Enjoyed 5 days at this charming little hotel with the town seemingly built around it. Rooms were very quiet, older but nice. Staff was very courteous, food was excellent. The hotel is a classical representation if you are seeking one of the new plastic, glass and modern hotels then don’t stop here. However if you are willing to open your mind to the past you will be rewarded here. Recommended.

I have never experienced such mistreatment. From the moment we came in the front desk was condescending, inattentive, aloof, and sarcastic. At first I thought “maybe it’s just these 2 at the reception” but it kept going through our short stay. Some “highlights”: We asked to have our bags brought to the room at 10 am. At 3:44 they were still not brought. Then we were told they will be brought to our room once we are there - never happened. I had to come back to the lobby (5-6 minute walk) and get them myself. I called guest services to ask for towels. No answer. 3 times. No responses. Had to walk over (again) to ask them for towels. They said they will send them over. That never happened either. Ordered a drink and when I got it was strong. I asked the waiter why it’s so strong and if there’s anyway he can mix it more. The waiter came back with the bartender and the bartender came up to me in front of the entire crowd and just said aggressively “what’s the problem? This is how this drink is made. If you don’t know what you ordered, this is how this drink is done. I was stunned. We did look very different than almost all of the guests and I don’t know if it made a difference but it definitely felt that way. We asked for someone to help us start the fire. Never showed up. Next morning once again we asked for towels and soap and were ignored. I had to walk over to the reception (again) and ask them. 6:30 am their supplies came in with a loud truck right outside our door. I can go on but I think you get the point. In summary: beautiful location with horrible service and staff. They could use some customer service training. I have travelled to over 50 cities worldwide and have NEVER experienced anything like this. Too bad because the place has potential. p.s. the outdoor hot tub is filthy Hope they take this into consideration.

Loved the hotel so much I’ve booked it again the first week of January for a couple of days with my husband. I stay in San Diego 3 nights every week and was looking for a change the week before Xmas and booked the Inn at Rancho Sante Fe. My boss had stayed there a couple of weeks before and highly recommended. She was right! The room was awesome! The fireplace and the private courtyard was an added bonus. Had room service for dinner twice and would recommend. I even locked myself out of my room and two very helpful maintenance gentlemen helped me get back in to my room, would have not been pleasant if they had not come along at the right time. Cannot wait to return and share the Inn with my husband.

We love staying at the Inn! Our two-night visit at the beginning of the month was perfect! Friday night we enjoyed the Christmas celebration, it was amazing with faux snow falling and a great buffet. Breakfast at Morada was delicious, gingerbread pancakes, highly recommended. They had a great turn-out for the Saturday morning classic and high-end car gathering in town, my husband's favorite. Music in the bar on Saturday night, charming and cozy. Our room was perfect, love the fireplace, and the service all around was outstanding!
