Friendly staff and great views. I was there for a short time and asked to use the steam room for a short period of time. I was told there was an additional $40 fee. That was not reasonable based on the existing resort fee, price of the room and is not consistent with my stays at similar properties in the region, namely Pelican Hill and Montage which did not charge a fee.

This place was amazing and a great get away from all the stress in life. From when you first arrive staff make you feel welcome. The views and grounds were amazing and very relaxing to walk along. Only a short drive away to many tide pools and uncrowded beaches. Family loved it...

The property is absolutely stunning! You feel like you are in the rolling hills of Italy! The staff is very warm and accommodating. This is truly an elegant resort but they are not "stuffy." Business travelers, families and dogs are all welcomed. There is something to make everyone feel special, whether you are single, a couple or married with kids.

I stayed one night at Terranea this week for a work function. I checked in at 4pm (stated check in time) and my room was not ready. I stood there for 15 minutes holding my bags while she tried to find me another room. No apologies, and she repeatedly said how it was harder to find rooms for 1-night stays (so apparently it was my fault they did not have a room for me at the states time). I was finally rewarded for my patience with a parking lot view room and no apology. Then an hour later i tried calling the concierge to book dinner and it rang 50 times w no answer. called the restaurant directly and it rang 50 times with no answer. An elevator was out of service making for long wait times. Dinner also had service issues. 20 mins to get a drink, 20 mins to bring check after asked, twice food brought to us that was for a different table. there were several minor room issues (doors and electrical outlets not working). finally while this is more structural than service, the gym at 7am was so packed there was not a single machine available. A couple of times when we experienced an issue the hotel explained how "full" the hotel was. Apparently they only expect to deliver good service at 50 pct occupancy rates. This is a beautiful location but having originally thought I might return with my family for a vacation I would never do so. This is a hotel that really does not pay attention to details or service which I expect for $500-$1000 per night.

Talk about a home-away-from home!! This resort made our trip one of a kind. The staff was great, room was spotless and smelled fresh. (Smell is a deal breaker for me) We were there on leisure and will be sure to return.
