Descent Stay near the water
The rooms are lovely but there should be coffee available in the lobby and sticking the bathrooms with toilet tissue would be helpful. There is also halway music that is playing until 10 - 11pm at night which makes it difficult to sleep.

One of the best Birthday presents ever!
The location of this wonderful Hotel is spectacular and the only Hotel on the water in Redondo Beach that I know of. The room I stayed in on the 3rd floor had fantastic views and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The bartender was excellent and fun. The restaurant, Baleen, was outstanding. Even the valet drivers were very polite and prompt. A great place to stay for a special occasion or a business trip.

Best place to stay in the South Bay
The location of The Portofino is perfect for experiencing the best of the South Bay. It’s walking distance to both the Hermosa Pier and the Redondo Pier. Very quick Uber rides, or a bike ride, to The Riviera or Manhattan Beach. The rooms are terrific and the staff is wonderful, I’ve stayed here several times and have always had a perfect stay & a fabulous time.

REDONDO BEACH’s Secret Gem
My favorite thing about this Hotel is the fact that it is nestled away from all the congestion often found in the SouthBay and it’s over-crowded streets. It literally gets quieter as you drive down Beryl into the Marina past PCH. It’s quaint size has such an appeal and makes you feel like you are away from everything else, yet only a mile away from multiple restaurants. Whether you are enjoying the spectacular and unobstructed Sunset view from the Lobby Bar with its floor-to-ceiling windows, or from your private balcony, or is truly one of Redondo Beach’s secret gems The rooms are a very comfortable size for 2 people, and the sofa is great if you just wanna sit around and watch some TV. The staff is incredibly sweet and was so accommodating to our needs. Parking is a breeze, and one quick step outside back of the Hotel and you are walking along the Marina and the rocks watching the seals play. I’ve always been a fan of smaller more boutique hotels, and the Portofino did not disappoint
