Terranea Resort

I was so happy to arrive at Terranea during daylight hours because the view as you approach is spectacular. The rest of my stay was equally wonderful. The valet team was top notch: super friendly and efficient. Although there was often a bit of a wait at the front desk, the staff were personable, accommodating and willing to go beyond what was merely necessary to help. I was there for a business conference, and the meeting facilities were modern and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and beautiful views to enjoy between presentations. It was an appreciated touch to have branded pens and paper available on the desks, too. I was also delightfully surprised by the quality of the conference meals: two breakfasts, two lunches and a cocktail reception. Everything was fresh and flavorful, with plenty of variety, including multiple salads, vegetables and proteins. The desserts were worth being a little naughty! The catering team was cheerful and helpful, and everything was refreshed promptly. It all felt so welcoming. I didn’t get to spend nearly enough time enjoying my room, but I loved the modern bathroom, gigantic tub and cozy slippers. The bed was very comfortable, with crisp, clean sheets and a fluffy comforter. Even the pillows seemed perfectly cool on both sides! My only issue was a lamp that completely stumped me. I couldn’t find a switch on the cord, pole or base, or under the shade. I eventually unscrewed the bulb and had to laugh at being outsmarted by a lamp. With such a full conference schedule, I had zero time to explore the grounds, which felt like a terrible shame with the ocean and golf course right there. I’ll be back soon for a romantic getaway, with plenty of time to enjoy it all and absolutely no work!

Very nice hotel, great location, but I wish they would just make the room charge all-in. Parking is $75 and tips go to the individual ( so I have to tip and find cash everytime I arrive or leave - for the not optional valet parking) room attendants charge $9 a day, Guests do not expect a deal if they are paying $500 plus per night, but it feels at times like you are seen as revenue, not a guest, I would prefer a room rate that is inclusive, and if I want to tip then I can without feeling like I am shorting somebody. Might be unique to me and it is a great location, nice resort and very good customer service.

Amazing weekend getaway. Comfortable room, beautiful scenery, friendly staff. We visited Nelson’s twice and were attended to by Tabitha. She was very attentive, personally made sure my 87 year old dad was comfortable and checked in with us very often. The food was yummy. The service was perfect!

Location is excellent everything else is meh. Rooms are old and tired. There is no air conditioning in the hallways and it is a long twisty walk to rooms. Housekeeping is sparse. We spent three days with messy rooms. They never came to clean until it was time to get ready for dinner. Had to call and walk down to the desk to get towels refreshed and housekeeping never checked the containers in the bathroom and they were empty. No one communicates with the other departments. We had to walk down to desk to ask for towels ( you can’t ask housekeeping yourself) three hours later we had to ask AGAIN. Pool area is dirty. The staff lets empty cups and food sit all day. Wind blows the cups all over the pool deck. Plates of unfinished food sat out all day. Wet towels sit on chairs with no one in them- no one cleans them up. Not really a 5 or even 4 star resort. Customer service and attention to detail is not very good. You can get a better experience and customer service elsewhere.

The hotel, spa, restaurant, and views were absolutely beautiful. Everything felt very relaxing and well taken care of. The Latino staff were especially kind and welcoming, and the service was incredible. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.
