Best thing about this hotel-the outrageously stunning views.High up on hill overlooking the bay below.Bright tropical plants, greenery, blue sea.Wonderful.However,beach is not fit for swimming-waves are way too powerful even for a strong swimmer but sunbathers will be happy enough. It’s isolated so if you prefer livelier holidays bear that in mind.Lovely rooms with a view.Breakfast and meals good.Desk/lobby staff & service ok.There is a cheaper beauty salon option to spa with lovely facials done by friendly beautician.

We stayed in one of the Master suites with the private pools overlooking the forest and ocean. The view was amazing! The room was very nice. Comfortable bed. Spacious with bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. The property is gorgeous. From the amazing amphitheater with the BEST sunsets to the incredible infinity pool to the restaurants. The hotel's private beach is beautiful too. Private and set up very nicely. It was a great way to spend a day. The only complaint I have is the price of the food. The food was ok and VERY expensive. We were glad we had a car and ended up going into town and eating after a day and a half eating at the hotel. We aren't opposed to paying a lot for a good meal but the cost did not equal what we got so we chose to eat elsewhere. Would be a place where you could go and never leave if the options for dining were better. Despite the restaurant comments, this was an amazing stay and I recommend it. Just rent a car so you can eat elsewhere if you choose.

The Hotel Villa Caletas is one of the best hotels in Central America. Although our villa was one of the furthest from the pool and restaurant, the walk through the gardens was such a treat. You will notice the incredible architecture and landscape of this property - from the mosaic tile walkway to the variety of plants and animals that live on the property. Our room was very spacious, elegantly appointed with comfortable furnishings, and a large terrace with one of the best views in the world -- nothing like watching the sun set across Playa Herradura and the Nicoya Peninsula and Pacific Ocean. In addition, the infinity pool was spectacular and very relaxing. My family and I had several really amazing cocktails during our stay and the food was some of the best I have tasted in Costa Rica. Also, the staff was absolutely incredible and accommodated us every moment, especially Jocksan who always asked if our stay was comfortable and if we needed anything. I only wish we had stayed longer.

This hotel is absolutely incredible. There is not one place on the property that you cant see breathtaking and majestic views of the Pacific Ocean. My husband and I spent 3 days in the New World Suite at Zephyr Palace and we weren't disappointed. We had our own staircase down to our room and we were surrounded by nothing but spectacular views. We had a hot tub on our balcony which was ready to use and clean and also our own private pool. The Zephyr palace area has its own infinity pool which boasts more beautiful views! The hotel is located on a steep hill and it takes some time to get there but it's worth it. The sunsets every evening were beautiful and people come to this hotel JUST to see the sunsets. The on site restaurant has a vegetarian/vegan menu which we appreciated since we're both veggie. We also were able to book an all day excursion to Tortuga Island through the concierge. Overall, we had an incredible time here and hope to be back soon! A definite A plus in our books!

This hotel is set into the side of a lush, tree filled hill, and has amazing views. A luxury hotel, with attentive and friendly staff. The hotel grounds are kept very well, and the amenities are elegant - what a great infinity pool with a great view of the sunset. Our suite was private and we had an outdoor hot tub overlooking the valley and water. It was perfect. The only negative was the hotel's private beach - it was not kept very clean, the beach attendants did not engage guests or clean up, and some of the cabanas were dirty. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.
