The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore

Where to start when trying to describe that magic that is a stay at the Oberoi Vanyavilas.  There is a lush and restorative resort setting, the amazingly comfortable and peaceful tents, the close location for forest drives or an evening in town, the wonderful experiences available at the resort, the list is endless but what is at the top of it is the above and beyondness of the so lovely Ratna (GM) and her team of tireless and ever smiling staff.  They are what make this a holiday to remember (every single time we stay there!) especially for my Mother, who was on her first holiday to India and Ranthambhore.  Every single minute was perfect, she had the time of her life, made so many brilliant memories, among them the cooking lesson, thank you to the chef and Gaurav for making it such fun, 5 tiger sightings on one drive, the fantastic spa treatments, the outside dining and sharing time in the private pool (what's not to love, a room with a pool!) and the attentiveness of the staff.  Staying with Oberoi Group is a first-class experience but the Vanyavilas is their shining star.  We cannot thank everyone enough for an outstanding stay.

We recently stayed at Oberoi Vanya Vilas with our family, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attention from the team stood out — a special mention to Sandhya, Manvendra, Hitesh, Saksham (chef), Aditya, Yogesh, Sameer and Priya (naturalists), and Lakshmi & Shruti (child activity coordinators). Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful, never mechanical. The F&B team curated meals exactly to our taste, which made a huge difference, especially while traveling with a child. The food was exceptional throughout — both in quality and personalization. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was the experience created for our 4-year-old. The hat-making activity with Lakshmi and Shruti was delightful — simple, engaging, and something we’ll remember for a long time. It’s rare to see such genuine effort put into making children feel included. The property itself is stunning — serene, beautifully maintained, and designed to give you a true luxury-in-the-wild experience. Our tented villa was extremely comfortable, with a lovely private patio that became our favorite spot to unwind. The safari experience was equally incredible. The team thoughtfully packed meals for us, and we were fortunate enough to spot a tiger on two consecutive days — something that made the trip even more special. What truly sets Vanya Vilas apart is the consistency of service — attentive without being intrusive, personalized without being forced. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. Would absolutely recommend it for families looking for a luxurious yet meaningful getaway.
