We are R&C junkies; on this trip we did 5 R&C establishments. Very friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic room and right in the centre and walking distance to many things. Breakfast is a little spartan but it wasn't a problem and they only have bar snack/light meals in the evening but there are so many restaurants around that's not a problem either and as the room was amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful we loved the place

Great staff. Personal service. Enjoyed the estate wine. Small hotel but room was large and bathroom spacious. Perfect location in Recoleta neighborhood walking distance from major attractions. Must stay.

I love small hotels - when they work. This one almost did but too many little things and one big thing just added up to be a big disappointment. Some of the things that went wrong were just bad coincidence but they happened and either they shouldn't have or the response from the hotel was just wrong. The rooms are very good though there are some strange things like an enormous bed, so big that I had to use my cell phone to contact my wife and she was in bed with me. The location is perfect. The staff (too few of them, I think) are uniformly cheerful, helpful, nice and efficient. The staff does not seem to me to be the problem. But here's my list over four nights, not in any particular order; 1) our enormous bathroom needed work. The glass shower door didn't completely close and there was a loose marble floor tile in the shower. 2) In the bedroom, the curtains didn't close completely. I tried everything. Finally, the guy from the front desk showed me the correct button to push. It was not intuitive and nobody had told us how to do it when we checked in. 3) the Nespresso machine wasn't working. The maintenance guy came up and fixed it. 4) the Crestron lighting system went down twice and had to be reset by management, and 5) there the 5 hours without water, including water for flushing to toilets. No warning. On returning to the hotel later in the day we were told that the water was back on. It was sort of. Air and brown, smelly water spit from the sinks, the shower, the bathtub and toilet. should have been warned. And no hot water until late that evening. We should have been warned. 6) the internet was intermittent, but I understand a big upgrade is coming. Loved the bar and the breakfast. Loved the afternoon tea room and afternoon open bar. Liked some of the Algodon wines. But Algodon Mansion, needs to get its act together to make this the hotel it was or could be. And the offer of a discounted room next time we visit does not seem to me to be appropriate.

The Algodon Mansion is a little corner of heaven. The rooms were smart, stylish and very comfortable. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. There is a terrific reception room for guests of the hotel where they serve complimentary wine from the Algodon vineyards and great snacks each afternoon. There is also a beautiful rooftop deck and spa. The hotel has an affiliation with a nearby fitness center that was perfect for our daily workout. We couldn't have been happier during our stay in Buenos Aires.

Great service, open bar, very friendly staff and big, comfortable rooms that however need more investment in maintenance to keep up to expectations of a Relais Chateux. Locarion is also prvileged in a very nice neighborhood.
