Reviews for The Oberoi Vanyavilas
Oberoi stands on top for hospitality and this hotel proves the statement perfectly. No corner unturned in their service. From welcome to food to our room...everything was so well organised that I didn't wanted to come back. Amazing is the word for the staff. General manager, house keeping staff, restaurant staff, naturist, and everyone else is the best picked out of the industry. Thanku vanyavillas for the loveliest experience of my life. Now a little about the property.- Huge widely spread property with gyms, yoga centers, observation tower etc. They have activities going all the day like nature walk, yoga etc...so u don't get bored there. Special arranged for dinners and breakfast so u feel like non less than a VIP guest. Most importantly...they took such a great care of my baby. This is the first property who treated her as a third guest and not a complimentary kid. Loved every inch of my stay. Hope to visit this property again in future. Thanku oberoi's.
We can highly recommend this de luxe Tent -haven. The General Manager Mrs Malhotra and her staff made this Oberoi stay a real pleasant experience. Even though we missed seeing a Tiger,we were not at all disappointed with the other activities, the ambiance of this peaceful pleace and the excellent Restaurant. They go beyond the usual Hotel service and you can feel that all of them care. Also thanks to the Head Naturalist Sandesh, who gave a most interesting insight to all the Parks in India. We visited 5 so far,but this is the most luxurious.

Oberoi have constructed the most amazing hotel close by the entrance to the Ranthambhore National Park and it is excellently managed by their General Manager - Ratna Malhotra - who along with her staff make your stay a very memorable experience. We arrived by car after a long car journey from Udaipur via Chittorgagh and were welcomed in the traditional Indian manner - rose petals, garlands, music, the bindi, warm towel and a welcoming drink. We and our baggage were quickly transported to our luxurious tent - if tent is the correct description. It comprised a beautifully comfortable large four-poster bed, a well appointed lounge area with ample seating and a large modern bathroom and wardrobe area with an amazing shower room and free standing bath. There were all the facilities expected of a 5 star + hotel. The tent or villa stands independently in its own footprint amid beautifully maintained grounds. It was only a short walk to the main building. It took 5 minutes along a paved and shingle pathway but it was a joy to walk past the colours of the plants, shrubs and trees listening to the birds. We would strongly recommend taking a walk around the hotel grounds with the in-house horticulturist - a lovely and knowledgeable fellow - who took us on an hour's walk outlining the fauna and flora of Vanyavilas and including a climb up the Watch Tower and a circuit of the Kitchen Gardens. The central building includes the main lobby, where I was lent a computer to take my emails; a quiet and comfortable Library Bar that has an interesting collection of books on the local wild life; a small shop that contains a very good selection of quality clothing; and the restaurant. We took all our meals in the outdoor section called the Fire Pit for the obvious reason that its central feature is a fire. We loved the food and service here. We had some of our best meals during our Indian holiday in this restaurant. The menu is extensive - both Indian and International food - and the chef and waiters take a genuine interest in insuring that you receive exactly what you wanted. Our breakfast here were outstanding helped probably by the fact that we had just returned from a game drive. The hotel provides a range of complementary activities and our one disappointment was that our stay was too short and busy to make use of the fantastic swimming pool. The main purpose of our stay was, however, to visit the National Park with the hope that we would see a tiger. This we achieved. The hotel organised our three game drives - two in the morning from 6:45 to 10:00 - we were kindly given tea, biscuits and cake before our departure when we were given blankets and hot water bottles to protect us from the early morning chill and one afternoon drive from 1:45 to 5:30. These were excellent and we enjoyed travelling around the Park in a six seat Murutti jeep with an excellent knowledgeable guide. One of the highlights of our stay was our return from the game drive each morning when we were given the privilege and the joy of meeting Lakshmi, the hotel's resident elephant who is a much loved and charming member of the hotel staff. We departed Vanyavilas for Agra feeling sad that we had not been able to extend our stay. We left with very happy memories, presents and the fond farewells of the staff who were excellent throughout our stay and even wanting to provide us with a picnic to stave off hunger during our onward journey. Present at our departure and omnipresent through our stay was the remarkable Ratna who manages by example.

Really had an awesome time at the property, excellent hospitality, very Happy to meet so dedicated staff, special kudus to GM Ratna Malhotra for leading by example š©āš³ Ravi Shukla was simply superb , infact its the only place where we didnāt ordered any specific food but left to the chef to serve us his creations
Ratna and her team make this 'glamping' experience a joy. I commend the service, the accommodation, landscape and general ambiance. We stayed here as part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip to India with Abercrombie & Kent (personalised private tour) and we were very pleased with every aspect. My husband enjoyed two Jeep tours with a guide and driver, and I accompanied him on one afternoon trip. The national park is amazing and seeing the tigers, sloth bears, birds and so on in their natural habitat and interacting with each other is fascinating. One tiger padded by our Jeep within a few feet, with a glance at us but quite at ease! I also enjoyed an Elephant Experience with Lakshmi and her carers - lots of good work is done here with animals. Loved the little touches (such as a picnic pack with gorgeous Banana Bread prepared for our next car trip) and perceptions about us as the guests - we were made to feel very welcome! The morning breakfasts and dinners in the open courtyard were great - along with the music. Go up the Observation Tower and tour the garden too! Thank you Ratna and the team. Mr and Mrs Mackay
