The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

The hotel people could not be nicer and more thoughtful. Always coming out to make sure that everything has been taken care of for you the rooms were beautiful and the food was fantastic and the drinks, especially the pomegranate martini was amazing.

The welcome at Oberoi Rajvilas was heartfelt and that set the tone for our stay. We celebrated Divali at Rajvilas and no effort was spared to make it a marvellous one. From the Divali afternoon tea to the lighting of fireworks to the celebration in the on-site temple beautifully lit and surrounded by a lily pond with egrets standing guard. The grounds are extensive and beautifully planted, we loved the roaming peacocks and parakeets overhead, A cocktail before dinner is recommended and the barman’s advice never failed - he was very personable and attentive. Dinner to discrete Indian music was exquisite. I recommend Oberoi Rajvilas most highly. PS. We had a brilliant guide supplied by the hotel and we shall remember the Amber Palace and the elephant ride up to it forever.

We were stopping over in Jaipur on our way to their sister property in Udaipur. The Rajvilas experience was pleasant as always. The rooms were very beautifully appointed, particularly the extremely well designed bathrooms. Food was also pretty good and dinner was very enjoyable at the Suryamahal. I think the highlight for me was the incredible health and wellness building. I had a nice session in their gym and my spa therapy after was truly special. The entire building is designed very well. There was some renovation work taking place in front of the temple during my stay, but otherwise the property appeared as beautiful as ever. This remains as one my favourite Oberoi properties and I expect to visit again soon.

Beautiful grounds, immaculate rooms, and excellent service. It was a pleasure to stay here on our recent visit to India.

Enjoyed a 7 night stay at Oberoi Rajvilas earlier this month and everything was just perfect from start to finish. The beautiful warm welcome we received upon arrival complete with being showered with rose petals and flower garlands and a blessing were just a taste of things to come. We stayed in a beautiful villa with a private pool that was spacious, luxurious and very comfortable, complete with lots of beautiful peacock visitors to our garden and pool area to watch and admire. In fact upon learning how very much I enjoyed the peacocks roaming around the hotel and the other wildlife too, a member of staff made sure I had nuts to feed them every morning. This is just one of the many lovely gestures and attention to detail that the many wonderful staff made. Nothing was too much trouble for them and each and everyone of them that we met contributed to our comfort and enjoyment on this very special stay. All the food and drinks we enjoyed during our stay were amazing and delicious and the bar and restaurant staff did everything in their power to ensure we enjoyed all we imbibed. Our personal butler Daniyal deserves a special mention for taking such good care of us and showering us with thoughtful and kind gifts each evening when we returned to our villa. This trip was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and Daniyal made sure to give us lots of wonderful memories and experiences to enjoy during our stay. There are so many other members of staff that deserve mentioning but I’m afraid we can’t remember all their names. A wonderful young lady called Chavni, plus Novesh and Sameer and many others did a wonderful job of making us feel well looked after. Also much appreciation to all the housekeeping staff that keep everything spotless and gleaming and all the staff by the main pool. The Rajvilas really is heaven on earth and a perfect place to relax and unwind in busy, beautiful and vibrant Jaipur. Such a peaceful and serene sanctuary where your every wish is taken care of. Our stay in this very special place in this very special city will live in our memories and always bring a big smile to our faces.
