Algodon Mansion is centrally located near Retiro and Recoleta in a quite residential neighborhood. The 10 rooms, or better said suites, of this beautiful Relais & Chateau are very generous, decorated individually and with great style. The roof top terrace with pool is a standout. The staff is friendly, trained to give their best, high standard of service and that with a smile - from the front desk, to the bar, the room service and restaurant.

Yes, this is an architectural gem with lovely attention to detail (Frette linens, etc) situated in a beautiful area of an interesting and exciting city. What makes it so very special is the staff. Before we even arrived, Rocio had already made our lives easier, helping us with travel arrangements in a way that went beyond the norm and this was the case during our entire visit . Leonardo was also extraordinary in his assistance before our arrival and throughout our stay. They gave us such a sense of reassurance and warmth. Sofia and Jimena were kind, friendly and gave helpful advice. They all went that extra mile. Francisco and Raol were always smiling. Breakfast with Rocio was a delight. We have never met a staff of such quality- always cheerful, fun and eager to assist. Our room was large, handsome and extremely comfortable. The bed with those divine linens felt very luxurious. The bathroom had a huge tub and a fabulous shower-lovely soaps, etc. great towels. Breakfast was delicious-sweet cakes, scones, croissants, eggs, cereal, toast, juice and excellent coffee. The hotel serves dinner but unfortunately we did not have a chance to eat there. The bar has a very pleasant atmosphere and their wines are very nice. Was this the perfect introduction to a great city? You bet ! A charming, intimate hotel that felt like your own mansion with such marvelous friends. Gracias !

The rooms are really suites and you feel like you are almost on your own private floor. We had two rooms next to each other and kept the doors open to them. The only flaw of the hotel is the room where they serve breakfast: very quiet and dark, food not good. But easily solved by going out into the city.

Based on the restaurant reviews and the fact the the hotel is part of the Relais and Chateaux association, we chose to stay here for 3 nights. The excellently located hotel has a nice, intimate feel while the suites are very large and well appointed. However, we never did have dinner in the restaurant, it was closed for good on the day we arrived and the space is apparently to be re-assigned as a guest lounge area. Not sure how this will sit with R&C. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with service bordering on surly at times. Maybe it's a language thing. However, excellent cocktails and bar snacks made for a pleasant stay.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago at the end of our cruise to Antarctica. Have been to BA numerous times and after experiencing a couple of the larger, more well know hotels, along with there attitude, wanted to try something different, and we were not disappointed. We arrived early on a Thursday morning (as we had to disembark the ship) and while the room was not quite ready, they invited us to the lovely dining room for coffee while we waited. The rooms are all suites and ours was lovely. The bathroom was as large as the bedroom, with a wonderful waterfall showerhead, a large soaking tub and nicely appointed amenities. There was also a separate sitting room with a television and bar. The staff here couldn't have been more helpful. Our friends who were flying out that evening had joined us so that we could tour the city for the day, and the staff held their luggage at no charge. A couple of days later, some other friends came over and we had drinks in the lovely, cozy bar and then proceeded to the dining room. Great drinks, wonderful wines and delicious food. I will definitely return on my next visit to BA
