Reviews for The Jefferson Hotel

Outstanding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend! We were so surprised at check in when Justin told us they upgraded us to a suite and he thought we would appreciate the extra room....oh boy! What a beautiful suite!! The bed was so comfortable, water provided, robes/slippers, Mouton amenities and a pack of note cards to take home. We went to dinner in Lemaire and it was delicious! Weird to note though that they gave my husband the menu with the prices and I was not given one with prices. This is 2024. Really? The hotel has a walking tour and is just outstanding. We stayed at the Omni on our last night in town and had a horrible experience. We were missing the Jefferson the whole week!

A grand old hotel with excellent service

My daughter and I stayed at the Jefferson twice in April on the way south for a holiday and again on the way home north. Our family had stayed here 20 years ago and decided to see how it had held up. It is a very special property, historic and elegant. As with many grand old hotels it is not modern and it has been some time since its last major renovation but it is impeccably maintained and housekeeping is excellent. What really stood out was the service . Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Valet staff, room service and concierge were all excellent. Very special thanks to agent Jones who was so helpful when we left our passports in the hotel safe. This is a character hotel that is so refreshing in a world of cookie cutter lodging.

A hotel worthy of its name

The place has wow factor without doubt. The façade has a wonderful late 19th century feeling with its soaring towers and white stone surface. Lobby and restaurant equal it, with wonderful stain glass and wood. The room turned out to be up to date, with carpet that looked new, furniture that showed no scratches and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a room in itself, with marble and large shower with a separate deep tub and a television embedded in the mirror that actually worked. The a/c was whisper quiet. Restaurant food did not disappoint. Very good wine list, excellent red (bell) pepper bisque, well executed crab cake and friendly service. Breakfast was the same. Definitely the smoothie was one of the better hotel-made ones I’d ever had. Place is quiet. Staff friendly and hard working. Well worth the stay.

Beautiful, well-appointed hotel rooms and excellent service.

We are locals and stayed at the Jefferson Hotel around Valentine's Day 2024. This was our first overnight visit to the hotel. Check-in went smoothly and the person at the front desk was patient and friendly to someone she was speaking with on the phone. Our room was nicer than expected. It was renovated, spacious, immaculate, well-maintained, and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated the separate tub and shower plus separate water closet. Room service was timely and had nice dessert offerings. Our breakfast in the morning was tasty and the person who served us breakfast was top notch.

Horrible

Very bad experience, not recommended at all, the only good thing is a location, but my husband and I were horrified with a cleaning and poor service… (it is also important to say that my husband had problem with his health and allergic to some products, and found it impossible to find food there)
