Staycation
The location and ambiance is magical. We had a wonderful stay. Food and beverage, pool experience (spa pool is our favorite) and room was wonderful. Staff were friendly. Excellent value for a staycation. We will be back!

An Extraordinary Coastal Escape
My stay at Terranea was extraordinary. From the spectacular ocean views and incredibly comfortable rooms to the outstanding cuisine across every restaurant I visited, this resort truly is the perfect getaway. I stayed in a Casita, and the experience was lovely. Every part of the property is beautifully maintained—from the scenic coastal trails to the stunning grounds—and it was easy to slow down, reconnect with nature, and simply enjoy the beauty of the coastline. I also appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail throughout the resort. Even the gift shops were beautifully curated, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re visiting for a conference, a getaway with friends, a romantic escape, or a wellness retreat, Terranea offers something special. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already looking forward to returning. It’s truly an exceptional place.

Tabitha was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, patient, accommodating, and had such a warm, positive disposition. Everyone in our group loved her. I rarely write restaurant reviews, but Tabitha truly deserves the recognition. She made our experience at Nelson’s especially enjoyable! Also, the food was fantastic- so fresh! Our group of 4 we had seafood Cobb salad, lobster roll, brisket sandwich, and burger with fries.

Grace provided absolutely wonderful service at the Terranea Lobby Bar. She was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our visit. Her positive attitude and genuine care made the experience feel special and memorable. Great service is about more than just meeting expectations—it’s about making guests feel valued, and Grace did exactly that. She is a true asset to Terranea, and we hope to see her again during our next visit!

Horrible terrible beyond
My partner got hot tub foliculitis from the pool and jacuzzi. The staff never helped us even though they said they would put us in touch with insurance. Within a few hours of going in the pool, he was covered in boils from head to toe and suffered with skin injuries for over a month and still has scars until today from it. Management said they would put us in touch with insurance but they failed to get back to me for over 2 months even though I have called and emailed dozens of times. Outside of this horrible experience, the place is beautiful but the food sucks at all of the restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend. Very mediocre experience overall outside of the horrible experience we had. If you look at the photos, you can see the hotel couch in the backdrop so yes, this took place at the resort. Management was negligent in handling this situation. I really would never come here again and really regret coming. So upsetting I’m still angry about it.

My wife and I just returned from a 3-night stay at Terranea Resort. We bid and won the package on Luxury Link. The resort was spectacular and the service was second to none. From the moment we pulled our car up to the beautiful entrance we knew we were in for a treat. We arrived around noon and were a little concerned that we were too early to check in, but it was not a problem and we flew through the check-in. The view from our balcony was incredible. There was nothing between us and the blue Pacific Ocean. If we had to choose the best thing about the resort (which is hard to do), we would have to say the massages at the spa were the best we have ever had. This resort is all about service. The staff always had a smile on their faces and went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed and you were having a good time. The resort is luxury without being pretentious. I don't have a single complaint or suggestion for improving my stay. Thanks for an incredible vacation.

My husband and I just returned from an absolutely fabulous weekend at Terranea. Our 2 night package from Luxury Link included a beautiful ocean view suite, fabulous massages and outstanding breakfasts. The grounds are amazing and we never even left the resort. On Friday and Saturday they have a jazz band that plays in the lobby that was world-class entertainment. Every one of their wonderful employees went out of their way to make our anniversary weekend special. I am so happy that I took the risk of bidding on my first Luxury Link package, as it exceeded all my expectations - and I got a fabulous deal! I will definitely use this site again!

We just returned from fantastic weekend birthday stay at Terranea in an ocean-view suite. Service was top-notch and the grounds are terrific. We watched the sun set into the ocean both nights. They even have a falconer that brings his birds out on a golf cart to deter sea gulls, including an enormous Northern European owl with orange eyes. There were great spa treatments and excellent restaurants, including the stand-out Mar'sel. We will be back.

When my husband and I booked our Terranea package, it seemed too good to be true. Connecting ocean view rooms, 2 massages, breakfast and parking included on a popular August weekend for $1,000? Turns out it was better than anything we could have imagined. The rooms are absolutely 5-star, and the property is breathtaking. The best part, however, was the staff - who really went out of their way to accommodate our every request. At the end of the weekend, the kids were well rested, we were well rested and we couldn't believe we never knew about this resort which is only 2 hours from San Diego. Fantastic. Perfect. Thank You.
