My family stayed there for 2 night to celebrate my birthday and we had one of the best experiences. The property is very beautiful and the shoreline are amazing. However, you do not have to stay there to access the views and shore. Staying there made access to those view easy and in style. The adult pool has amazing location. I have 2 kids so I did not utilize it. I spent hours at family pool. the water are heated very warm and so kids were able to enjoy swimming in upper 60 to low 70 degrees weather. Almost all the staff are super friendly and energetic. They are also a good looking bunch. From the front desk to our Bellman who looks like a hunky actor. We did not leave the property and ate all our meals there. The food was very good and obvious the price reflect its high end location. However, I have to say, compare to other high end restaurants I have been to, the portions are quite generous. My wife met the head Chef Chef David of Catalina and he made my birthday dinner there very memorable. The people that stay there are very friendly and overall has a very friendly family feel. I did not access the spa there but it looks amazing and has its own pool. The only somewhat negative thing is that there is no beach there. the shore are rocky and can't really swim. The hotel took us to a beach at Trump's golf course where the beach is still not sand but it is made up of small pebbles and kids are able to have fun.

The villas are large and comfortable, and built with very nice materials. However, there were small things throughout that were just a little off. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way (the barn-stall slider, it left a gap), and the back door stuck when opening and closing. The bathroom trim was poorly installed. I'll admit I'm pickier than most when it comes to finish work on construction that purports to be high-end. For me, its the little things that indicate highest quality. The good news is there were no big things to distract me from the minor blemishes. At the price of this resort, I expected everything to be perfect, but the fact is it wasn't. The service was excellent, though, and I had a very nice time at the resort. The bed was comfortable, as was the other furniture, and everything in the house worked (though I must admit I didn't try the hot tub). If you have to have the room dark to sleep, you may want to request additional blackout curtains, as the window coverings in the bedroom did not block the light out well.

Did an internet search looking for a place to take the family on a spring break trip and came across Terranea. So glad I found it because the view/location of the grounds were unbelievable. Super friendly staff.

This was my second trip to Terranea for business, and it was just as outstanding as my first trip. The resort staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed in a casita with a view of the ocean, which was incredible for the moments between working sessions when I needed a break.
