Great hospitality from one and all at the resort . There are only 20 odd tents so do book in advance. The food is great . The Service one of the best I have witnessed. The people are well trained . Loved it. Can soak in the pool after being dirty with the jungle open SUB trips .

It’s so difficult to add to the reviews here as they do say it all. This hotel is very, very special. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with service to rival and in many ways surpass the very best the World hotels have to offer. The service is also very warm and personalised without being over the top or ‘fussy’ which is a difficult balance to strike. It’s unique, a ‘safari’ hotel with fantastic ‘tents’, spacious, well thought and luxurious. We investigated the make of mattress and topper as the bed was so comfortable! The greeting and farewell was the best I have had in any hotel, anywhere and we’ve travelled extensively in Asia in some of the best hotels. Great spa treatments, personalised touches (my husband was delighted by his gift to clean his camera equipment after the game drives) and oh the food, delicious, we love our food and we ate from the Indian menu every night and it always surpassed our expectations. The property is managed by Ratna who is clearly passionate about delivering the very best to her guests. They don’t miss a thing and should be very proud of this one of a kind luxury hotel. Do not hesitate to book this very special hotel. Thank you to all the staff for once in a lifetime memories and yes, we saw the majestic tiger.....

From the moment we arrived we had a royal welcome! Staff are beyond excellent and were incredibly helpful & friendly- nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are truly wonderful. I will never forget the peacocks in our garden or the flurry of parakeets swooping between the trees or the vivifying brightness of the bougainvillea. The tents are superlative, supremely comfortable. The beds in all of the oberoi hotels were so comfortable and the pillow menu a genius idea- we loved the goose down so much that I have bought some! I almost feel teary when I think of our stay here- some of the happiest days of my life. Thankyou oberoi!

I am writing this before leaving the hotel while I am still deeply intoxicated by the sounds, sights and smells of this fabulous hotel. We booked four nights and I can't imagine any less. Peacocks, parakeets, and gorgeous flowers, along with air that is redolent of sweet figs and jasmine scented bushes, are a backdrop to the assault on one's senses. Who isn't charmed by peacocks dropping from trees into your private garden? We did not see tigers on our one drive but could have gone for more drives to increase the probability if we were prepared to leave our oasis (which we weren't as it was too wonderful). The staff, overseen by the charming general manager Ratna Malhotra, are consummate professionals with the grace and skill one would expect at an Oberoi. They do justice to the world's top hotel brand. While I don't want to give out all the surprises, and each person's experience will differ in small ways, the staff are very conscious of each guest and make sure even unspoken desires are looked after. In my case, apparently the staff noticed I was often out looking at birds on the property. I found a personal note in my room with a booklet on common birds which was very much appreciated. Each day there was something that showed us this type of individual attention was prioritized. This is what elevates a true 5 star hotel. A note on the food. What was highly commendable was that every item on the plate was perfectly prepared at every meal, including accompaniments, many of which were sourced from the hotel garden. I particularly enjoyed the Indian breakfast sampler which included three selections and condiments. Excellent! I had thought this was a one time trip but the experience of these few days has changed my thinking. I could easily come back and just stay on these beautiful grounds for at least a week. I love the birdsong orchestra, the 'fig-air', and the stunning colours of the lush foliage. I love the service. I love this hotel. I highly recommend a stay in one of the luxurious air-conditioned 'tents'.

The Oberoi Vanyavilas is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Ranthambhore. This was our second stay there -10 years apart. We love the place. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. The hotel’s restaurants are really good - A+. The people there are all so friendly and seem always to want to help make your stay wonderful. We saw six tigers in Ranthambhore. Six tigers and a great stay at the Oberoi! That’s a winner.
