Horned Dorset Primavera in Rincon, Puerto Rico
Celebrated for its rustic environment, the west coast of Puerto Rico provides a stunning contrast to the sophistication and modernity of Horned Dorset Primavera. The contemporary hacienda architecture of this exclusive retreat sets a romantic tone, which is further enhanced by such luxuries as two-story suites and private plunge pools gazing across the Caribbean. Spanish colonial style is complemented with Balinese, Italian and Moroccan touches, while fine dining opportunities include the recently remodeled Restaurant Aaron and seasonal, open-air Blue Room bistro.
The island's western corner is a paradise of verdant hills, cattle ranches and rugged coastlines. Popular for its surf and seclusion, it offers enchantment at every turn, from humpback whale watching in season, to snorkeling submarine caves and pristine coral reefs. You might hop a helicopter to a Robert Trent Jones golf course, or learn more about local culture at the Taino Indian Ceremonial Park. Whether deep sea fishing, hanging ten, or horseback riding along a deserted beach, you will find an unspoiled wonderland to call your own at Horned Dorset Primavera.

We spent the last 3 days at this amazing Boutique Hotel in Rincon, Puerto Rico. I am not easily impressed but this hotel was everything! The attention to detail is amazing. In addition to true Elegance, the staff is amazing and this hotel hosts one of the best restaurants on the island. This is an in the know, off the map, amazing location that is host to Royalty, Celebrity and Presidents. Let me know if you have questions! Just excellent. Addendum: We ate dinner last night at The English Rose Restaurant in the hotel. It was one of the best meals I have had in years...We will be back!

Even do this hotels is in seriously need of tender loving care, I love the place, is just the ambiance of the rooms that make this place a wonderful couples destination. Pools in every rooms and the Moroccan style decorations makes its just very special place to be. Very confortable bed and the shower with 8 shower heads o my. Its just a great place for a romantic getaway.
We decided to spend few days away from the metro area and just unplugged from the day-to-day routine. We have stayed before in this location, but few years back. Unfortunately, this property needs a lot of maintenance. During our stay, it began to rain and the room, second floor, started to leak in multiple small areas. Management should do the following updates: fix the ceiling water leaks, paint, provide maintenance to the A/C unit, improve outdoor general maintenance (green areas), and generally clean. Too expensive for what it is actually offering to customers. Rincon, in general, is one of the best areas in Puerto Rico. In a separate note, the newly opened restaurant Chateau Rose was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the service was amazing. The dining salon was beautiful, full of hand painted mosaics and with a view to die for.......The menu was expertly executed. We had a tasting menu of classic french cuisine that was out of this world, a bit pricey, but worth every penny. I think, the hotel needs to take an example from the restaurant (now independently operated) and reinvent itself to improve and go back to its former glory.....

Second visit to the restaurant. My first visit was for Valentines Day and it was an excellent experience, although prices seems high, it was worth it. We decided to go for mothers day. The food experience and the service was not the same. The appetizer of crab cakes was very good, The main dish of Tuna was over cook, kind of hard to chew. We are sweets lovers, but the chocolate rissoto desert was terrible. We have to serve our own wine two times, dripping water all over the table. There was a piano playing and was very good. For a night close to $300 we were not happy. We decided to take a break from the restaurant for a while.
