Eichardt's Private Hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand
Eichardt's Private Hotel has a history steeped in gold. Built as a homestead in 1859 and turned into a hotel during the peak of Queenstown’s gold rush, it is now New Zealand’s oldest and most exclusive lakefront address. Choose from 10 suites, including four two-bedroom apartments and a grandiose three-bedroom residence separate from the hotel, and enjoy easy access to the adventure Queenstown is known for – this is the World’s Best Ski Resort, according to the World Travel Awards. Locals flock to hotspot Eichardt’s Bar, where chef William Eaglesfield serves up organic dishes and bespoke cocktails.
Plan a day that combines the best of the region – adventure and wine – with the help of the hotel’s exclusive contacts. Soar over The Remarkables in a chartered helicopter. Visit the Otago region’s best vineyards from the comfort of a limo. Taste a reserve batch of Sauvignon Blanc. Return to the hotel to snuggle up by the fireplace with a bowl of seafood chowder and a Pinot Noir made exclusively for the bar.

Reviews for Eichardt's Private Hotel
"Amazing Location and Boutique Hotel Perfection" Eichardt's Private Hotel leaves you not wanting to return home. If you are travelling with a family, the hotel also offers luxury 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. The apartments are amazing and are located in the heart of Queenstown, with stunning lake views. The apartments have the charm of a cottage by the lake and every detail you could ever place on your wish-list has been thoughtfully planned out and put into place for your total comfort. The staff are on hand 24 hours for anything you may need and are extremely helpful in any request no matter how big or small. The staff at this hotel are incredible and we can't thank them enough for all their help during our stay. This is our 2nd visit to this hotel and we have already planned our return stay again for next years ski season. If you are looking for an amazing hotel in Queenstown, then look no further. This is one of those hotels that makes your holiday experience even better than you can possibly imagine. I will write a more detailed review later in the week and I will also include some beautiful pictures from our 3 bedroom apartment. This hotel really make you love your hotel stay as much as your holiday location ...... Another amazing stay at this stunning hotel. A huge thank-you to the team at Eichardt's.......The Testa Family will be back again next year.......

Just had our third stay at this unique property .... and please to report the amazingly high standards have been maintained .... it's truely a gem and worth every penny . The room, service and food down stairs is hard to fault . My favourite hotel by far in QT!
Lake view suite with a spectacular uninterrupted view up Lake Wakatipu to the snow covered mountains and the busy lake front tourist area. Great fit out, fireplace and all the trappings of a luxury boutique hotel. Service was OK with very friendly staff. Lived up to its 5 stars - just.

We recently stayed at the Residence for a short stay, a 3 floor apartment with incredible views atop a hill overlooking the lake!.. first time in Queenstown, but didn't want to leave. Special thanks to the fantastic Concierges at Eichardt....Chelsea, Adriana and Elsa!

Eichartds is without a doubt the most unique and luxurious hotel i have had the pleasure of experiencing. It all starts from the moment you are collected from the airport in a black Range Rover and whisked to the lake-front location. The location could not get any more central in one of New Zealand's prettiest towns. The staff are warm, friendly and fully knowledgeable on everything Queenstown. My room with it's uber-cool period styled furnishings and ambience were very special and the smell classy and welcoming. It simply doesnt get any better.....
