Horned Dorset Primavera in Rincon, Puerto Rico
Celebrated for its rustic environment, the west coast of Puerto Rico provides a stunning contrast to the sophistication and modernity of Horned Dorset Primavera. The contemporary hacienda architecture of this exclusive retreat sets a romantic tone, which is further enhanced by such luxuries as two-story suites and private plunge pools gazing across the Caribbean. Spanish colonial style is complemented with Balinese, Italian and Moroccan touches, while fine dining opportunities include the recently remodeled Restaurant Aaron and seasonal, open-air Blue Room bistro.
The island's western corner is a paradise of verdant hills, cattle ranches and rugged coastlines. Popular for its surf and seclusion, it offers enchantment at every turn, from humpback whale watching in season, to snorkeling submarine caves and pristine coral reefs. You might hop a helicopter to a Robert Trent Jones golf course, or learn more about local culture at the Taino Indian Ceremonial Park. Whether deep sea fishing, hanging ten, or horseback riding along a deserted beach, you will find an unspoiled wonderland to call your own at Horned Dorset Primavera.

Reviews for Horned Dorset Primavera
We were staying nearby and visited the grounds of this beautiful hotel. It is an exquisite property with much potential. We met a staff member who was recently employed by the hotel he was very personable and kind

Despite the devastation of Hurricane Maria, the Horned Dorset bent over backwards to accommodate us two weeks ago. During our brief visit for a Rincon wedding, there were only a limited number of usable rooms, but management was actively trying to turn around as many as possible as quickly as possible so as to return the hotel to its beautiful roots. Wilhelm, the manager and a part owner was lovely and did his best to make our stay pleasant.

Words can't describe the peace and tranquility that is experienced while visiting the Horned Dorset! Mr Sack and his staff were very attentive and the accommodations are spectacular. It truly was the experience of a lifetime!

This establishment should be Michelin rated. Our five course meal was sensational in every way. My wife had the cucumber dill soup, salad with guvava vinaigrette, pasta primavera, and cheese cake. Everything was a taste sensation. I started with a pumpkin fennel soup which was thick and tasty followed by the salad. My entre was the grilled pork chop with a luscious sauce accompanied by creamy polenta and baby asparagus. We were seated on the balcony with the sound of the surf below. Our table was elegantly set. Most impressive was the wait staff as they were well versed in the essential elements of fine dining. Their level of experience was beyond their youthfulness. There was professionalism in all that they did. It's a price fixed menu but you can make substitutions. This was an expensive meal but it was well worth the splurge for my wife's birthday.
We had an ocean view suite, two floors with a punch pool. The pool was the highlight of the stay, kept very clean. We had excellent maid service, and when we needed something like kitchen utensils, plates, etc. they were brought to us immediately. The place can be described as rustic chic. Yes, the place needs quite a bit of upkeep, and you can tell that the management is trying very hard to do this. The views are to die for. you sleep like a baby with the ocean slapping on the beach. The owner is a delight and very accommodating. The only drawback I would say is the restaurant the Chateau Rose, billed as a French restaurant, NOT! Good service with awful food. I am amazed at some of the reviews I have read where people say the food was wonderful, etc.??? Would stay again.
