Heaven on earth, this is effortless luxury done right at The Westin Punta Cana Resort. Even at 100 percent capacity, it feels like your own personal island. I can attest to that from our week-long experience. The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club delivers an immediate sense of calm, space, and intention from the moment you arrive. Set along the protected beauty of Playa Blanca, the resort maintains a low density rhythm that never feels crowded and consistently feels cared for. Everything moves at the right pace. A practical tip that matters, skip transfers and simply take an Uber from Punta Cana International Airport. The ride costs under $15, takes only minutes, and sets the tone for an easy arrival and departure. The Westin Puntacana anchors the experience with confidence and genuine warmth. Rooms, grounds, and shared spaces focus on restoration and comfort, creating a natural daily cadence that encourages guests to slow down, reset, and fully enjoy the surroundings. Leadership and service elevate the stay. Jordi Figols Gagliardi, General Manager of The Westin Puntacana Resort, leads with visible kindness, responsiveness, and personal accountability. His presence sets a tone that resonates across the property. Kassandra Herminia Castillo Reyes also went above and beyond, handling details with professionalism, warmth, and thoughtful follow through that made the entire stay feel seamless. The beach and pool experience stands apart. The beach staff provide an exceptional, no charge setup that removes friction entirely, with comfortable loungers, umbrellas, towels, and attentive service that allows guests to arrive and relax without effort. The same ease carries through at the pool. One unexpected highlight, the giant hot tub. Large enough to comfortably fit roughly thirty people, it is one of the most wonderfully hot hot tubs I have experienced anywhere. Deeply relaxing, perfectly maintained, and enjoyable both day and evening, it adds a memorable layer to the experience. Dining complements the stay without overwhelming it. A single mention belongs to the on property steakhouse, which delivers a confident, well executed experience aligned with the refined, relaxed tone of the resort. Golf and wellness round out the offering in a way that feels authentic rather than promotional. This is a resort for travelers who value high standards, calm pacing, and people who genuinely care about how a stay feels from start to finish. The Westin Puntacana Resort delivers that promise with clarity and consistency.

As a Lifetime Platinum member with over 50 nights per year, this is the FIRST time we have been disappointed with our stay. We chose the Westin over an All-Inclusive hotel in Punta Cana to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed at this hotel for six nights, booking two rooms for a total in $$$$$, and the experience did not align with the hotel’s 4-star luxury positioning. Despite requesting and paying for ocean-facing connecting rooms weeks in advance (via app, email, and phone), we were assigned 2nd-floor rooms with no ocean view. We later learned that ocean-facing rooms are not connecting—information that should have been disclosed prior to booking. Service and operational issues were consistent throughout the stay: -Did not receive a Welcome drink -Rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon (around 4:45 pm) . One day they showed up at 9 am after we complained! -Billing errors required correction but were fixed when we checked out thankfully. -No complimentary coffee available in the lobby, unlike other 4 star hotels. The hotel bar served coffee for $7 with crazy DR tax (18%) +10% service charge. Not worth the $7! -Bottled water priced at $9 -Rooms were extremely minimal, lacking basic functionality: -No chest of drawers in one of the connecting rooms -No chair other than the chair at the desk -No hooks in the bathroom -No turndown service -Toiletries were not replenished during the entire 6-day stay, despite multiple requests -Internet service was unreliable -No boxed breakfast options for those who had early morning excursions (and we were told by the front desk supervisor Juan that "Complimentary Breakfast" for Platinum means its "complimentary" meaning you didn't pay for it, so you cannot get a boxed breakfast. He did get it approved on 1 day and the other day told us we could ask at "Amani" the restaurant and their staff said NO WAY, NO BOXED BREAKFAST rudely (host Melaynia) -No convenient on-site option to purchase snacks, the retail store was mostly selling clothes -Food pricing was excessive and over priced for the quality offered, forcing you into doing the buffet breakfast -$24 plus service charge and tax for a salmon bagel -$36 per person for buffet breakfast (with tax) -Shuttle service failed to arrive as scheduled at 5:00 pm, requiring us to take an Uber. No return shuttles to the hotel after 5 pm. -Loud music continued until 2:00 am, making sleep difficult We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, which the hotel acknowledged with a very underwhelming small cake after having mentioned it in emails, over the phone and the front desk person even asking us for the 4th time if we were there to celebrate a special occasion. A regular Marriott Hotel leaves a wine bottle!! The staff were consistently polite, but they appeared to have little authority to resolve issues. Too many people working in the lobby and front desk area whereas 2 people cleaning rooms on each floor. Someone needs to manage the staffing better...lots of employees trying to act busy!!! At this price point, the overall experience was disappointing and did not meet expectations for a hotel marketed as a luxury property. I would not stay here again.

The room was old and damaged. I came to the resort to stay in the resort and went to three restaurants but couldn’t get a table at all. I tried making a reservation with the front desk and the employee was incredibly rude.

Small quiet hotel with excellent dining options. I am impressed that a property with 200-ish rooms has several great restaurants with no overlap that is commonly experienced with the larger properties. The rooms are quite large and most have great views that I could tell. This is not a night life property so is best suited for those looking to chill. The pools were basically deserted and the beach had front row seating every day with no competition for chairs and the resort was full. Its the right mix of quiet and quality with excellent and attentive beach/pool service. Do not miss Playa Blanca - we didn't really notice it was there until the last day and wished we had. Its a lively beach club (open to public) with great food and you can go back to the nice quiet of the Westin with a quick walk. I would also say Brassa and Bao are great as is the breakfast offering at the hotel. La Yola (sister property) was just BAD - no better way to describe it. I was excited to try it and the views are quite nice but the complete absence of patrons should have tipped us off - its just absolutely horrible. I could not even eat the fish served to me and I have been a pescatarian for 40 years. AVOID. No one cared that none of the food we ordered was consumed or taken away so it must be common. AWFUL is not strong enough to describe the place.

Great proximity to the airport, beach and touristy things. Restaurants on property aren’t cheap but appropriately priced, food is very good. Staff is wonderful.
