Spoiled in Paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute in this truly secluded tropical paradise, surrounded by beautiful views and countless opportunities for nature hikes and sea adventures. From the moment we arrived to a cold towel and coconut-filled water (with hiking boots, snorkels and binoculars conveniently placed at our casita door), we realized the staff was eager to focus on us so that we could make the most out of Costa Rica. One of our many highlights was boating among literally hundreds of dolphins (bottlenose, spotted and spinner) while catching five sizable yellowfin tuna along the way, resulting in plenty of incredible sushi to share. Sea kayaking in the mangroves and an off-campus picnic with the monkeys was another memorable day. Visiting several sloths in their natural habitat was also an unexpected treat, especially when they were energized by a passing shower. Back at the lodge, gourmet meals from the organic garden, blended drinks from the well-stocked bar, and the exceptional service surpassed even our high hopes. The casitas were also the perfect touch of luxury with the added bonus of plunge pool and hammock. All in all, what made the stay truly exceptional was the staff's ability to make the experience so personal, including a birthday to remember and the resort's refreshing authenticity in preserving and sharing nature.

A 5* resort with lots to offer

Great resort in Costa Rica. It was a lovely place in which to end our holiday. The staff were so cheerful, shows they enjoy their work. They were helpful, attentive tho not intrusive, and professional in all departments. Delicious food. There is a good range of activities and the lodge we stayed in is tops. We loved the setting.

Plan to return for a longer stay

An incredible experience of peaceful luxury. No air conditioners, televisions or noisy neighbors. Awakening to breezes, incredible birds and howler monkeys. Day getting too hot? Just relax in your private pool. Meals are freshly prepared to order and excellent. We recommend the romantic dinner for 2. Added 18 birds to my life list on the resort. We plan to return.

Terrific Rainforest Getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Beautiful, (very) hidden, retreat you can get to only by boat. From your room to the grounds, you're surrounded by lush rainforest filled with animals including toucans, humming birds and monkeys. Sign up for activities like kayaking, hikes and snorkeling with well-informed, friendly, guides. Spa treatments and yoga also available. Terrific meals (especially the fish) mornings, afternoons and evenings. The attentive staff including Ray and Andrea are there to assist for any requests or questions you have.
