The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore

The real strength of Vanyavilas is its people. The level of service here is world-leading, and the team has it mastered to the tee. Every interaction was warm, attentive and natural, and it's what elevates this resort from lovely to exceptional. A few names deserve special thanks: Pratham, Ritik, Kipa, Bina, Sandhya, little Sandhya, and Shubham, who all made our stay memorable, and Sameer, the General Manager, whose leadership clearly shapes the culture of the whole team. Shubham in particular helped us arrange our safaris, even though we ultimately chose a non-hotel option on cost grounds. He was gracious and helpful throughout, which says a lot about the team's attitude. The tents are lovely and very comfortable. The resort itself is wonderfully chilled and relaxing, and we loved lounging by the pool. The food is excellent, with varied choices, and even if something isn't on the menu, they'll happily make it for you. The evening entertainment is a real highlight. The qawwali singers were fantastic and made for a memorable atmosphere after dark. We did two safaris and didn't see a tiger, which we put down to luck rather than anything else. We still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Two areas for improvement, which matter for a resort of this standing: 1) Insects. There were too many, even inside the room. For a property at this level, this needs attention. 2) The spa. It has only four treatment rooms, and the steam in my room broke down on one of the days. This isn't unique to Vanyavilas, and it's an area where Indian luxury hotels often fall short of their wider standards. A resort of this stature deserves a more substantial, better equipped spa that's fit for purpose. These points aside, this is a superb resort which I’d recommend to all, and the people are what make it special.

We went to the restaurant at The Oberoi Vanyavilas without staying at the resort. The setting is pleasant and the food was passable nice—but I’m leaving this review as a value warning. The set-menu pricing is communicated upfront when you book, so this isn’t about hidden charges. The problem is what you get for the money. At roughly €200 for two, you expect something genuinely special—either outstanding food, a memorable “destination restaurant” experience, or at least a clear sense of premium value. We got none of that. It felt like a normal “nice high end hotel meal” with nothing particularly distinctive. Also, as a non-guest, you don’t experience the resort itself just by dining—so you’re paying luxury resort pricing without receiving a luxury resort experience. If the set menu were about half the price, I’d call it a perfectly nice meal and fair value for a high end. At the current price, I would not recommend coming here just for dinner as a non hitel guest .

The Oberoi Vanyavilas takes hospitality to a whole new level. The property has a beautiful rustic charm in the setting of a forest…each tent is designed for a luxury glamping experience. But what leaves you in awe is how every single employee here, takes care of their guest. This starts from their General Manager Sameer, who came to greet us personally as soon as we arrived and checked on us multiple times and bid us good bye when we left the resort. Such leadership sets a tone to the rest of the team, who executed flawlessly. They did a wonderful job celebrating my husband’s birthday with so many surprises throughout our stay. Some team members that absolutely stood out : Restaurant - Yogesh, Ms.Joshi and Chef Atharva who cooked a fantastic Rajasthani thali for us, which was not even on the menu! Spa - Saloni, Puii and Elizabeth Naturalist - Aarya. The absolute best housekeeping team who took care of our smallest needs. The jungle safari booked thru the resort is the best way to experience the forest and national park. The entire experience here felt like a wellness retreat, pure relaxation along with the thrill of a wildlife safari. We can’t wait to return!

From the moment we arrived, the serene resort ambience enveloped us completely & staying in the super luxurious, spacious and thoughtfully designed tents was purely magical.The Royal Tent experience instantly became the highlight of our trip. It blew us away and turned an already special holiday into the most memorable one we could have imagined.However what truly sets Vanyavilas apart, is the extraordinary team.Each and every member is always smiling, genuinely happy, and eager to fulfill every request – no matter how small.They pampered us silly from start to finish, making us feel less like guests and more like cherished family.An emotional bond formed so naturally that leaving felt bittersweet. Our heartfelt gratitude to every member who made our stay so special: We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and deep appreciation for everyone at Vanyavilas. Thank you for taking such beautiful care of us. We will carry this experience with us for a long time and cannot wait to return.
