We stayed here one night. Had a sea view room which was really nice. Front desk staff who checked us in was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was fine but nothing special. Room was a really good size for two people. Bit of a walk or 5 mins drive to the main town where all the restaurants and shops are. Aircon was not that great. Had to keep the balcony door open at night. Also found underwear in our room from the previous guests LOL

We booked a 3 night stay through Voyage Prive UK. We had a superior room on the 4th floor - fabulous views & tastefully furnished. The service from all members of staff could not be faulted. The spa was lovely although the Jacuzzi was too small & too cold but the sauna & steam rooms were excellent & large. Our only disappointment was dinner in the top floor restaurant. We were treated like 2nd class citizens although not by the staff themselves who were very attentive. We along with 4 other couples, were squeezed in one of the end towers with absolutely no view whatsoever. The curtains were closed as the tower was surrounded by scaffolding. Our break included this meal so weren't actually paying cash unlike the other customers who had window seats with views but that is no excuse for the differing treatment. Otherwise a lovely relaxing break in a beautiful part of Italy.

Booked 3 nights through an online reservations system. Upon arrival we noticed that our room which was close to the elevator wasn't well isolated and each time the elevator stoped on our floor it made some noise. We went to share our concern with the front desk, a blond unpleasant lady explained us that all rooms in that category suffers from the same noise matters and only for an additional fees she can changed us the room! (the hotel was almost empty) I got offended from such a response and decided to stay in that room. Our take from such explanation is that either all regular rooms in that hotel suffer from noises a fact that should be clearly published on the hotel web site and brochures or... should we understand that the hotel policy is first to upgrade it's revenus and the customer satisfaction comes way behind. ..? We still gave 3 star due to good food & beverage offering ( we eat twice at the hotel restaurant) as well we enjoyed good professional service at the spa. Our take... unprofessionnels front desk service (which represents the hotel management policy) can spoil a guest experience, it's a pity

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms were large, a little outdated, but we did have a nice sea view. The breakfast was really good, with masses of choice We did eat snacks one night on the top floor, and was outstanding. I can't remember the servers name, but he was fabulous. The spa attached to the hotel was one of the best we have been in. I had a reasonable priced treatment, and even used there gym on a few occasions. Really enjoyed and would be back again.

There are things to like about the Grand Hotel Bristol: it has a spectacular view and a good location, I found the bed comfortable and the shower effective. But the positives are balanced by one major flaw: no hotel that awards itself the soubriquet 'grand' should be charging extra for internet access in the 21st century. I haven't stayed in any hotel that did not offer Wi Fi as standard for several years. This failure gives the place the air of an elderly Duchess of fading grandeur struggling to keep up with the modern age.
