I enjoyed every aspect of Terranea. I the service proved to me was excellent. The restaurants were great and the grounds were wonderful. I enjoyed the sunset at Nelsons and a great dinner at Mar'sel. I would recommend the place to all of my friends

Had a great trip with the family and even went to Disney two days while the resort. Great place for that as you avoid the craziness of staying on Disney property and only 40 minutes away. We loved the resort and definitely will be back.

As a local it’s my favorite hangout! Make sure and say hello to Jillian & bartenders that go beyond most others elsewhere. Enjoy the people, great views of Catalina Island and sea cliffs with lighthouse.

This Resort is beyond fantastic, the Bungalos are a superior experience, plush furishings, big bathrooms and spectacular Views. We have been to many Five Star Hotels and Resorts and this is by far at the very top of our list. Lush surrondings, quiet comfort and great Ocean views. We didn't want to leave.

My husband surprised me with a long weekend getaway for my birthday. This is a beautiful property, but our stay was disappointing. The property is HUGE and extremely spread out. Lots of hills and steps. My husband has issues with walking and this property was not very accommodating for such. The different pools, restaurants, etc are all on different levels, lots of stairs, there are ramps, but it is still a great deal of walking with no options to get to the locations otherwise. We saw people riding in golf carts, but not sure who they were. If this was an option for getting around for those who have trouble doing so, we were never informed of that. So, as a consequence, we never went to those places. The "nice" restaurant is very strange to get to. You have to walk out the front door of the hotel, through the parking lot, around the building, and then there is a very small sign with confusing arrows to get you to the front door. We missed that little sign and ended up walking way too far. The sad thing is, it is located right off the main pool, you just can't get to it from there. Makes absolutely no sense! The room we were assigned was overlooking the main pool. Lots of kids and families having a great time. That's all well and good, but we were there for a romantic weekend, having left our kids at home. Did not enjoy listening to others all hours of the day and night. We ordered room service one night, ONE cheeseburger, 2 soft drinks, nothing else, was $60 after service fees, delivery, etc. $60!!! On the plus side, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was really nice. The location of the property is really kind of strange too. It's kind of in the middle of no where, not easy to get to, and not very convenient to any restaurants, entertainment, activities. On one side you have to go through the Long Beach shipping district, on the other side is mainly residential areas with small streets. If you live in LA and are looking for a family get away, this might be the place for you, if you have lots of money to spare. But if you are looking for a romantic getaway from other parts of the country, I would look elsewhere.
