Stayed at the JM for two nights and visited the lounge daily. Abel and Jose were awesome hosts and made our stay that much better! Highly recommend!

We had high hopes for JW Marriott in Panama City. We booked 2 nights and we can honestly say that we were disappointed. The maintenance of the building was not up to par with the Marriott name. The room, # 2611, had not had a deep cleaning for a very long time. I took off my shoes, as always upon entering the room and within 10 minutes, my white socks were black. It was like the floors hadn't been cleaned in a century. We wanted to sit on the patio but, once again, the patio furniture was filthy and sitting was not an option. The toilet would only flush once every 5 minutes since it took that long to refill the tank. The light on the desk was not working, the shower had low pressure and a hot morning shower was out of the question since the hot water was no more after 8am. Lastly, we were charged $11.77 for a mysterious charge upon leaving. We used the fridge in the room for our own water and didn't touch anything in the mini bar, yet we were charged. One bright note was the MasiMasi restaurant on site. It was really good food with great views. If we ever go back to Panama City, we are certain not to stay in the JW Marriott again. There are many nice hotels in the city but this one is not one of these. Not recommeded.

This by far is the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, the staff could not do enough for us. The staff actually treats you like Family they know your name after a couple of times they see you at your favorite table. They get your favorite drink and how they remember this I don’t know. They arranged transportation and everything‘s always with a smile if you have any problem, which we never did. I’m sure they take care of it immediately.
