The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

A quick look at previous reviews will reveal the rare quality of this hotel. I don’t need to repeat the praises that are bestowed on this fine hotel other than to say the Oberoi Rajvilas served ever ounce of praise bestowed upon it. It is magnificent and will, undoubtedly, be no surprise that our stay at this hotel was exceptional in every way– the comfort, the enviable facilities that we enjoyed throughout our stay and above all, the service, friendliness, hospitality of every staff member that we came in contact with during our stay. I have travelled to over 60 countries in my past 30 years of work and leisure travel and have never experienced the level of perfection of this, and the other Oberoi hotels, that we have stayed in during this tour. The 150 peacocks that roam freely throughout this resort are another of the many fine touches that sets this hotel appears. There are two staff members that have reallly impressed us as being as exceptional ambassadors of the overall group of Oberoi hotels. Firstly, Charvi, at the Rajwada bar exemplifies all that Oberoi strives for – poise, professionalism, warm and unobtrusive hospitality. Her knowledge of wine, for a young woman of her age, is exceptional. Ankita from the restaurant, will remain in our memories as one of the finest members of the staff. Her enthusiasm, knowledge, friendliness are rare qualities that, if I were her manager, I would fight to retain under any circumstances. I acknowledge that this review is highly effusive but I assure you that I genuinely mean every syllable and word.

Amazing experience loved the nonveg delicacy hope to experience again

This was a short stay at the Rajvilas. I had requested an early check in, which was granted to me. We were nicely welcomed into the main lobby where the GM, Mr. Sawhney, met us personally for a brief chat. The Rajvilas was looking as beautiful as ever and the sprawling gardens and greens truly evoked wonderful a sense of place and belonging. Our Garden room was spacious and beautifully appointed. So many Oberoi Vilas properties have curated their tasteful interiors drawing inspiration from the Rajvilas. The absolute highlight for me at Rajvilas was the washroom, especially with the sunken bath, which the housekeeping team carefully prepared with fragrant salts and roses in the evening. The housekeeping team at this property manages to impress and surpass its own lofty standards on every subsequent stay. The other “must do” experience at the property is the Spa. That evening, we experienced wonderfully tailored ASMI treatments in their large couples therapy suite and we returned to our room completely rejuvenated. We only ordered IRD during this stay, and both our meals were excellent in terms of taste and quality. The breakfast at Suryamahal was also an enjoyable experience the next morning. After this short stay, we received a very warm send-off from the team. In my opinion, the Rajvilas is the kind of property that makes you forget the city or place you are visiting. This is the typical “check-in and stay-in” kind of property for me. I mean this as praise since the incredible food, service, grounds, wellness facilities, and overwhelming Oberoi hospitality make you not want to leave the hotel at any time during your stay. Further, having experienced two incredible stays under the stewardship of Mr. Sawhney at another Oberoi property, I am certain that the Rajvilas experience is only getting better. I look forward to my next visit.

The Oberoi Rajvilas sits at the the list of the world’s great hotels. Great comfort, immaculate housekeeping, superb gardens and food of the highest standard. All the above is easy, but it is the staff who make it happen. As always with Oberoi the smiles are everywhere, nothing is impossible. There is no such word as no in the Oberoi dictionary,

What can I say? This place is amazing, from the people to the service to the food — everything was beautiful. We have travelled all over the world and stayed in some very luxurious hotels, but we have never experienced the level of service that was provided by the whole team here, and especially by Amhika. She is truly exceptional. Whatever trips we had booked, Amhika was always aware of our itinerary and made sure she was on top of everything. She ensured people turned up on time and would always arrange takeaway breakfast or lunch for us when needed. Nothing was ever too much for her, and she always did everything with a smile.. She even liaised with our car driver to make sure he knew exactly where to go and would phone him to check that we had arrived at our destination. The attention to detail and care she gave us really made our stay so special. The breakfasts and dinners were sumptuous. We particularly enjoyed their thali, with such a wonderful selection of curries — truly delicious. A big shout-out to the chefs for the fantastic food, and also for the great cooking class we had, which was such an enjoyable experience. The whole team should be incredibly proud. We felt so well looked after from the moment we arrived, and Amhika in particular made our stay unforgettable. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return one day.
