Wedding function at hotel so top floor restaurant was not available to residents nor was majority of the bar terrace - paying hotel residents were squeezed onto a side terrace. Sun bathing residents were on the deck right in front of the wedding party who occupied the majority of the bar area so that was awkward!! And loud yes really loud music played throughout the hotel, so retreating to the bar inside or back to your room did not avoid the ridiculously loud music that went on for hours throughout the afternoon and early evening. Forced to go out of the hotel to eat so who know what tonight will hold when the wedding party moves to the upstairs restaurant - which as it is a hot Saturday night would have been great. But oh no we are after all only paying hotel guests. Shame as the hotel is nice , superior room was lovely with good sized bathroom. albeit the hotel is a walk from the centre but has good views provided you have a sea view room and can sit on the balcony. So the management should consider rebating all those residents who were not involved in the wedding party. Hotel management should also consider all paying hotel residents equal consideration rather than putting them second to a wedding party. Certainly if you were not involved in the wedding then you were at a real disadvantage.

There is everything positive about this hotel. Location, comfortable beds and fabulous restaurant. Not to mention the bar / drinks menus. Staff have been wonderful. Beautiful sunset over pool with gin and tonic.

We had a very nice 2 nights here with a group tour. Our balconies had great views, the breakfasts were superb, and it was in a lovely location. The spa was being renovated, which was a disappointment, as that would have been a treat. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Globus tour. We had a sea front room with a small balcony. The views were very picturesque. We didn't spend too much time in the room. There was a nice outside pool below our room. The town of Rapallo has many shops and restaurants and we spent both evenings there. It's a short taxi ride from the hotel. It seemed like it would be a long walk. We took a water taxi from the docks in Rapallo to Portofino which I recommend. We enjoyed our short stay at the Bristol. The breakfasts and views were very good.

We stayed here in July for 7 nights. Check in was warm and welcoming and our room was on the 4th floor at the side of the hotel so not a sea view room. The bedroom was a reasonable size and very clean and bright but the bathroom was small and the shower cubicle very small and the door leaked so you had to be careful not to slip when you got out. Not worth reporting to the management but could be improved on. The bar and terrace area on the first floor have lovely views overlooking the sea so you can watch the sunset. The pool bar offers snacks and meals round the pool but there were occasions when we had to wait along time to be served once they had taken our order and we noticed that some other guests decided not to bother and walked away. Perhaps this was a blip and doesn't always happen. The pool area is elevated above the road which was often noisy from the traffic which was not very relaxing. The hotel is approx 15 minute walk to the centre of Rapallo or you can take the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the town. Make sure you are there on time if you want to use the free bus as times were limited with many guests wanting to use this service. It was approx 15 euros if you used a taxi. We walked most evenings to the town but got a taxi back up the hill to the hotel. Rapallo itself has lots to offer and we were lucky enough to enjoy the Rapallo festival with street markets and live music. You can easily take the water taxis to nearby resorts such as Portofino or Santa Margherita. We took the train to Camogli which is a lovely fishing village with harbour and quaint shops and restaurants overlooking the bay. Rapallo has lots to offer and we chose this resort as we knew that it was a great base to visit other parts of Liguria. I would go back to this resort but look for a hotel that was closer to the town. Some aspects of the hotel are excellent but if you have mobility issues and not keen on walking then check the location before you book
