This hotel is very beautiful and the grounds are immaculate. I was there for a conference and their catering staff was outstanding. They get a 5 stars for the hotel itself but their customer service is lacking for the price you pay for the hotel. We had 4 of us signed up for the conference but one person had to cancel due to personal reasons. We were penalized for one night because they required a 7 day notice. We cancelled with 5 days noticed. My complaint to the manager was that you could have been more lenient since we still have 3 others staying 2 nights there and one room was an upgraded suite. He sad he would call my cell or email me as soon as he can. Stopped by the next night at the front desk and they said they would follow also and I made sure they had my correct info. She promised me also they would contact me. At this price level of a hotel I’m expecting stellar service even if they won’t softened up the rules for my company. If you promised twice that you will follow up and least follow through with it. As I mentioned it is a beautiful 5 star hotel. They just need to align their customer service to that high level of standards and be a little more lenient on a 7 day cancellation rule.

Overprice for what you get. We were expecting a pristine resort hotel but what you get is not. For $800/night, you expect them to change your sheets daily or at least every other day. Some hotels give you the option to save the environment by putting a card on the bed but this hotel doesn't have that and should have a weighing scale and provide you with slippers. It has broken and loose tiles on the main terrace. Broken umbrellas at the sea side cliff bar which needs better maintenance. The front desk attendants are cold as if you are in a budget hotel.

I traveled during the off-season and got upgraded to an unobstructed ocean view room, so the bar has been set a little high for any future visits. The hotel and rooms are very clean and I experienced nothing but exceptional service from all staff members - whether the resort shops, restaurants or other service members.
