We went on a "Sunday Funday" reservation. We had a great time....we loved the property, we walked all around and just took it all in. We had a great brunch at Mar'sel, and a wonderful breakfast at Catalina Kitchen the next day. We found most of the employees to be extremely friendly and helpful. There were a few misteps though. My husband checked us in...he was not offered champagne...and, he was only given one booklet of Sunday Funday cards...which we thought was odd...thinking "why would we just get one drink, or one appetizer"....we did not realize it was a mistake until the morning we were leaving. Also, we waited a long time for anyone to come and take any kind of drink or food orders at Nelsons, and we are pretty patient people. We loved the food at Mar'sel (Brisket Benedict) and also at Catalina Kitchen (Short rib Benedict....amazing!!). I did go to the Lobby check in area to say we were not offered anything at check in and Krystal not only gave us our champagne but because it was our 35th wedding anniversary, gave us a bottle of champagne! She was wonderful. Another wonderful employee was Giselle in the Catalina Kitchen....smiling and super friendly! Good employees! Overall, we had a lovely time....but darn, with only one packet of Sunday Funday tickets we only get one chance in the drawing for a free night.

Celebrating my 55th birthday and retirement after 27 years of service. Loved the food and atmosphere! The staff are attentive and very nice. They aim to please the customer at this location. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

We were looking for a relaxing lazy day spent in our room/balcony, but were not able to due to a loud van parked outside (cleaning carpets), for nearly 5 hours. Took away any tranquil vibe we had looked forward to on a Saturday-weekend getaway. The food-restaurants were great, though.

Spent 4 days at this resort in early December. We had perfect weather, the beautiful setting, and great food - what more could you ask? In a special surprise we were upgraded to one of the Bungalow units down near Nelson's. It had a beautiful spacious deck and two fireplaces. The bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept on. We had melas at Nelson's, Catalina, Sea Beans, and the Chef's Table experience at Mar'sel. All the outlets were top notch in service and food quality.

I came with my husband for a peaceful getaway, but the patrons in the spa were the loudest I've ever experienced in that type of setting. I was shocked that both staff and patrons were speaking at full volume in the locker rooms and in the meditative spaces. I found it impossible to relax having to listen to other people's conversations. Also, every meal we ordered from the spa restaurant came with moldy berries!
