It's a beautiful property, but I wouldn't recommend it or go back. We booked 2 queen beds, but somehow got "upgraded" to a room with 2 double beds. This was less than ideal for a family of 4. My son fell out of bed and got really hurt and was shaken up the first night. I called the next morning on our way out to an excursion to request a room change. They said the supervisor wasn't in yet, but they would check once they arrived and call me back. No one ever called me so I had to go to the front desk again later in the day and fight with them about it. They didn't understand why I wanted to "downgrade" to a room with bigger beds and said they were fully booked. Eventually they were able to move us to a new room around 9pm. The last thing I want to do while I am on vacation is have to constantly follow up on when an issue will be fixed. There were lights under the bed that went on every time we even slightly rolled in bed. Luckily they weren't as bright or sensitive in the 2nd room, but the first night no one got any sleep. You also needed to make reservations for dinner at all of the restaurants. I think some you don't need to when they aren't as busy, but since they were fully booked while we were there, you had to make reservations. That's another thing I don't like to do while on vacation. I want to relax and not be on a schedule, so having to plan dinner days in advance was a turn off for me. The food at the restaurants was not great and over priced and we had some really bad service. (Wrong meal, spilled water all over my husband and our table, kept forgetting to bring out the bread we asked for then finally brought it out with our dinner an hour later, forgetting drink orders, etc.)

My family had a great stay at the Hyatt. It was great for kids (my daughters are 3 and 2). We booked a suite and it was like a 1 bedroom apartment. I would definitely go back to this resort next year!

Beautiful, well maintained, with plenty of options for kids, including a Kids Club with different activities every hour! Nanette runs the club and she is awesome!

Great hotel. Off the beaten path. Definitely need a car. The property was huge. We rented a villa and had access to a secluded beach and pool w cabanas that was less crowded. That was amazing. The rooms were clean and large. The breakfast was great, there were so many options and we enjoyed the PR food the most. Vegetation options were included. and The lushness of the vegetation and the abundance of lizards and iguanas made it great for young and old. Property was maintained. We rented biked and explored the property. There are two pools and two beaches to choose from. Kids played games and adults relaxed. We would have used more amnesties but the pool and beach were plenty for us. We spent a day at el yunque which was about 35 mins away. We were a party of 9 and at times we felt like we were alone on vacation. It was beautiful, calm and peaceful.

I came to the Hyatt Regency Grand for my birthday trip and fell in love! The martini bar is my favorite with the best bartender Richard. I had the best food and lychee martinis (yes more than one) !
