Carnival Cruise on Land
This place is like being on a carnival cruise on land. It’s not quite clean and crowded even though they said it was not at a very high capacity. It’s just not a great environment. Everything is old and dated and the “preferred” resort is nothing but far away from everything you might want to do. Ick.

Amazing Group Wedding Trip
Thanks to Our Butler Marcelo!We recently stayed at Dreams Royal Beach with a massive group of 108 guests, and Marcelo was the absolute star of our trip! He acted as the butler for a bunch of us and handled the large crowd flawlessly. He made our dinner reservations, kept our rooms fully stocked, and constantly surprised us with special, unexpected touches. Marcelo is incredibly sweet, charming, kind, and lightning-fast whenever we need help. We felt like VIP guests the entire time (which we were!). It is a truly great resort, made even better by his exceptional service. Thank you, Marcelo

Great Place
Awesome Time, awesome people and we would def go again… Loved the pools and entertainment at night…The staff was great and Amstar there was very helpful with booking everything… I also felt very safe on this property…

Amazing Service
We had the best time on our family vacation! ROBERTO was incredible! Friendly, attentive and so very helpful!! He helped ensure we were comfortable in our room, suggested and made dinner and spa reservations, checked in multiple times a day and treated us as family. The resort was beautiful and we would definitely come back for a third time. Absolutely amazing!

Not a true Gem
The water slide was nice, resort overall was okay but would not consider it as a luxury 5-star hotel. The hotel is more like a 3.5 star. The SPA is not good, run down facility, with broken fixtures and LOTS of mold in the showers and surrounding. Food was okay but flies are everywhere. Beach was not clear, water was brown with large amount of sargassum. We didn't enjoy our 5 days at the resort.
