We had an excellent 3 night stay at Villa Caletas in mid-April. The hotel is beautiful with an amazing infinity pool and nice private beach. The prices are a little expensive for drinks and food, but well worth it!

Amazing 360 ° views so good tour groups visit at sunset for cocktails. The hotel is built on a 1200' hilltop surrounded by rainforest, amazing setting built with great difficulty by a Frenchman Mr. Denis Roy the touches and attention to detail is finely done with great taste, the result is an exceptional property that oozes romance. The sister property Zephyr Palace even more amazing for way larger villa type accomodations. You won't be disappointed to have this place for a wedding our romantic getaway. We ate at the restaurant for every meal and it was also excellent enjoy.

This trip with my best friend was all that I could imagine. The photos online cannot do it justice. The staff was amazingly nice, but do not be cheap on the tipping. Notable staff were Jockson (restaurant) and Giovanni (bellhop). We had a Junior Suite Superior, which was well worth its price. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom were as well. Everything was in working condition including the hot tub outside. Whether you'd like a private hang out on your terrace or a visit to the private pool for guests of the Junior Suites... or the main pool, you will not be disappointed. My only complaint is that I booked and paid for an excursion through a third party website prior to arriving to the boutique hotel. Somehow, the hotel charged me again for the excursion that I had already paid for, even after I provided them my receipt and emails. The language barrier was tough in trying to resolve the double charge.

This hotel was an oasis in what was a great trip. We stayed in the Oriental Suite and was blown away with the privacy and beauty all from our balcony. If you have time, stay a night or's great.

Villa Caletas is perched high up on a ridge with unobstructed views of the ocean and mass foliage surrounding the property. Outdoor dining allows you to feel connected with nature with enjoying a variety of options for each meal. The property is sizable with a few buildings - there is a slight, but manageable walk from the suites to the main concierge and guest check-in area. Golf cart transport is available and staff was very friendly and always happy to help. The concierge assisted us in booking several excursions all of which were within an hour or less drive. We enjoyed ziplining, a crocodile tour and monkey and sloth siting in the nearby Manuel Antonio Park. Costa Rica boasts a rich wildlife and the guides within the park are extremely knowledgable and point out a variety of insects, sloths, monkeys, birds and reptiles - many of which we would not have seen without the expert eye guiding us. Overall, our experience at Villa Caletas was wonderful and look forward to returning in the future!
