Reviews for Hacienda Jurica Queretaro
When requesting services to the room (e.g. coffee bags) we were told "right away", we had to remind them two times to get the service. The restaurant service was very slow and in times they were not polite. They appeared overwhelmed.
We were put in a dirty room (stains on the bedsheets; toothpaste on the bathroom taps; dirty toilet) so we went to the front desk. The guy asked us "do you want a different room, or do you want us to send someone to clean?". We replied that we wanted a different room. "There are no more rooms available" was the reply. Later our Spanish-speaking friend had a word with the front desk and it turned out they did have some more rooms after all. At 80 GBP per night this was not a cheap hotel for us, and for that money the very least you can expect is a clean room; and failing that, a swift and painless room change. The food in the hotel restaurant was really good, but the service was frustratingly slow, even when the restaurant was quiet. On multiple occasions we waited over an hour for food or the bill, having asked the staff about it multiple times. We spoke to a different waiter each time, and although a large team of them prowled the restaurant like sharks, they were somehow inattentive and difficult to flag down. On one occasion we got up to leave in a desperate bid for attention, but no-one noticed. So we left. They later called our room at 10pm asking who was going to pay. It was like this for the duration of our stay, and even when we gave up and had the buffet dinner, it still took ages to get the bill! In short, the rude and disinterested staff were the most memorable feature of our stay. Which is a shame, because the hotel is quite beautiful. It has a delightful inner courtyard full of old-timey carriages, a nice pool, and a good cook. Even the minigolf couldn't save it. Gordon Ramsay, if you are reading this; this hotel needs you.

My family and I went to Queretaro city to a friend’s celebration, stayed overnight at Hacienda Jurica by Brisas, and it went wrong from the beginning, the staff was very slow to perform the check in, and next day the checkout went even worse, more than 45 minutes in line to pay for a few drinks and breakfast. Now that I think it over, it is my worst ever checkout experience. The staff was very attentive, but clearly lacks training and practice. The location is magnificent and just walking among the many corridors, halls and gardens, make the visit great. The room I got (244) was ample, with a very large bathroom (that clearly required some maintenance in the shower), and two double beds, one of them with a broken leg. The pillows were terrible, so no way to get a good night of sleep. Nice set of toilet amenities were provided. Sunday brunch is very good, with lots of selections, unfortunately is very crowded. The pool area is very nice. Overall, the building and facilities are very nice (some need some better maintenance), but the staff is not up to the service level that I am used to get.
The Hotel is magnificent. I loved the decoration and the fact that it is a historical monument. I enjoyed the pool area very relaxing and quiet environment. I like the fact that they have an area for the children along with a creative center.
Hacienda means the residence of big farm, plantation. So, we can see the regacy of the hacienda. The room is remodelized in modern style. But, we have only 3 floors. We can see many pictures in the wall and we can see the open roof of fountin around the house. The check in lounge is in antique style. But, it takes 10 or 20 minute to go to the room. Around the hotel, there is big park way around the hotel. So, it is not easy to find drugstore and convenient store near the hotel
