The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore

We went to the restaurant at The Oberoi Vanyavilas without staying at the resort. The setting is pleasant and the food was passable nice—but I’m leaving this review as a value warning. The set-menu pricing is communicated upfront when you book, so this isn’t about hidden charges. The problem is what you get for the money. At roughly €200 for two, you expect something genuinely special—either outstanding food, a memorable “destination restaurant” experience, or at least a clear sense of premium value. We got none of that. It felt like a normal “nice high end hotel meal” with nothing particularly distinctive. Also, as a non-guest, you don’t experience the resort itself just by dining—so you’re paying luxury resort pricing without receiving a luxury resort experience. If the set menu were about half the price, I’d call it a perfectly nice meal and fair value for a high end. At the current price, I would not recommend coming here just for dinner as a non hitel guest .

The Oberoi Vanyavilas takes hospitality to a whole new level. The property has a beautiful rustic charm in the setting of a forest…each tent is designed for a luxury glamping experience. But what leaves you in awe is how every single employee here, takes care of their guest. This starts from their General Manager Sameer, who came to greet us personally as soon as we arrived and checked on us multiple times and bid us good bye when we left the resort. Such leadership sets a tone to the rest of the team, who executed flawlessly. They did a wonderful job celebrating my husband’s birthday with so many surprises throughout our stay. Some team members that absolutely stood out : Restaurant - Yogesh, Ms.Joshi and Chef Atharva who cooked a fantastic Rajasthani thali for us, which was not even on the menu! Spa - Saloni, Puii and Elizabeth Naturalist - Aarya. The absolute best housekeeping team who took care of our smallest needs. The jungle safari booked thru the resort is the best way to experience the forest and national park. The entire experience here felt like a wellness retreat, pure relaxation along with the thrill of a wildlife safari. We can’t wait to return!

From the moment we arrived, the serene resort ambience enveloped us completely & staying in the super luxurious, spacious and thoughtfully designed tents was purely magical.The Royal Tent experience instantly became the highlight of our trip. It blew us away and turned an already special holiday into the most memorable one we could have imagined.However what truly sets Vanyavilas apart, is the extraordinary team.Each and every member is always smiling, genuinely happy, and eager to fulfill every request – no matter how small.They pampered us silly from start to finish, making us feel less like guests and more like cherished family.An emotional bond formed so naturally that leaving felt bittersweet. Our heartfelt gratitude to every member who made our stay so special: We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and deep appreciation for everyone at Vanyavilas. Thank you for taking such beautiful care of us. We will carry this experience with us for a long time and cannot wait to return.

Our stay at The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambore was extraordinary, but what truly sets this property apart is not merely its beautiful setting. It is its people. The service across every department, from the front desk and food and beverage to housekeeping, concierge, spa, and bar, was genuinely above and beyond. This is a team that doesn’t simply go the extra mile to make you comfortable. They make the experience so warm, intuitive, and personal that you feel thoroughly pampered, almost like royalty. Luxury can be created through beautiful surroundings, but true hospitality comes from people, and Vanyavilas has mastered that distinction. One experience in particular captured the spirit of this hotel. During our stay, we both fell ill with a rather unpleasant stomach bug. The care we received was remarkable. The kitchen immediately prepared meals appropriate for our condition, while the front desk arranged the medications we needed. It wasn’t simply service. It was genuine TLC. Their thoughtfulness helped us get back on our feet within a day. Housekeeping was equally exceptional. Every detail was attended to, but what touched us most were the beautiful handwritten calligraphy messages left for us each day on a leaf. Such a simple gesture, yet incredibly personal and memorable. The spa was another highlight. The warmth, professionalism, and skill of the team transformed a spa treatment into a genuinely wonderful experience. The food, bar service, and overall attentiveness throughout our stay were equally outstanding. What impressed us most was the consistency. Exceptional hospitality was not confined to one department or one interaction. It permeated the entire property. That rarely happens without strong leadership, and the senior management was visibly present, engaged with guests, and clearly leading by example. There are hotels where you remember the room, the food, or the surroundings. And then there are rare places where you remember how the people made you feel. The Oberoi Vanyavilas is emphatically the latter. Thank you somehow feels inadequate. You made us feel cared for, celebrated, and thoroughly spoiled. You turned our stay into a dream come true and an experience we will remember for years.
