Fabulous Girls Getaway!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I recently stayed at The Inn for a quick girls overnight and it couldn't have been better. The new rooms have been redesigned beautifully, lovely furnishings and fixtures. The lobby and main bar are awesome, huge fireplaces, cozy textures and lots of seating. You could hang out there all night, they have a great cocktail menu/wine list, and it overall has a lively and fun vibe. The outdoor patio at Lillian’s is always so charming, so we had a really nice brunch the next morning outside. The hotel itself has had some major upgrades in terms of the spa facilities and the spa menu, activity programming like yoga and sculpt classes, and overall service at the hotel. We had a fabulous time and I would recommend it to anyone coming to the area. It really has a cozy residential feel, you won't want to leave.

Interim stay while our home was under renovation for two months

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My wife and I and our teenage son needed a place to stay for two months while our home was being renovated. The entire staff and management accommodated us with two rooms that were clean and perfect. We had a dog too and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We will stay at the Inn and Rancho Santa Fe again and recommend everyone stay here. Thank you Raj and everyone at the IRSF!

Event Planning Buyer Beware

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently booked a private room for 22 family and friends for 4-hour event. Wasn't given copy of contract until I traveled in and arrived day of event. Had no idea about this until just before guests arrived. It was not only very long but many pages. Since I had no time, I asked if there was anything out of the ordinary, I should pay attention to? They said no, just standard rules and details regarding food, beverages etc. My fault for not reading thoroughly. When the final charge showed up on my cc. It was a little higher than I calculated. Not a huge amount but the gratuity was about $165 over the percent. I called several times asking them to go over this calculation. They left me a vm explaining the gratuity was calculated on total including $500 room charge and service fee for using cc. They also said it was in the contract I sighed. I called again saying in all the years I've had events, I never heard of such a practice. Why am I paying tip on room charge and cc service fee. Asked if this could be credited back to my card. They never responded after leaving 2 messages. For an establishment that reflects such quality and class, they certainly don't show it using this unfair practice. Are they that desperate to take every dollar they can from customers any way they can? It's not about money but more about business integrity.

Exceptional stay at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I haven't written a review on this site for a long time, but I felt compelled to make an exception to bring the wonderful Inn at Rancho Santa Fe to the attention of the members of this site. The manager Vikram and his assistant Raj have done an incredible job taking this hotel to an international standard. The staff are incredibly well trained, friendly, professional, and attentive. All obviously hand picked. The food is excellent, and the rooms have been renovated to perfection. I also like the way that the recent renovation has referenced the history of the Inn and brought this out as a feature. This hotel is now a hidden gem in the Rancho Santa Fe area, and as the Michelin guide would say, worthy of a detour. I can't think of a better place to stay in the area, and I for one am personally delighted to have such a great place to visit on my business trips to Rancho Santa Fe. I will plan to hold my company autumn retreat here also, as the tropical gardens are lavish and beautiful, and the setting reminiscent of the desert vistas of Santa Fe in New Mexico. A tranquil and pleasant place that is somewhere that you must definitely consider staying at if you are visiting the San Diego area. Also the perfect setting for a romantic break or a family holiday. And I haven't even mentioned the wonderful pool area. I can't recommend this place enough! Thank you for a memorable stay.
