Welcome to Villa Caletas a luxury boutique hotel in Costa Rica, 1150 feet over the vibrant Central Pacific coast and the rain forest. The hotel is prized not only for its location in the lush tropical jungle, but also for its design, décor, restaurant and private beach. Be prepared to be blissfully taken away and live an enchanting experience where amazing views, outstanding facilities and service are second to none.

A quirky hotel with lots of nooks and crannies, fun to explore but could do with more signage around the place. The room was comfortable, little cramped but with amazing views . No extra blanket in cupboards as is the norm. Bathroom was a little dated and could have been cleaner. No hot water in the morning after 5 mins of running, but nice lemon grass scented lotions etc. Resturant has lovely views, dinner was nice but breakfast disappointing, bacon dry and tasteless rather than crispy, toast bland white bread, cooked a while previous. Infinity pool lovely but lots of leaves on floor - not even floating. Like the paths around the property all needed a bit of regular sweeping. Welcome at reception was friendly and golf cart lift to room useful.

I have to agree that the service at this hotel has plummeted over the last few years. The check in experience was just cold and lacked any type of special experience that used to be the hallmark of this hotel. We were severely let down by the quality of the restaurant itself, servicing genuinely bad food at an inflated price. Would not recommend this hotel unfortunately.

I traveled with my wife and a 2-year-old child. The hotel is very beautiful and peaceful, and the entire staff was extremely friendly throughout our stay. The views are among the best in the area—if you visit during summer, you might catch some stunning sunsets. Housekeeping service was excellent: punctual and efficient. A few areas for improvement: 1: The minibar was empty. The front desk staff told me that since 2020, they no longer stock it with items like drinks, snacks, or cookies. 2: The private pools in the villas are quite deep—about 1.7 meters (5.6 feet)—so they're not suitable for kids or anyone who doesn't know how to swim. 3: The room service menu is very limited. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel. I believe it's mainly designed for couples, but you can definitely enjoy it as a family too—you’ll have a great time.

North Beach high school 50th class reunion trip Between Tarcoles and Jaco, high on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean, there's a magical place. Villa Caletas is my favorite spot to sip cocktails, in their Zephyr palace and amphitheater, while watching the 360 degree sunset. These beautiful sunset photos are not filtered, just Mother Nature at her finest. Our group did not dine here or stay in the hotel, that's another story 😁, but we enjoyed the most beautiful cocktail hour while watching the sunset. Life is good in Costa Rica Pura vida

I arranged a honeymoon in Costa Rica with the majority of our time spent at Villa Caletas. We arrived at our hotel and were blown away by its beauty, a sublime harmony of architectural style and natural splendor. It's one of the nicest places I've ever stayed.

We stayed in Costa Rica at Villa Caletas. The experience provided us with a top-notch hotel room, unique and elegant, with added benefits like spa treatments, horseback riding, dinners with wine and so much more. With the quality of the facilities and the courtesy of the staff, every effort was always made to welcome us.

We stayed at the Villa Caletas for five nights in a junior suite. We LOVED staying at the boutique hotel in our own villa, with a hot tub on the deck, overlooking the ocean. And they threw in breakfasts and dinners, too! We travel a lot and this was the most amazing place we've ever been!
