Reviews for Terranea Resort
Overall it was a great experience. Thank you for upgrading us to the Shearwater Suite. We enjoyed our stay and the food at the Catalina was fabulous. The music in the lobby bar was very nice and we always enjoy the fire in the fireplace.
The resort was great but the service on this visit was horrible. My wife and I spend a lot of time and money at Terranea and this past visit was he worst! We stayed for a 3 day weekend for our anniversary and both left upset and disappointed!
The location is spectacular, the property is beautiful and the food is very good! Worthwhile to come for a weekend away, or even just brunch! We love it here, and will continue to come back again and again!

Our daughter's wedding venue last weekend was nearby, so we arranged for a block of rooms at Terranea for the out-of-town guests and even though we live in the area, decided to also stay at the hotel. I had no idea just how special the hotel is -- the scenery, the facilities, the rooms were all top notch. We sponsored a golf tournament for our guests on the par three course on the grounds -- the course got accolades from all the players and the staff was terrific. There are lots of swimming pools, some adults only, a well equipped fitness center and good hiking in the vicinity. The hotel has many food options with a range of formality. We stayed in one of the casitas -- our room was spacious, comfortable bed, nice ocean view. Each floor of the casitas had a nice outdoor sitting area with fireplace. The grounds are well maintained. We've stayed in fine resorts in a lot of vacation destinations and Terranea stacks up well. Yes, as one reviewer noted, it is expensive -- the resort fee, the food, the parking -- so, come prepared to splurge. I have only one minor criticism, a personal pet peeve: like many hotels these days, the hotel is dog friendly.

Beautiful resort, service and amenities do not disappoint. I can't wait to go back! Everything exceeded my expectations. Went for a girls weekend but next time I'll bring the hubby for a romantic getaway.
