Got a very good deal with Voyage Prive to stay here. Nice clean, comfortable room and the huge bed was excellent. Yes, as others have mentioned, you can hear the trains but, hey, small price to pay for the lovely sea view! Had a very nice meal in the restaurant one night - fab view at sundown. Arrived late so on the first night we could only get a 'bar meal' - the salad was good but pricey as were the drinks. I'd come here again - it is a few minutes walk into town but a very good base to explore the area - and what a very lovely area it is 😀

Great hotell. Fantastic Location with fabolous views. Service was attentative and friendly. Parking was Easy with garage under the Hotel. Breakfast was superb with the widest selection I have seen in italy incl vegan paistry (!). The rooms Are spacious and the beds Are comfortable. The pool was not open but Being in town for Work we had no time to relax by the pool anyways.

We booked into this hotel for our anniversary and what a find. Helpful friendly staff. Lovely rooms with spectacular views situated in Rapallo which is beautiful. Ferry rides to Portofino and other coastal towns...within 20 to 30 minutes...all of them are so pretty. I highly recommend Rapallo and the Grand Bristol hotel. Forgot to mention 10 minute bus ride...which leaves outside the hotel..into Rapallo...what a wonderful holiday.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights on a Voyage Prive deal towards the end of March, in a superior sea view room. Positives: The view from our room across the harbour was brilliant, though it was slightly obstructed by a crane but this clearly isn't in the hotel's control. Breakfast was tasty (especially the focaccia) and the staff friendly and efficient, with hot drinks being brought to our table. Also, the view from the downstairs restaurant was good. The room was nicely decorated, with a brilliant shower! Turn down service with chocolates were a nice touch. The location of Rapallo itself within the region was ideal for exploring the surrounding areas, such as Portofino, San Margarita, Cinque Terre and Pisa. Negatives: The location of the hotel itself is not ideal. It is a good 20 minute walk into town and 30 minutes to the train station (or a €15 taxi). Furthermore, there is a busy train track in front of the hotel which can be heard especially loudly with the balcony doors open. There was no functioning air conditioning, compounding the issue with the train line as the balcony doors needed to be open to cool the room. The room facilities were lacking; there was no drink making facilities and of course the aforementioned lack of air con. The bed and pillows were firm which we found uncomfortable. Front desk staff seemed to do the bare minimum. In some hotels upon arrival information on the surrounding areas is given, maps, day trips, restaurants etc. This wasn't the case, we weren't even told the time of breakfast (7:30-10:30 in the Chamberlain room downstairs if your wondering). The restaurant: As part of our booking we were given one meal in the le couple restaurant on the top floor (excluding drinks). The food was lovely, we really appreciated the amouse bouche and the pesto pasta and fish of the day was brilliant! Of course, as we expected, we were not offered the whole menu to pick from and instead were offered a limited menu with 3 starters 2 mains and 2 desserts. We didn't mind this and it was clear from looking round the restaurant the majority of customers were on the same deal. Restaurant staff, especially the waitress, were really friendly and went the extra mile to make our meal enjoyable. The wine list was extensive, slightly on the expensive side, although when getting such a lovely meal for 'free' we didn't really mind. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Rapallo greatly although this is probably due to the great surrounding area more than the hotel itself. The Grand Bristol could be a brilliant place to stay with a few minor tweaks. Better room facilities and perhaps a shuttle bus into town once an hour maybe.

We stayed here one night. Had a sea view room which was really nice. Front desk staff who checked us in was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was fine but nothing special. Room was a really good size for two people. Bit of a walk or 5 mins drive to the main town where all the restaurants and shops are. Aircon was not that great. Had to keep the balcony door open at night. Also found underwear in our room from the previous guests LOL
