Not thrilled with our room location but would definitely return with a specific request for a room away from pool and any scheduled events. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one.

The most beautiful place in Southern California! Harold at reservations was a gem! Check in is a lovely experience with champagne and you can't beat Nelson's for a sunset. I only wish the Cielo Pool truly did not let kids in, there is a wonderful pool for kids and the Cielo should be for adults over 18.

We came here as the last stop on a So Cal vacation. We paid for an ocean front room and were not disappointed. The rooms are well appointed, there are lots of food options, plenty of pool choices, there is a great gym and spa, and you just cannot beat the views. A couple of meals tasted a little cruise-ish in that the fish wasn't fresh one night and the very expensive Sunday brunch buffet tasted more like Denny's than the Ritz but it was more expensive than the Ritz. The service was excellent the entire time. The resort is well located. It's close to plenty of stores and some great tourist locations. I definitely recommend going to see the Wayfarer's Chapel. If you want a couple's weekend getaway or need somewhere to take the family for a few days this is definitely the place.

Staying at Terranea Resort, is like visiting another world! Although, we live no more than 30 minutes away....this is where I choose to spend my vacation. The property is so beautiful! And of course, there is nothing like waking up looking at the Pacific Ocean.

Visited Terranea resort to celebrate a family birthday. The resort is beautifully maintained, the grounds are lovely and the service was exceptional. Our room, however, was average, considering the price. Valet parking is required and there is a resort fee. Had dinner and brunch at the Catalina Kitchen. The service exceeded our expectations and the food was wonderful and reasonably priced. Would give it 5 stars if the room had been more luxurious. Also, there was an overcharge on our bill, which was resolved after we brought it to the hotel's attention. But yes, I'd definitely go back.
