Friendly front office team Location Good wifi Very comfortable beds Controls for aircon, lights in room etc on TV New light rail station ( The Star) adjoins the hotel. Light rail (trams) interconnect with Central mainline railway station. Not a grand hotel but does have a plush feel. Being attached to the Star Casino means lots of food outlets on your doorstep.

The Darling hotel is a magnificent gem in a central location between the city and darling harbour. The staff are very well presented, always greet you with a smile and have genuine care which makes you feel incredibly special. The rooms are incredibly beautiful with my favourite being the adored suite, the spa in this suite has an awesome view of the harbour bridge. I definitely recommend this hotel above all others in Sydney!

Following an unfortunate encounter with a less than enthusiastic female desk clerk at the start of our stay, things just got better and better. This is a fabulous hotel and our room was absolutely perfect. The pool area is also wonderful and so too is the hotel’s position. It’s a pity the attitude of the one staff member we encountered was negative but it didn’t impact on our stay. Concierge staff deserve a special mention ~ more than compensate for the front desk inadequacies.

Stayed here with my wife for nine days. Was going to stay at the park Hyatt but some friends told me about this hotel and I decided to stay here. I asked them to block a jewel suite on an upper level floor so I had a Harbor view. They did that and the room was beautiful. The hotel is conveniently located next to Darling harbor and the Star casino.. There are great restaurants and good shopping nearby. The staff is very friendly. During my stay they were very helpful but unfortunately there were some miscommunications early on with housekeeping. For the first few days there were problems keeping my room stocked with water and towels until I talked to the right person. They also have no executive or concierge lounge where you can get the usual complementary breakfast when you pay $1000 a day for a suite. On the other hand everything else about this place is five star and we really enjoyed our stay.
