Reviews for Terranea Resort
The views and trails are lovely. A bit remote- all amenities are on property. Asked numerous times to get keys, fireplace fixed - they did get fixed. I never had hot water in sink- at least 4 times requested and was told it would get fixed- never offered a discount or explanation. For price paid- feel unacceptable
Went to the Terranea spa cafe as the regular breakfast spot only had Sunday brunch and I didn’t need that much food. The spa cafe is a little bit of a secret. They have a great but limited menu that is healthy so that is good for me. I got avocado toast and my mom got a custom omelet. It was a sunny jan day and we sat outside and I was going to get sunburnt in 60 degree weather but they brought out sunscreen (spa type) which was nice. View was incredible and food was awesome I’ll be back.

Ocean front room was beautiful and relaxing...except that they lost our luggage for 3 hours! Property is excellent for walking and lounging around. Resteraunts are good, though 35% overpriced. Overall a great stay but beware of trusting the valets!

Nice drink at Nelson's after a busy work day. The outdoor seating area had a pretty view of ocean, but smelled like 'raw sewage.' Wait person friendly, but had to go 'fetch her' to pay bill, get change. Drink tasty, but when outdoor heaters/fans up above my head went on....they made a very loud....continual noise like a machine gun.....that continued on and on and on (had to ask 2x to have machine turned off...as it ruined ambience.) Otherwise, pretty coastal area.

It was our first time to CA. We stayed at the resort because our company, Valley, was having 3 days meetings there. We did go early and stay later for a total of 9 days at the resort. We stayed on the main lobby floor (4th). Our room was nice. My husband loved the big tub. We enjoyed Sea Bean a lot. lol! The valet, lobby and house keeping staff was very friendly. The service twice when we went to the Catalina was very slow and every few people in there and once after 15 minutes of no service we did leave. The food was great all both times we ate in there even though the menu selection were less than desirable for me. The buffet food was good and even though they were really busy the service was great that night. The room service was great! Even though they forgot sugar for the fruit tray it was quickly brought to us. The extra things that we asked for upon arrival like hangers were brought to us quickly. House keeping was always very sweet even though several times we were in the room when they stopped by to clean so they always came back when we were out. Oh and let me express my great appreciation to the house keeping for always putting the iron and ironing board back up into the closet for us. You have no idea how many times I have come back in other places I have stayed and the board was still in the way. I normally am in a hurry when I iron our clothes in the room and we just put clothes on and rush out so this is always an important thing to me if I don't have time to put back in closet or it's place and they did put both back in place every day that I left it out. Thank you and it was greatly appreciated!!! We always had plenty of towels as well and that is sometimes an issue at places. I hate to ask for extra towels to be brought to us. I have to say our overall experience was great! It was a beautiful place to stay.
