Huge casino, smoky, focused on slots. Went to two of their restaurants, just ok. Well equipped gym, but no windows. Pool area is not private or secluded, lots of people walking by looking at you. Arcade on site. Room was huge. Fake fire place - no flame or heat. Fridge (empty). Bed was comfy. Shower could have used more pressure, but fine. Free parking, efficient check in and out. Was there for a conference, otherwise I would probably go elsewhere.

I’m a long-time guest at the Peppermill, and my mother is a Chairman member — the highest tier of loyalty, reserved for top players. She has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars here over the years, and most recently over $40,000 in just three days. Unfortunately, the level of service we experienced during our most recent visit was shockingly poor and completely unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. While playing blackjack, my mother tipped a dealer, who responded with a rude facial expression and zero appreciation. When I politely spoke up, the dealer snapped back at me and escalated the situation instead of showing even basic professionalism. Things became so tense that a pit boss had to intervene, and while he apologized and comped 50 points to my mother and boyfriend’s cards, he strangely didn’t add any to mine. But the worst part was the interaction with the general manager, Fred Gonzalez. When we tried to calmly discuss what happened, he approached us with visible annoyance and condescension. His exact words were, “What do you want me to do, fire her right now?” — an incredibly unprofessional and sarcastic remark, especially toward a Chairman guest. Instead of listening or trying to make things right, he was defensive, dismissive, and acted as if we were inconveniencing him. For a resort that prides itself on luxury service, this behavior is inexcusable. The staff clearly needs retraining on how to treat their highest-tier guests — or frankly, any guest — with respect and professionalism. After years of loyalty, my family and I will no longer be gambling or staying at the Peppermill. We’ll be taking our business to Atlantis, where guests are treated with genuine courtesy and appreciation. It’s truly disappointing to see such a decline in hospitality from what used to be one of Reno’s premier resorts.

Don’t even bother. Get thee straight to Atlantis. Came here for a trip with my mom, and they put us in a 1980’s smoking room in the North Tower with stained carpets, bad lighting and a creaky shower. For the same price, we got a beautiful new room at the Atlantis with 1000% better service and ambiance. Do not stay at the Peppermill if you can get a room at the Atlantis.

We usually love the Peppermill so we planned our anniversary weekend here. The week before our trip, I tried calling the spa to purchase a gift for my husband many, many times. They never answer the phones! I left multiple messages for a callback - never happened, called the front desk and they couldn't get through. The day we arrived, I waited at the entry for the spa to open and met the Spa Director. She was quite nice and "would look into it". Never heard from her either. Sadly, they had no openings and we went to the Atlantis where we spent almost $1000 on a couples package. Never again will I give Peppermill Spa my business.

Stayed 3 nights for a business conference in September in a single King room. The room was clean, bed super comfortable with several pillows to choose from, a closet for hanging clothes, plenty of drawers for storage, and a nice large bench to keep my belongings organized. The bathroom was a nice size with plenty of towels, a blow dryer and a shower that had the best water pressure!! The room is equipped with an alarm clock, plenty of charging capabilities and a mini fridge. There are plenty of elevators that move quickly - never a wait. We ate at Milano and Biscotti where menu options were plentiful, food was tasty and waitstaff were great - friendly and attentive. We were up very early each morning and never without coffee/tea/breakfast - the Espresso bar near the lobby is open 24 hours with so many delicious items to choose from, including beautiful pastries, quiche and fresh fruit. The airport shuttles run promptly on a schedule, and shuttles ran constantly to and from the convention center for the business conference. Very convenient! I had one issue upon check in where the bathroom sink stopper was stuck and therefore water would not drain; upon reporting the issue, maintenance was at my door within 10 minutes (maybe less) and fixed it quickly. Weather was spectacular - in the low 80s with 16% humidity! Glorious!
