grounds and amenities 2) Pool areas 3) Speciality Restaurants, easy to access at quieter times at least and unlimited use without the hassle of needing to book 4) Not crowded 5) Housekeeping 6) Well staffed 7) Gym 8) Lots of sunbed options Cons: 1) Very poor customer service and not very friendly 2) Poor staff communication 3) No pancake station 4) Needs more activities and to be staffed if on programme 5) Construction work affected quiet enjoyment 6) Problems with room key 7) Pool sunbeds would be better with a normal parasol rather than almost permanent shade
