Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view! The hotel is close to Rapallo and the walk to the city center is very nice. The hotel is not noisy. It is an oasis of luxury. The hotel service is excellent and the restaurant Le Cupole is higly recommended.

The hotel was amazing, the staff very accommodating and friendly, and the room & facilities were luxurious. We had a Deluxe sea-view room at the front of the hotel on the third floor. The large bed is two pushed together but we found it very comfortable - it was a huge sleeping space. The pool was fantastic, it got busy-ish around lunchtime and then again late afternoon when people returned from day trips. Be aware it is expensive to eat and drink at the hotel - we purchased soft drinks from COOP in Santa Margharita and kept them in our mini fridge and drank those by the pool instead. Breakfast was included and was delicious - cakes, meats, fruits, cereal, breads, cooked eggs, AND prosecco. Always a delight to sit on the front terrace. The hotel was outside of Rapallo centre by about 1km, although it's a lovely coastal stroll. If you'd struggle walking up and down hilly paths then you may struggle here and taxis are expensive (15 euros to go that 1km). For us it was the perfect way to see Rapallo and then immerse ourselves in it. There's a free shuttle bus between the hotel, Rapallo, Santa Margharita, and Portofino - it was fantastic and saved us a lot of money on what otherwise were very expensive taxis. The spa was under construction so we didn't use it.

We were assured that our suite had a "seaview" and were extremely disappointed that it turned out to be a "seaview", if you stand near the edge of the railing of the balcony. Our seaview was actually 3/4 of rooftops of buildings and 1/4 of the sea as you stand at the edge of the balcony. We thought that a mistake was made as we checked in early, but they said "no, that is your room". The people at the desk said they would make a note on our room if a room with a better view came available, but of course they did nothing. Also, they do not offer complimentary shuttle, you have to pay for it both ways. The walk into the center of town is about 15min. but it is hilly, and the humidity is oppressive. The room was ok, it seemed to be two bedrooms with a bathroom in between, yet they called it a "suite". Oh, and did I mention that you had to run the COLD water for 10 minutes to get COLD water??? Yes, the cold water!! Also, when you put the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign up, they come into your room anyway??? Their idea of a "Queen" bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together. This place is not inexpensive therefore we expected better! The only positive was the breakfast buffet. My husband and I have been all over Italy, and by far this was the least satisfying experience we have ever had. Needless to say we will never stay here again, nor recommend to our friends/family.

I stayed in this hotel for a week with my two teenage daughters. The service was wonderful. The food as well. It felt like being at home with none of the snottiness of finer hotels. If you want a real vacation - go here!!! There are more prestigious hotels and more updated ones - but feeling relaxed and with the staff being genuinely superfriendly and relaxed - is generally not part of that experience. The rooms were extremely quiet and large by italian standards. I will definitely go back!

I stayed here with my husband and 7 year old in early July 2017. Our check in clerk - Peter was so wonderful and made sure we got a room that was perfect for our family. He came to our assigned room and made sure we were happy there. We can't thank him enough since it made our stay so much more comfortable. We had great views of the sea and it is walking distance to the ferry to Portofino. If you want some relaxing time, you can stay at the pool which was beautiful. The breakfast room and food was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Hopefully, Peter will still be there!!
