Friendly staff, beautiful location and views, clean rooms, private beach. Prices were very fair and it was a perfect distance from Jaco or Los Sueños while maintaining a quiet, private atmosphere. Will be back!

My wife and I recently went to Villa Caletas for the 4th time. this hotel is like no other. its serenity is unmatched, its beauty intoxicating and its overall atmosphere is unrivaled. I wouldn't be surprised to run into any Hollywood star there. the price is upper end, but no more so than any other really nice hotel in the area. the rooms range from a master suit complete with private pool and private jacuzzi, to a standard room. which is still very nice. the hotel is kept up very nicely, which is more than I can say for many placed in Costa Rica.

This hotel is intoxicating. Thats all I can say. The rooms are seductive and have views to die for. This hotel is clean, the service is outstanding and the food is creative and decadent. We had the Superior Junior suite and spent time out on our balcony. Viewing the ocean and having wild Macaw's land in a tree next to us for a visit was breathtaking. The amphitheater at sunset with music and craft cocktails is a great way to end the day and just reflect on how Beautiful this place is. I love so much I'll be back in 6 weeks! Until then...Pura Vida Villa Caletas!

My wife and I were here for a relaxing sabbatical and took advantage of as much of the hotel as possible and were thoroughly impressed. In terms of just the hotel experience, it was exactly what I'd hoped for - great views from our private balcony, comfortable bed, quiet AC unit, large hot shower, and surprisingly fast wi-fi. If you just want to spend some time resting in a nicer hotel room, you wouldn't go wrong here. You'd also be missing out! The sunset views are much heralded and definitely did not disappoint, especially perched from the infinity pool. Our first night a (large) wedding party staying at the hotel made the pool & viewing area feel a bit crowded, but once they checked-out, a normal guest load left a lot privacy. (Tip: If you find the crowds too much to deal with for the sunset view, head down to the Gym. You have the same, if not better, view as the amphitheater with next to no one around). The restaurant and bar were great - attentive service with tasty food and drinks. My recommendation for dinner would be the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto and for lunch/pool food the Quesadilla. On our last day, my wife was pampered at the onsite Serenity Spa, which she raved about, and I headed down to the private beach. The beach was stunning to look at and hike around, with Scarlet Macaws hanging out overhead and a full service bar. There's not much of a beach at low tide - rocky and weedy - but if you mainly want to sun bathe and soak in the scenery, this could not be beat. If you want to swim, stay at the stunning pool. Hearing from some other guests, the hike down to the beach is worth the steeper trail, if you can manage it, as it is stunning rainforest scenery with lots of wildlife, and you can take the shuttle back up. I regret not doing it. In summary, stay at Hotel Villa Caletas if you want a luxury mix of rainforest and ocean, in clean and spacious rooms, with incredibly amenities such as a spa, infinity pool, and great dining.

We were going on a cruise through the Panama Canal, and decided to take a few extra days in Costa Rica. This is an iconic place, built to look like something out of Rome and Greece. The ampitheater is amazing at sunset! Food and drinks are five star, as well as the service. Our room had a large pool adjacent, for 6 suites to use. Plenty of exotic birds and reptiles to soo. Highly reccomend
