The lovely Oberoi Rajvilas is a little bit of heaven situated on 34 acres of gardens and apparently a golf course we didn’t even get too. Our room had a rose petalled birdbath situated in a high walled courtyard giving us privacy with our floor to ceiling windows in our bathroom. On one occasion we had three peacocks sitting on our wall. Bougainvillea draped over walls, water Lillie’s floating, just some of the attractions the gardens feature, superb! My wife had a massage which she said was bliss. The recognition by name we received by staff seems to be a “ Oberoi Secret” I still can’t understand how it is done. The words “attention to detail” don’t do justice to how one is looked after. Nothing is ever “too much trouble” in fact “over deliver” is definitely their mantra. Surprises are another Oberoi handwriting. Out of nowhere and completely unexpectedly, something delightful can occur.

This was our third Oberoi on this holiday to India and all have been excellent - property, cleanliness, restaurants and particularly service. Oberoi Rajvilas was exceptional in every respect but I must make one special mention. We were booked for three nights and decided to leave it to our last night to try the specialist Indian restaurant- Raj Mahal - so imagine our disappointment when told it was fully booked for a large party. The restaurant chef heard of this from the front desk, called and said he’d do whatever we wanted from his menu and have it served in the other restaurant. He then came to our room with menus, talked us through options, asked what time suited and went away to sort matters. Yes, we ate in the main restaurant but our table was set as if in the Raj Mahal, the food was delicious - the service impeccable. Just another example of the Oberoi going that extra mile. Throughout our stay all the staff were friendly, attentive and keen to make our time with them memorable - and it has been!

This was our second experience of an Oberoi hotel during our tour of the golden triangle - and it didn’t disappoint. Having experienced the Oberoi in Agra we thought this hotel would have a lot to live up to and it absolutely did. The welcome was exceptionally friendly and warm. The rooms are terrific - essentially cottage style accommodation with deep plunge baths and open showers. We had a beautiful four poster bed. The pool and associated spa is very good. The bar which is set in a mock library is a pleasant retreat to enjoy a cocktail or two... The single restaurant is very good and the staff exceptionally attentive. The evening entertainment was great fun. When the staff learnt of some nasty bites my wife had picked up in Agra they were kind enough to offer helpful advice and send out for ointment (which we’re happy to say seems to have done the trick) A great experience - if you’re planning a visit to Jaipur this is the place to stay.

This fabulous hotel has unbelievable beautiful grounds and an outstanding staff. The restaurants were excellent and the service impeccable. Peacocks freely roamed the areas around the multiple room complexes. The rooms were large and had all of the amenities that busy travelers want. It was about a 20-30 minute drive from the hotel to the old (Pink) city, but the sights along the way made the time fly. Jaipur is one of the best places to shop for rugs, textiles, and jewelry.

it was our 41st wedding anniversary we booked for a poolside dinner at the Oberoi Rajvilas Luckily the weather outdoors was perfect, not too cool, just a gentle breeze The ambiance was excellent with the pool on one side, and the lit up spas across Ishan, who served us, gave personalized service and a cool lesson in wine tasting to my son. My son an avid butter chicken fan ordered Rajvilas Chicken curry, the Chef's recommendation, which turned out to be a finger licking choice. I had a continental chicken Poussin, perfectly cooked in a drooling sauce we topped it off with homemade ice cream, a black and white almond tiramisu and chocolate bomb The whole meal was stupendous and the whole experience unforgettable I hope my compliments were passed on to the chef for the delectable cuisine The steward was benevolent enough to take us on a golf cart tour of the sprawling facility if you are celebrating a delicate occasion, this might be the way to go.
